[Site redesign - sneak peek - part 1]

This looks awesome! Definitely seems like a huge step up from the current site. Everything seems very fluid and accessible. Kudos!! Absolutely LOVE the random feature!!!!

I can't imagine any PC users to use their modpage. This is ridiculous.... Bethesda... Why? Why do you not care about your PC players? DX

That is the single most obnoxious thing this site does and if another site had the content and didn't harass me for *more money*, then I'd leave immediately.

maybe you should get an idea what it takes by making a simple chair in a 3d prog and then try to uv it properly. i bet you gonna hate it. but these guys are at it for hours and all we do is simply clickedy click click click.

nvm trying to make a nice armor, which would include weight painting it and then having to fiddle around with the bones to look for any poke throughs.

truly its not a cookie cutter job.

So I've hit the limit of mods I can install. And I've been trying to learn how to merge mods. So I wondered if any of you guys can help me with what mods I can merge? Specifically I want to know if its possible to merge ETAC, cause it uses like 40 plugin spots. Thank you! My

I recently did a complete reinstall of the game. But now, certain mods, which I ran with before (so I don't think it's those mods), cause the game to CTD when the main menu comes up. some mods that I found doing this is "real shelter", "skyfalls + skymills", "wet + cold". I'm sure there's more to, just haven't gotten that far down the list. Again, I don't think it's the mods, cause I ran them all just fine before.

 

I tried, running the game as an admin, I tried deleting the mods (from game and nmm) and then re-downloading them.

 

Anyone had a similar experience? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm relatively new to skyrim modding (but not modding).

[SKSE broken]

I had a problem with skse, it wasn't the same as yours, it would just open the skyrim launcher for me. (and wouldn't run)

To fix it, I deleted all the skse files (including mods and the ones in your documents), then I installed the alpha version of skse. This made skse work normally again. But now certain mods (which I ran with before) cause the game to crash as soon as it goes to the main menu. Not sure if it's related or not, just giving you a heads up.

[HELP! How to do a clean re install.]

So I suspect that going free cam, while riding in a moving carriage, caused my water to permanently disappear. No matter what I tried, be it water replacement mods, going back to vanilla water, whatever, just didn't work. The only patch of water was in the dev test room, and there everything else was just messed up to the max. So I decided I should do a clean re-install of skyrim. Wen't into steam, deleted all local game content, etc... After it was done downloading, I tried to start it, and it did, and the water was even back. But, now comes the weird part... A few of my mods were still active. So I went into the folder. And saw that ALL my mod files were still there. Even though the majority were inactive in the game. So after spending all night, morning, and the afternoon; manually deleting the mod files, and re-installing the mods, carefully reading each install instructions to make sure I didn't mess anything up. I try to open skyrim via skse, and the first sign of trouble appeared... Skse kept opening the launcher instead of going directly into the game. At least most of the time. The few times it would work, or if I pressed play in the launcher, The game immediately shuts down and closes the moment it finishes the bethesda logo intro.

Anyway, I don't know if this has been covered or not. Like I said, I didn't sleep, and I'm very tired, and didn't bother to look through the forums. So if someone can tell me how to do a truly clean install of skyrim, or link me to a topic where this is covered, so I can look at it when I wake up, that'll be greatly appreciated. I'm guessing that instead of going through steam, you just delete the actual skyrim folder? That's at least what I was gonna try before I realized I haven't slept in over 24hrs.
