  1. I really don't have the patience to troubleshoot mod compatibility anymore, and there seems to be no "mod packs". Would it really be that hard for someone to compile a whole bunch of mods into one giant file that are compatible with each other and can be thrown right into the fo4 folder enabled and played? One would figure a entire branch of a mod website would be dedicated to that, yet there isn't. Like how do i know if the beantown interiors project breaks idk, a sanctuary redesign mod, neither one mention eachother, yet back when I heavily modded my fallout new vegas i consistently had crashing issues in certain regions because of mods that didn't play well together. Anyway, im just really looking for a whole host of compatible general mods to expand the game, improve systems like the modding system, more exploration maybe more custom story's so I can have a reason to invest time into playing FO4 again, but picking mods atm feels like a messy confusing game of Russian roulette where id have to spend a month finding the right addons to not cause a crashfest if i try to play the entire game with them enabled. Id also very much like to use the sim settlers but does using world landscape changes to builable areas cause that to glitch out and cause crashes? the only way to see is to try it out apparently, which takes a TON of invested time, might aswell design my own massive mods at that point to change the entire game myself...
  2. You could try installing NVAC http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/53635/? -- If you use NVSE
  3. I found the 4gb launchers log. Heres where it goes wrong. Loader: Changing directory to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas Loader: Unable set current dir to game dir. - The system cannot find the file specified. My FNV is located E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas
  4. I have Two Issues going on here. 1: I installed NVSE's files, to the Fallout New Vegas Directory (E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas) NOT the data folder, as it specifically said. Problem 1: The main reason i want NVSE is for the the mod NVAC, which asks you to put it in Data > NVSE > Plugins, well there is no "NVSE" folder in my Data Folder. 2: I downloaded FNV4GB 1.6 http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35262/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fnewvegas%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D35262&pUp=1 Problem 2: I unzipped it into a regular folder, put it into the fallout new vegas main directory, I try to launch "fnv4gb.exe" and it pops up with an error saying "Unable set current dir to game dir." "The system cannot find the file specified". I use Windows 8.1 Pro, 8gb ram, 4gb 770gtx, if it means anything. Edit: Another note, the 4gb launcher says It will also detect and work with skyrim, my skyrim is in my main C: directory whilas FNV is in my second harddrive E: so wouldent it give me a option to launch skyrim instead of just erroring if the disk directory was the problem?
  5. Hey, I have been really wishing someone would fuse some of the biggest texture replacement mods with eachother, and make them compatable with eachother. The Main ones I am referring to are: NMCs_Texture_Pack_For_New_Vegas (Large pack) OJO BUENO High Quality Texture Workshop (Every Pack) MGs Neat Clutter RetexturesCombining those mods and improving their compatability could really allow us to update Fallout New Vegas's Graphics to new(er) age graphics. A Few other Mods that would go great in a big retexture pack would be: Improved LOD Noise Texture or High Detail LOD for Mojave HI-RES Chems and Health Re-Texture Cigarettes Replacement Omnis Hi-Res Pip-Boy 3000 Urban Food Re-Tex Minimod - High Resolution Newspapers High Res Turpentine Flour Retexture Superglue-Wonderglue retexture Gun Cabinet Retextured (4K) NV Bed Retexture Hectrol Mystic Chessboard Deluxe HighRes RetexEdit: Like it would be amazing to just download one big pack to upgrade the entire games graphics, If I knew how I would fuse them myself.
  6. This is a old post but its the only one I can find. Does anyone know if this setting renders Everything further away? Grass, rocks, terrain and whatnot. With modern gpu's we could probably tweek our graphics to load stuff like 10x further away without lag, and that would really improve the quality of the game in general.
  7. It has taken me alot of searching to figure out how I can search for mods by typing in their name, which is easier than searching through tons and tons of files. My Suggestion would be a easier or clearer path to a Mod Search bar, right now the only way i know how to get there is by clicking on Files directly and none of its dropdown listings. A good way to do that might be adding "Manual Search" or somthing to the bottom of the dropdown list.
  8. Im trying to heavily mod my fallout yet just about every time i go near new vegas or primm It crashes and says "Fallout NV is not responding" and all that. Using: AWOP (A world of pain)Better New VegasFreesideOpenNSkiesElectro City /w highway optional onNew Vegas Error Corrections Bugfixes - NO DLCArwen_NV_CoreaHUDDetect TrapsAdvanced Recon TechRustTownNVInteriors Core & Combo EditionEVE FNVdetailed blood mod by dDefinderImproved Sound FXNew Bison Steve HotelZan AutoPurge SmartAgro NVInterior Lighting Overhaul & many of its optionalsWeapon Mod MenuXRE - Cars!Ladder Restoration Project /w Watertowers optional And im also using that huge 7gb texture replacer, a weapon animation replacer and another one, but i had crashes without those too. No DLC's, i have been very carful to get addons without dlc requirements. Im using NMM 0.44.4 and NVSE... so... idk. Does anyone see anything that conflicts with eachother?
