  1. I need some help here. I know that I have to edit the mesh in NifSkope in order to make sure it shows up on a character when equipped. And I know the slot numbers have to match up with what I assign in the related ESP/ESM. So what happens when the required mesh does not have a BSDismemberSkinInstance node in NifSkope? Do you have to add one? If so, how?
  2. I've only see raised ghouls walk around without limbs. Usually, it's a missing arm or arms; I don't think I've seen missing legs. Still... an interesting concept.
  3. Hmmmm.... actually, this might not be a bad idea! You could have a script run to figure out if someone surrenders... if they do, the target goes friendly and stops fighting... maybe even sits down and begs for his/her life. Your companions will leave said individual alone at that point. Then you could talk to that surrendered individual. From there the options are almost infinite... Example: I surrender! I don't wanna die! A) Give me all your stuff! (You get their loot, they become friendly to you until the next cell reset... maybe they even become hostile to their own faction... "You weakling! You don't deserve to be a Raider!") B) I don't take prisoners. (For the ruthless, evil kids from Vault 101... -Karma, kill the poor slob, loot the corpse) C) Don't ever do it again. (Lets the prisoner go, +Karma) D) You are now my biatch/slave/personal mule. (Temporary companion a la SCC? Send the poor fool to Paradise Falls? Hmmmmm.....) Just brainstorming here... but I don't see how it isn't possible. Of course, this wouldn't really work for Super Mutants, animals, or feral ghouls, or anyone else with diminished faculties... most of them are too stupid or rely on pure instinct to fight.
  4. I'm gonna have to say "No" to this. Why? Three words: World of Warcraft. For those of you who don't know, World of Warcraft allows the players to make and dsitribute user interface mods in the LUA scripting language and XML. One particular website, [Blocked URL: Spamming mod authors with advertising links], offers a program that will allow you to download and keep your mods up to date. The only problem is that if you have a whole lot of users trying to update that one huge mod... The Nexus admins would have to charge money to defray the cost of bandwidth usage. [Blocked URL: Spamming mod authors with advertising links] does that as well to allow automatic mod updating. Without the payment, you can still download and update mods, but you have to update each individual mod on its own. So, when you suggest this, ask yourself one question: Am I willing to pay a nominal monthly fee to defray the cost of the mods I just downloaded?
  5. If you plan on using MMM and FOOK together, you have to load FOOK and MMM before you load any compatiblity patches like MMM-FOOK.esp. That should help.
