Archery is a bit weird. You're probably better continuing to shoot even at close range, rather than change weapons. Don't forget you can bash with your bow. That'll back off most enemies enough for another shot. I found that there are a few mods I simply won't play without. SkyUI is obvious. Improved Container Names is one I have to have. It changes the thousand identical 'Barrels' into Barrels of Reagents/Produce/etc. So you know what you're opening before you click on it. Very handy. I also have to have a mod to replace the Brotherhood default armor, because I really hate it. Also, Static Mesh Improvement Mod has become a necessity. I just don't play without it.

Figured it out. My problem was with Sneak Tools. System just stopped liking it. No particular reason.

I've always had issues using BOSS and things like it. And what I meant by no crash log is that normally a program dies and Microsoft informs me the program has stopped working and asks if I want to send a message about it. And I don't get one of those. I'll try cleaning the files with TES5Edit. Curiously, I can get arrested in Dawnstar, Morthal and Falkreath, but not Whiterun, Solitude or any city with a proper jail. Also, thanks for the help. Edit: Cleaning didn't help, so I'll try LOOT. Hope that has an idea.

I'm having a weird issue with my Skyrim installation. I'm getting persistent and repeatable CTD's in three situations. 1) After talking to Skjor and becoming a werewolf, I'm sent properly to Vanilla Whiterun, (running Open Cities), and everything is fine until the timer runs out. Then the loading screen pops, and the instant it's finished, the game crashes to the desktop. No Crash Log. 2) When talking to Delphine after retrieving the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller, after she tells me to give her a minute to change into her traveling clothes, the instant her sentence is finished, the game CTD's. Again, No Crash Log. 3) If I have any kind of Bounty with the Whiterun guards, the instant I select an option, either take me to jail or pay the fine, the game CTD's. Once again, No Crash Log. I've attached my Modlist, and I use neither BOSS, nor LOOT. I can attach a Papyrus Log if necessary, but I'm not seeing anything in those that could be a cause. This is more than a little frustrating and I'm hoping someone is able to help.

I'll be honest, I'd love to help with NMM, but I'm as a coder I'm completely useless. And for a beta, this is probably the most stable beta I've ever used.

Probably needs a new NMM handler, since it uses the main site as a reference to download mods from the download servers. It was DDOSing the system when you introduced threaded downloads, so it might be causing usage spikes.

Though I notice one minor flaw in the plan of not letting older NMM versions reach the servers. That means they will not automatically check for an update...

I like the idea of a Favorite games list. I don't play more than a few of the supported games, so going through that list was getting to be a pain. Thanks a bunch Dark0ne.

I do, because it adds an extra layer of strategic depth to the game. As much for the weight of ammo as the food, water, sleep requirements.

I browse with my browsers running in Sandboxie, which acts as a small virtual console, keeping any viruses contained there, and they get destroyed when it closes and erases.

Yeah, that's from convenient horses. Keep choosing it for different people and it'll give you an alternate method to call your horse. It works places other than Riften as well.

Change the base value in the CK for the Giant Creature.

I like the idea of one central mod site for those games that don't have a huge community, or that have one that doesn't have a central hub. I'd love to see one specifically for Indie games and the mods that go with them.

I love that I now know what the latest version of NMM is.

If authors could be encouraged to name their readmes something other than readme.txt, It would be much appreciated by mod users. Something like 'Name of Mod'-readme.txt is enough. I keep seeing overwrite comments for files touching two completely separate things, then seeing that it's asking to overwrite readme.txt for the eighth time.

According to the UESP wiki, the Grotto only resets after one month if you kill Sinding. Apparently it's impossible to get the Oathblade if you don't kill Sinding unless you get it first.

Try enabling papyrus logging. If you have crashes related to fxDustDrop script, there's a fix here on the forums that makes it stop so it quits hogging memory.

Meridia's. That's the quest. After all, the undead monsters in Bleak Falls are what killed Sven right? So when Meridia asks her to go in and pound the undead to dust, she should be all for it. Alternately, try Blood on the Ice. It's a more mental quest, than a physical one, but it should disgust her enough to hate necromancers. Perhaps she wants to write a ballad in Sven's honor, so she heads to Solitude and gets caught up with the Bards.

Try loading them into the CK and saving them. They might need updating to the latest version.

Awesome. The only other thing I could want would be the ability to hold updates except to selected users for beta purposes.

I'm not sure that's impossible, because I know there was a mod like this for Oblivion, but I recall that it required more than a bit of work and involved replacing all the surfaces which couldn't be climbed with ones that could.

Wow. That's quite the plan. One minor math issue. If you have the 250kb boost from the site skins, you're still at 1MB with the ads turned off. That's sort of a self-defeating prophecy for an incentive to turn the ads on. Also, Is the endorsement across all the nexus sites? So if I download one mod on Obilivion, Fallout 3, New Vegas and Skyrim and only endorse three, does that count as 75%?
