  1. I've had a chance to play with this on the laptop my daughter would play on. tcai is great, but needs to be reapplied each time the game is started. How hard would it be to make a mod that turned combat AI off by default?
  2. I'll give tfc a try, too. I suspect that walking around, climbing mountains (as opposed to flying up them) is going to be more fun for my daughter, but you never know.
  3. Turning off the combat AI goes a long way to creating the sort of experience I'm looking for. A little training could handle the "Don't press E when a character is in front of you" issue, along with the "Don't attack" issue. I'll play around with that, and see how it works. Thanks!
  4. This request is not targeted at the normal audience for the game, but for those of us with younger children. I'd love to be able to sit my six year old daughter down in front of Skyrim, and say, "Have fun exploring!" As it is, though, she's too young for a hack and slash game, and doesn't have the reading level to understand dialogue choices. But kids that age love wandering around virtual worlds and exploring. Tourist Mode would ideally have: 1) No combat. Nothing attacks, and the PC can't attack 2) Basic NPC responses, no dialogue choices 3) Full environmental interaction (pulling levers, getting hurt by traps, etc) That would let younger ones interact with the game in a way that would be fun for them, without having to worry about the parts they're not ready for yet. I have no idea how difficult something like this would be, but it'd be pretty great for gaming Dads.
