  1. I've had a stable mod list of almost 400 mods for some time now, and I recently decided to add some more stuff. I was able to add a handful of mods, but at some point, any time I tried installing a mod with a plugin, the game would immediately CTD upon loading my save. I can install texture mods and the like just fine, but anything with a plugin instantly crashes. I run LOOT each time after installing a plugin so I don't think that should be the issue, and I'm aware of the 255 esp limit, but I have 284 active plugins and 46 of them are flagged as esl, so that shouldn't be the problem, right? I even uninstalled a mod that I've had for a few years (Skyrim is Windy) and reinstalled it, and that caused a CTD (removing it entirely makes the game work fine). Anyone have any ideas on what might be happening? I'm not sure how to debug this.
  2. The archery stands in my game were purple (missing texture), so I did some digging and found the mesh and corresponding texture for it. I saw that the mesh, archerytarget01.nif, was being replaced by Skyrim 2020, but when I tried looking for its textures, wrwoodbeam02.dds and wovenfence01cap.dss, I couldn't find them. Why is the mod replacing the mesh with one that the vanilla textures can't map to but not providing accompanying textures for it? If I disable that mod's mesh and allow SMIM to load its mesh, the vanilla textures for the archery stand get loaded in fine, but they look awful. I noticed there is a wrwoodbeam02.dds in Skyrim 2020's /architecture/whiterun folder, but it wasn't in the /clutter/common/ folder, which is where the archerytarget01.nif expects it to be. The other texture, wovenfence01cap.dds, is nowhere to be found, so I don't know what to do about that. Anyone know what's going on?
  3. Is it not starting at all? Or is it starting and then crashing? I had an issue where it wouldn't start at all, and there was a mod causing an issue. I fixed it by disabling my plugins one by one until the game finally started, and I was able to remove the mod causing issues.
  4. I've got a bunch of random textures throughout my game that aren't loading (appearing purple/white/brown), and I'm trying to figure out how to track down which mods are causing the issues. I found steps to find the mods here and here, but I'm having issues with some of the textures. For instance, the bordwalk planks and the post holding the sign in Dawnstar are missing the textures. If I look for the form ID of the sign post in SSEEdit, nothing comes up. I found the texture for the boardwalk, but I don't know what to do for objects that I can't find in SSEEdit. Furthermore, once I find the texture, I have no way of figuring out which mod is loading it in. I don't use MO2, so I can't take advantage of its Data tab which tells you which mod is loading which file. Is there a way to check this with Vortex?
  5. Was walking through the fields outside of Whiterun when I saw Alduin resurrecting a dragon. Watched the whole thing happen and then a saw a bright white glowing Vuljotnaak come out from the ground. During the day, he looks like some form of an ice dragon, but at night, he's nothing more than a bright white glow that blinds you. Never had an issue with any dragons before so I'm not sure what's causing this. Here are my dragon-related mods: - BellyAches HD Dragon Replacer 1.4 - Deadly Dragons SE - Diverse Dragons Collections SE - Rustic Dragon Corpse SSE I looked up this issue and some people said it was caused by RaceMenu, but that was when the player models or NPCs were glowing, not dragons, so I don't think that's my issue.
  6. You should probably try disabling any mod that modifies interiors and see if that fixes it.
  7. So this is a pretty goofy issue. The Jarl's Longhouse in Falkreath doesn't load the interior wall textures for some reason (image below). The only mods I can think of that affect this are Holds and Real 3D Walls. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks.
  8. I'm having an annoying issue where torches won't illuminate shadowed areas. Since those are the main places where I'd like to use a torch, it's incredibly frustrating to not have it work. I'm not sure exactly which mods I've got relate to this, and the only ones I can think of are ELFX and maybe Brighter Torches with Bigger Radius?   9. Has anyone had an issue where these weird, orange spheres will appear around light sources, specifically lanterns? I don't remember exactly when I started getting them, but I notice them a lot on the road-side lanterns from Lanterns of Skyrim, and around lanterns that are hanging from buildings. I looked at Lanterns of Skyrim's comments and didn't see anyone else with this problem, so I'm not really sure how to fix it. Some of the spheres are only there when the light is off in the distance, and they disappear as you get closer to the light, but other ones, especially in Markath, stay forever, and they look really bad.
