When you play multiplayer you are treated as two seperate parties the majority of the time, so often companions won't make comments on situations or other companion conversations since they're in a seperate party. It would be great if we could combine the party so it behaved more like it did in single player.

As things stand now, only one player in a multiplayer game can realistically experience the whole storyline of a companion, as when they handle a cutscene outside of talking to a companion and make a choice that results in approval only they get the approval from the companion. This has led me and my co-op partner into choosing our companions as ours and ours alone, so we never have say, shadowheart and wyll in the same party because they're both "my"companions, so I don't get to see them interact. I'd like to be able to swap companions between both of us, so we can both have our own relationships with each companions, so a mod that allowed both playable characters to get approval in cutscenes so they can further their relationships and story with a companion would be fantastic. This would obviously need to be balanced in a way so when you're talking with a companion they won't get approval both times each player chooses decisions since this would double the approval you would get since the dialogue when talking to the companion is repeated for each character, so I'm not sure how doable this is, but this would be a game changer! I'd really appreciate any modder looking into this, as this would open a lot of potential interactions with our party members together since we can change them between us.

So a friend and I started playing today, and we got to the end of character creation, and my game crashed. We loaded it back up pretty fast and made our characters again, but in the rush to get through it and back to the game, he accidentally forgot to change his background to the one he wanted. We're now a a good 6 or so hours into the game. Is there any mod or cheat through cheat engine or something to change a custom character's background so he can get the one he picked originally? He wants to be able to make choices that align with his background so he gets inspiration, and wants any dialogue options that would come from that background since we are kinda pseudo RPing. Any help would be very appreciated!

Hi everyone, I have every mod on Bevex's modlist installed, on a somewhat high end computer (RX 580, intel core i5 4590) and I'm getting FPS in the low 20's or even 15 in some cases. I installed some of the 2k options in the modlist instead of the 1k options, but I'm not sure if that's the cause or not, I can go back and install 1k options, but I'm worried that will mess with the mod install order, so I'm not really keen on doing that. I've tried some fixes listed in the post https://www.reddit.com/r/oblivionmods/comments/7nf3po/help_low_fps_with_bevilex_modlist/ but so far none of them have helped. Does anyone have any suggestions to increase the FPS to something more playable? What I'm using to test this is the tutorial, when the two blades run off to protect the emperor right before he dies, I get about 20 fps there when the other enemies appear. In general though, I get low fps in other places too. I've got every mod in Bevex's modlist installed, and here is my load order Active Mod Files: Any help would be appreciated!

Oblivion CTD on new game or load

Update: I found the issue! I had the 7.0 of oblivion reloaded installed, and for some reason, installing 6.5 instead fixed it! What's strange is uninstalling 7.0 didn't fix the issue, but installing 6.5 over it did/ -
Hi everyone, So I was having a CTD issue with oblivion a while ago and I'm not sure what caused it, I made a previous post, but was not able to figure out the cause, so I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and started over modding from scratch using this mod guide https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/47591?tab=description. I was testing every couple mods I installed, and everything was going great, until I accidentally disabled unofficial oblivion patch in my load order, which deactivated all of the plugins involving it. I thought that wouldn't be a big issue, considiering I could just reactive them, but no, now I am getting a CTD no matter what I try and do, where before I had almost every mod installed on that mod guide, and was doing just fine. In order to try and figure out if something else was causing issues I tried to uninstall mods in the reverse order I installed them, but no matter how many I uninstall, or how many times I run LOOT, or how many times I rebuild the bashed patch, nothing seems to fix it. I even tried unchecking every mod in my load order besides the vanilla and DLC esps and esms, but even then, crash on new game or load. I am so frustrated at this point, because I don't know what I did wrong or how to even try to fix it, it seems at this point I need to start over from the beginning to try and fix this, but I don't know if it's just going to go wrong again, and I'm about ready to give up. If anyone could help or give any suggestions I would be eternally grateful. On that modlist I have everything installed up to Darooz Upperclass Clutter. Okay, so lock load order was off. So that doesn't appear to be an issue. Everything is set up correctly in the ini at the moment for darnified ui, since the text is appearing just fine. Edit: Not sure if this is significant or not, but when I open data files in the oblivion launcher it seems to be organized alphabetically and not by load order. Not sure if that's significant or not.

I have been running loot from desktop, but I don't see the option to turn off lock load order. Not sure how I would check if I could set LOOT iike BOSS's user rules either. Strangely enough, looking back to my last sucessful save game, I didn't have that missing master from before either, so I'm not sure why I was able to run the game before, or what's keeping me from running it now. I know if I delete the oblviion.ini in documents, the game loads, but basically gives me a garbled looking character creation screen when I hit new game, so I'm not sure what that's about, but it changes all my font and stuff too, so there are some edits that I need to keep from there, but I'm not sure why deleting it actually allows me to load the game, or if there is any connection.

I did sort with loot and then rebuild the patch. Is there anything else I can do to remedy that issue? Though I don't think solving that would solve my game crashing issue, since it was doing that before that issue popped up. Update: Moving one of the files above the other fixed that issue, but as I thought, it still crashes on new game. Which looks like this when it does crash: https://imgur.com/SrtMGCK

So I downloaded bookplacing.esm(the missing master) and put it in my data folder. Still crashes though. I have BP deactivated though, and nothing popped up when I ran LOOT. Would that affect a new game as well though? Because I’m getting crashes when it’s loading a new game too. I’ll do what you said when I get home, but can type see my load order from the pictures I included? I’m not sure if I did it right.

Hello, I modded my oblivion a while ago and I went back to try and play it recently, and I realized it will no longer launch. I've tried updating OBSE, and rebuilding the bashed patch, using LOOT, all of that kinds of stuff. It's crashing on any loading screen, either new game or load. I've checked my load orders are the same ones on my save, and tried LOOT. When I delete the oblivion.ini file, the game loads, but then has weird font that doesn't look right, and I can't click on anything, and sometimes the game crashes after that. Yeah, I knew that. But my issue with type3m is with the shape in general, not just the without clothes. So it doesn't make much sense to use the clothes if it puts it in that shape regardless.
