I loved this place, if you want more interiors, search "partone" theres a pretty good dungeon someone did adding a nuka plant, files name is AFNV partone. Something along those lines. Also, Cottonwood interiors, bouldercity facelift, westside interiors, most of these are plenty endorsed, these arent for adding to the list (except the nuka plant didnt get any attention) ' http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35270 http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35171 http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/44418 http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/37184 http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34933 these are some lore friendly addons i use almost every playthrough Brilliant, I'll check these out. Many thanks!

They're never going to learn, are they?

I think I need to plug my mod. It's been up for months but only gotten 4500 views! I guess I should have hyped it more. It's lore-friendly and meant to fit with the rest of the game, so download it, plug it in, forget it's there, and find it while wandering. http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/44559 Are there any other mods out there like this? Lore friendly, that extend the game? I've been using NV interiors, which is great.

FNV will not die! It remains one of the single best post apocalyptic simulators out there. With hardcore mode on, and the right mods, it becomes completely engrossing... it sucks you into the world like nothing else I've played.

I've somehow found the time, in between extremely intensive work here at college, to finish and release this puppy. I'm extremely excited to finally be able to release a mod; click here to download and let me know if you like it! Thanks to everyone who gave support and tips in this thread; if it wasn't for you I'd probably have taken another 6 months!

No, it hasn't been abandoned. Work continues. Unfortunately, the scope keeps increasing and the time I have to spend on it keeps decreasing, and now that I'm running RFCW, it's making beta-testing a bear. But it's nearly done. I have been toying with the idea of putting up a limited beta, with cut-back features, just to get something posted. The main problem is that it's sort of a one-time thing-- once you've been there, and seen everything, it makes going back essentially pointless. I haven't figured out how to respawning enemies yet either. I'll try and post some more screenies soon as a consolation prize. Sorry!

Cool story bro, I on the other hand am going to try and hear him out. I'm not trying to ruin the legitimacy of anyones gaming style but I go into a room and ask questions first then shoot. So do I. On the first few playthroughs :-)

I don't foresee there being human enemies, although mutated pseudo-humans who can survive in the divide would be awesome. IMO the ghost people were the best thing about Dead Money-- they were well designed, creepy, and required new strategies to deal with. Hopefully something like that. I'd love to see a new pressure suit or hazard suit. The T-17 Trauma Harnesses were creepy as hell, I'd love to see something like that. But we'll see what Obsidian can throw at us. As long as it's not Fiends (boring) or radscorpions (!%#!@) or cazadores (!@%^!%^@!%!) or F***ING NIGHT STALKERS I will be happy. Although considering the perks they threw our way in OWB it may very well end up being those last two. I'd love to see some new enemies, something truly evocative and creepy. Obsidian, if you're watching, give us something like this! If the Old World is still alive, it's going to be pretty messed up. Let us hear those screams. Let us see those lost souls. Give us enemies that will keep us up for hours after we go to bed, just thinking about the possibilities. Hundreds of millions of people died in a single day-- show us their pain. As for weapons, I think you're on the mark. Some more WWII-inspired weapons would not out of place. The M1A1 Carbine or some sort of new small-caliber, high capacity semi-auto rifle would be nice. How about a high-caliber, bolt action rifle with a mag? Like a lighter version of the anti-material rifle with a scope, a lower weight and strength requirement, and a more readily available round. Some new, more realistic-style armor would be nice. How about a flak jacket and helmet? How about a leather jacket over a kevlar vest, with jeans or something. Like the Desert Ranger Combat Armor except with less of a sci-fi feel and a jacket instead of a duster? I dunno. Surprise us. New power armor is always appreciated but evidently they're not allowed to make any new power armor (on Jason's twitter I think). I'm betting that Bethesda is going to drop FO4 next year and the BoS, or some other power-armor-wearing faction is going to be a big part of it, so they're saving up their assets for that. Anyway, enough speculation for now. All I know is that I hope it drops soon!

Well Dead Money was... alright. I wouldn't go so far as to say that I wasted my money, but it could've been a LOT better. It had some genuinely creepy moments for me though that were missing from the other DLC. And seeing as it was Obsidian's first, I'm inclined to let them off the hook. But I do recall seeing that we will be able to return to the divide after Lonesome Road. Yeah, turns out that we can. Sauce Speaking of which, I know it's a bit much to ask, but I would love if there were a couple bonus quests thrown in after the completion of the main quest, even simple item collection or kill X enemies quests, to make OWB and HH a little less lonely after we go back to them... For instance, at the end of OWB, if P.S. what type of loot do you think we'll get in the Divide? HH had a very WWII, American Classics-theme going on with its guns, OWB had sci-fi b-movie rayguns, DM had... well no more talking about DM. What do you think the "theme" for Lonesome Road will be? I would love if they went for a more survivalist-style armory, and less of a Sci Fi one...

Old World Blues - The Sink
ccronin replied to someguynamedjoe's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Spoilers
It's pretty nice as a base, save for one crucial flaw-- the Sink Central Intelligence Unit never restocks. As ammo is bloody hard to come by in the first place, I had to make a lot of the ammo myself, which is bloody obnoxious, and I also ran out more than a couple times, meaning my stealth/guns build had to use energy weapons. Come on now. I know that HH was totally guns-focused, and OWB is more on the energy weapons side, but couldn't they have left a few clips lying around for my shiny new 1911? -
Well, I will say that Ulysses is turning into the Burned Man-- a character who has a towering presence, who is already fascinating even though we haven't met him yet. I just hope that, unlike Joshua Graham, Obsidian are able to match Ulysses's image with a real flesh-and-blood character. It is clear that meeting Ulysses is the end of the saga-- I was hoping for a fifth DLC but that doesn't seem likely, unless it's completely disconnected from this overarching plotline, and it would have to come out before November when the SkyrimPocalypse happens. Having the DLC's intersect like this was a great idea, and I look forward to the final battle. But I also know that it's very unlikely that it can measure up to my expectations. Still, on to the Lonesome Road. I think that all of these disparate elements-- the Old World still alive, the question of which side is really good, whether some things about the Old World should be resurrected or left buried-- will come together. If Chris Avellone writes it, it stands a very good chance of being excellent, if not quite up to my (towering) expectations. This is even more important because of its linear nature-- it can't lean on exploration of many little plotlines, like OWB or HH did to great success. It's all about one plotline-- or the conclusion of one-- so let's hope that the New Vegas DLC saga gets the ending it so readily deserves. And on a side note, can I just say that Veronica Belmont is terrible as Christine? She has not one hint of the steel will and determination that the character showed in Dead Money. The script was good but the delivery was horrible. I'm not saying that Belmont is a bad voice actor, she was fine in comedic roles, it's just that she's totally miscast playing a po-faced, serious role like Christine. Ok, no more rambling. Hopefully you can get a sense of what I'm trying to say. Back to homework...

Old World is already out on steam.
ccronin replied to kelticpete's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
I can confirm that, for me at least, it runs great, and is so far quite excellent. I will say though that Guns really get the shaft in favor of Energy and Melee Weapons. -
Thanks for the support! To answer your questions: 1. My summer is about to get very busy (sigh) and I don't want to nail down a release date just yet but given how much I have finished, I'd be very surprised if the beta is delayed beyond July. 2. I've had a couple requests for respawning enemies and I don't see a reason why not. The bosses (yes, there are more than one, and yes, Doc Socket is still "alive" and, well, he's mad) will not respawn for lore purposes. I may eventually try and code in a simple trigger which will replace the bosses with vanilla enemies after they are dead but I'm not sure how to do this at the moment. I've had to learn all of this from scratch so my expertise is limited to the excellent GECK wiki and whatever tips I am given by the fine Nexus community. I'm playing through Oblivion right now and I have to say that the respawning aspect of that game's dungeons, along with respawning, leveled loot, is a great feature and it really does add a lot to the game. Finally, here's an updated teaser pic for all the folks at home:

This looks great! I had the same idea a while back but I lack your dedication on seeing it through. The Fallout engine is perfect for Star Trek! Any plans for taking us to space? Maybe even a TC zone? With ONLY Star Trek equipment and quests?

i dunno, maybe i'm speaking out of turn here, but i for one think compilations can be really useful and time-saving if they're done right. the last bit being crucial, of course.
