I've been trying to get New Vegas running for a few months now. Every time I launch the game, I crash to desktop either in the legalese (copyrights) screen, or in the screen immediately following it. I never get to the main menu, and have never gotten into the actual game. I have tried a huge number of workarounds, including advice on this forum, but nothing ever works. There is no meaningful message on my crash, just a message that Fallout New Vegas has stopped working. I am really at my wit's end here. If it will help, I can post a DXdiag, but otherwise, my specs are: CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 925 (2.8GHz) GPU: nVidia GeForce 9800 GT RAM: 4 GB Sound: Generic on-board (Realtek, probably) OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
