I just can't picture actually running around in fallout universe pre-war (other than in a simulation). I would expect it to at least be very limited gameplay wise. I agree that the prologue idea is a good possibility.

Anyone notice any landmarks? There is a bronze civil war looking monument that I don't recognize and also a sign that says "GNN" Maybe Galaxy News Network?

Well the dog appears to be dogmeat, and I would guess the pre-war stuff is just something for the trailer not a part of the game. Anyway looks like they are definitely sticking more with the Fallout 3 atmosphere but maybe with more densely populated areas? Looks amazing. Can't wait! Was it said somewhere that this is +200 years after fallout 3? EDIT: Nvm I see what you were saying.
