I know this looks too complicated to those who are not familiar with Cheat Engine. But until a modder makes a more skill slots mod or skills are always active mod, Cheat Engine is our only alternative. And looks there won't be such mods until RedKit is released. Hell, there is no guarantee that there will be such mods even after RedKit is released. So i suggest you guys get used to Cheat Engine.

From the table creator Zanzer: So the script activation method changed. First click on "Active All Skills" box, then click on "Lookup Skill Slot 1 Adress" box, then click on "Skill Slot 1 Adress" box. Another important thing: According to my test the script works fine for Combat, Sign, Alchemy trees. Meaning you don't have to equip any of the skills under these trees. But the script doesn't work fine for the General tree, these skills are totally unaffected by the script. You have to equip the General skills in the skill slots to activate them. Good thing is there are 10 General skills and 12 skill slots, so there is no problem.

I haven't tested it extensively yet. Once i play for a few hours with the script activated, i'll report. Btw by "traveling to another map" they mean traveling from Velen to Skellige or Skellige to Orchard etc. I don't think they mean fast travelling from point A to point B within the same map. So it's not so bad. Anyway here is the user report from CE forums:

http://forum.cheatengine.org/viewtopic.php?p=5594447 We've been asking for an activate all skills mod for some time. Zanzer from Cheat Engine forums added such a feature to his The Witcher 3 table. Looks like it's not perfect yet, it's working for some (including me) and not working for others. And according to user reports loading a save game or traveling to another map breaks the script. Check your character page from time to time, if the script is not active anymore, just deactivate and re-activate the script via the table. I'll explain how to use the CE table in case some of you don't know: 1. First, make sure that your game is updated to the latest 1.05 version. This is important. 2. Download and install Cheat Engine 6.4. Those who have an older version of CE, you too download the latest 6.4 version: http://cheatengine.org/downloads.php 3. Download the Wither 3 table at the end of the Zanzer's post: http://forum.cheatengine.org/viewtopic.php?p=5594447 4. Now backup your save files before doing anything else. Neither i nor the table maker is responsible if the script breaks your game somehow. 5. Run Witcher 3, load a save, open character window, empty all skill slots because you won't need them after activating the script. Then alt+tab to desktop. 6. Run the Witcher 3 table that you downloaded. Then File > Open Process > Find the witcher3.exe on the list and open it. Click yes when asked "Keep the current blabla?" 7. Now you see the list of scripts on the table. Find "Activate All Skills", click on its box JUST ONCE - NOT MORE, because clicking many times might freeze the table. Activating this script might take some time depending on your PC performance. Wait and don't touch anything untill you see X inside the box, X means the script is activated. 8. After that leave the table running and return back to the game. Open character window, take a look at skills. If the script worked for you, you can see that skills are selected even though they are not equipped in skill slots. Any skill that you invested skill points in it will be active from now on. But how to be sure they are really active and your character is benefitting from them? As you know signs have alternative modes (the second skill on each sign column) you can use by holding the cast sign button Q. Make sure all skill slots are empty, none of the skills are equipped, and make sure to invest some skills point in any of these sign alternative modes. Now find an enemy, select the sign that you invested points in its alternative mod, hold the Q button, did the sign's alternative mode activated even though it's not equipped in any skill slot? Congrats, the script is working fine for you. Hope this was descriptive enough, my English far from perfect. Don't ask me the technical details because i don't know anything about them. If you have more questions, you can ask them to the table maker on Witcher 3 table thread: http://forum.cheatengine.org/viewtopic.php?p=5594447

Mod Request: Zoom-In Camera (i added a pic)
keranaci replied to yutomi's topic in The Witcher's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Go here: http://forum.cheatengine.org/viewtopic.php?t=581792&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight= Download the table at the end of the first post. Run Witcher 3, load a save, alt+tab to desktop. Run the table you downloaded. File > Open Process > Find and open witcher3.exe process Click on the Adjust Camera Position box, and new sub menu will open. There you can see the Camera Distance 3.5 . Double click on the 3.5 and change it as you like, keep the Cheat Engine running, return back to game. That's it! You can experiment with the setting until you find the best distance value for your taste. Beware, i haven't tried most of the features of this table, i don't know if they work or how they work. Don't touch anything else except the camera distance value if you don't know what you are doing. I'm not responsible if you break your game and definitely i'm not responsible if your computer explodes and you die! -

Till someone makes a camera mod, Cheat Engine is your only option. You can set the distance as you like, whether closer or farther. -

[Mod request] Make general skills passive
keranaci replied to TW08's topic in The Witcher's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Totally agreed. Related threads: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2904759-mod-request-disable-the-skill-slots-system-make-the-skills-active-all-the-time/ http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2882524-mod-request-skills-always-active/ Looks like everyone is complaining about the stupid skill slots system. Skills are not items, why do we have to equip them to benefit from them? I hope a skilled modder helps us. -
Mod request: skills always active
keranaci replied to zizimpa's topic in The Witcher's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Can you release it as a mod please? If you release it, i promise it will be a very popular mod. -
Yeah i just read it. Seems like we are out of luck untill REDKIT comes and we don't know when it will be released. Now i'm really disappointed, why make such a skill system without asking the fans? They should have used the good old non-restrictive skill system. Anyway, seems like this guys method is not bad at all: But someone else asked him to release it as a mod and he hasn't replied yet.

First request: I know Geralt is called White Wolf for a reason, but i think he would look much better with grayish hair and beard. Second request: Geralt's eyebrows are too dark in game, they look weird in my opinion. Look at this picture: http://www.gameranx.com/img/13-Jun/witcher-3.jpg His eyebrows are lighter and look much better. Can any of you fine modders do these?

As you know in Witcher 3 investing points in skills is not enough, you have to equip them like you equip items to activate them. This is the worst system i have ever seen in a RPG game. What's worse there are only 12 skill slots, not enough for many of us. While RPGs are becoming less and less restrictive these days, promoting open worlds and freedom of choices and such, how come their skill systems are becoming more and more restrictive? I can't believe there are developers out there who think that giving the gamers restrictive skill systems is a great idea. Limiting available skill points to balance the game is acceptable, but giving us damn skill slots and limiting them to 12 is not acceptable. Witcher 3 is such a great game, too bad i can't enjoy it while its skill system is giving me cancer. Dear modders, i ask of you to increase the number of skill slots considerably if you can, or even better disable the slot system completely and make any skill active all the time, provided you invested skill point/s in it. Do this and i'll name my firstborn after you!

Hi, i have a weird performance problem. Normally i play the game at 60 fps without any problems. (There are some annoying micro stutters, but not game breaking.) There are two things that drop my fps: 1. Embers. At first i thought the problem was smoke rising from embers but no, it's only embers. If i look at embers my fps drops from 60 to 30-35. Even if i face embers from a very long distance fps still drops. 2. Town centers. For example when i face the large well in the middle of Riften marketplace, my fps drops to 35-40. And most of the towns have similar problems. It's not npcs or embers or something else. My fps is high when i'm not facing the marketplace. So my pc handles everything Skyrim and tons of mods throw at it, but not embers and town centers! Some useful info: FX 8350 - HD 7950 - 16 GB DDR3 1600 MHZ Windows 7 64 bit All drivers and programs are up to date Skyrim up to date I tried with or without mods (completely removing everything non-vanilla and then starting a new game), i tried with custom or vanilla ini files, i tried with custom RadeonPro profile or vanilla, i tried everything... No difference, my fps always drops. I know that town fps drop is a very common problem, i can live with it. But embers ruin my game, please help me.
