  1. Remember that Skyrim itself cannot DIRECTLY cause a blue screen or system crash. It only passes commands and data to the drivers that handle everything. True bugs merely kick out out ( CTD's or Crashes to Desktop ). The OS and drivers should properly handle bad calls, etc. without crashing. If your system crashes, look to a hardware issue. I've found that Skyrim puts a lot of load on the CPU. I've used it to find hardware problems on a couple of laptops, that would do exactly as you've said only when running Skyrim. In each case it has turned out that overheating was to blame, in once case the video chipset, in another the CPU and in a third RAM was getting too hot due to the exhaust from the CPU and video coolers.
  2. It is, and it may be at the core of your problems. The ring indicates that the receiver is not getting a consistent data stream from the controller. You should first try changing the batteries, making sure they are properly oriented. Them move the receiver to another location just in case you are seeing interference from something. Finally try plugging the receiver into another port in the mothrboard itself. Do NOT use a USB port expander, etc... If all else fails take the controller back.... though it could possibly be your system as well. Skyrim runs great on the PC with an Xbox 360 controller.
  3. Bring up the game in Windowed mode, move the Skyrim window into the screen you want to play it in full screen later, then using the mouse EXIT Skrim. Switch Skyrim back to full screen mode, and your problem is gone.
  4. This is WONDERFUL. Question; After I install an edited character file, that character's lips no longer move when talking. Have I don something wrong ? Is this a bug or an effect of the edit? Thanks.
