  1. Agreed...Let's say you download a weapon mod.

When its finished downloading and you can see what's in the archive, there should be a meshes folder (if new meshes are used), a textures folder (if there are new textures), a sound folder (if there is new sounds) and an ESP or ESM. Some mods have both an esm and an esp.

Then you drag n' drop those folders into the Data folder which is in your New Vegas Folder. :)

  2. Ok, this may be a noob question and I'm mad at myself for asking this. :\

In the F3 GECK I could hide all markers just by hitting M. In the NV GECK I've tried that and it only hides/shows furniture markers.

I opened up the show/hide window and tried checkin the light markers and others off and on, but nothing was happening.

I even changed the show/hide options saved my project then restarted the GECK but still no difference.

Am I overlooking something simple? Thanks in advance for the help.

  3. Bungie failed IMO. Halo 3 multiplayer was wayyyyyy better and Halo 2's campaign was wayyyyy better.

Fanboys think this is the greatest Halo just because it has better "graphics". Ridiculous.

The only plus was the coop Firefight.

The negative is the ban system if you quit. I don't quit, but betray people by accident sometimes. I've got banned for 15min 3 times for, seriously, completely accidental betrayals. It's easy to betray in games like Swat or Snipers, I hope they fix this idiotic new "feature".

  4. I've had this problem.

Not only do you have to have purified water checked, you have to check that this cell has water in it.

Go to Cell View in GECK, bottom left. Then select your cell the left box. Then check has water in the common data tab. Then choose purified water. :) I had this prob for awhile til I received help.

    Hope this works for ya!

  5. I'm glad I found this thread. I noticed that the Reflex sight I keep trying to put on a rifle is named NiTriShape instead of NiTriStrips.

I read somewhere else that they both don't go together well, but they didn't explain how to correct the issue.

Thanks to you I'm going to try the process of changing the name to NiTriStrips and see if it works, Thanks so much for pointing this out!

EDIT: I still get the GECK crash! :(

I select all the add-on parts of the mesh did stripify/triangulate/stripify and still crashes.

  6. I'm actually working on one right now :)

I played the game & finished it the same night I was so addicted.

I loved the cramped atmosphere of Exhibition & the Market.

    This game definitely inspired me.

  7. I just finished this game and I must say it was amazing! It inspired me to start working on a mod for F3 in one of the Metro stations.

I loved the cramped feel of Exhibition & the Market. That's how I imagine living underground would be...not in a vault.

The atmosphere is the best in any game I've played including Stalker. :)

I'm definitely gonna hang on to it and play it off and on.

Also, the ammo economy system is awesome. I was doing the spray & pray thing at the Library and f*cking ran out of ammo right in the middle of the Librarians fight. :wallbash:

  8. Ok everybody, it seems it's not my card but my PSU. I have a 700w Xion Supernova that came with the package.

My temps on the card when gaming get to about 60c to 70c, so I know it isn't my GTX 275.

After reading through a lot of forums, it seems to be the PSU as some on here have already said.

You think a 650w Corsair would do the job? It's only $90 with free shipping on Amazon :D

Paxan, I used EVGA Precision as the people on forums said it's easier to configure than Rivatuner.

So, my default fan speed was on 40! I raised that bad boy to 75 then eventually to 90%.

Everyone was saying the only problem in raising the speed is the noise, but it's not a problem for me.

So, with that fan speed I get around 46c for my GPU temp at idle.

  9. Solved!

Thanx to an outstanding member of Fallout 3 Underground, I figured it out.

GECK has a problem with texture sets concerning furniture markers.

So, in nifskope I directly chose my new texture via BSShaderTextureSet.

This also cut out the extra step of creating a new texture set for any new object I create in the GECK! Yes!

Hopefully this will be helpful for people with similar problems.
