  1. Actually, there are. Unfortunately, not the wide variety available to those who installed the game from a store bought disc as opposed to through the Steam network. I've attached a picture of the in-game menu. It also seems that it may be possible to use Nexus mods with the Steam version despite not having all local game files. I am researching this now.http://i.imgur.com/u6JwO00.jpg
  2. Greetings! VERY late to the Fallout 4 party, but now that I have a new blazing fast PC that defaults to Ultra High in-game resolution, I'm ready to start modding the bejeesus out of this game. I think I had a page and a half list of mods for Fallout 3, and the wealth of available mods is what made possible so many additional play-throughs of that game. I have been on these forums for at least a year or more, so I don't know how much has changed. I never played New Vegas because I also did not have a machine that could run it. That might change, but I really only have time for one game, really. Anyway, I've only been playing FO4 for about three weeks. I've rescued and joined the Minutemen, and am roaming around the general vicinity. I'm still getting used to the enhanced branching in the game menus, but I do appreciate that they're similar enough for me to figure out most everything. The reason for this post: I want to get started modding ASAP. In particular, I want the mod that allows you to carry an unlimited supply of items. I really don't want to play without it, as I despise backtracking, and this game makes it pretty clear that MANY more items in the game are useful for crafting and not just caps. So, I am asking for your help with three things: 1. A link to a page on this site describing the basics for a newbie in adding mods to FO4 on Steam. 2. A link to the mod that will remove/negate the weight limit. 3. Links to your favorite mods according to the tags listed above. I LOVER Mart's Mutant Mod for FO3, as it really made the landscape feel more populated and alive. Also very interested in: Additional locations Additional Items Additional textures for existing items Additional creatures Additional weather Additional sky textures (there was one in FO3 that added a giant planet with rings like Saturn. I LOVED that one! Thanks very much!
  3. OMG, a reply to a thread that's almost two years old! Still, it doesn't diminish my gratitude for finding the solution to my problem. I don't know why it suddenly occurred, as I hadn't made any changes to my system. Perhaps it was an update that I wasn't aware of, but thanks so much! No I can hear myself lockpicking and creeping and all the other wonderful ambients!
  4. I know the difference between a red and blue target, and that's the problem. I've been on Mothership Zeta for a few days, and every single Guardian Drone and ceiling turret is red. They never change to blue. Would you know which rebalanced mod might provide a fix? I don't mind doing the research, just point me in a hopeful direction! Thanks! Dave
  5. Greetings! I suspect I may need to update some of my many mods! I haven't played the game for probably over a year, and it's been even longer since I downloaded and installed the mods you'll see in my Load Order. I had posted here recently about repeated CTD issues, which were mostly fixed after deactivating some redundant mods (thanks to M48A5 and Purr4me). I haven't been able to fully research which ones it is safe to remove completely, but I did discover that with Fellout - Zeta.esp, the game crash every time I approached the crash site. Ironic, eh? Anyways, I noticed that destroying the turret guns and Guardian drones was giving me negative karma, and I've suddenly gone from Paragon to Evil Incarnate! Which mods should I start looking at to resolve this? Thanks very much! BTW, I have FOMM, but have not used FO3edit. 9. Greetings, all! Playing this game again after a long break. After completing Operation Anchorage to get the CSS, I opened the Armory to discover a missing texture: I think it's Jingwei's Shock Sword. I haven't made any changes or adjustments to my mods in a LONG time. How do I fix this? Dave
  10. Incorrect. See bellow http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3574938/fomm-0.13.21-fixed.zip This IS correct, Fomm is not a download manager "ANYMORE", it used to be or was going to be but Fomm has so many neat tools inside it, all rolled into 1 app, it is worth My while to support it. To be absolotly clear, Fomm is upgradable. The help button at it's top, click it, have it check for it's own updates, wait, mouse over the tabs when it finises, select sort, if it crashes, click the link here I provide to you and extract the data, copy it over top of your fomm installation, and repeat. now it will not crash any more and you can..I repeat, you can update the Boss template for Fomm. [X] Fallout Remastered 1.0.esp[X] Fallout Remastered - Mart's Mutants Mod.esp [X] Fallout Remastered - Fellout.esp [X] Fallout Remastered - Xepha's Darkened Interiors.esp [X] Fallout Remastered - Xepha's Dynamic Weather.esp all of these go under the pile....at the bottom.kitty. I adjusted my Load Order per your advice and successfully updated FOMM. Thanks very much for the link! I dl'd and installed Large Address Aware Enabler and somehow that seems to have fixed the problem. I was able to load my most recent save! Woohoo! Dave
  11. Looks like I have some work ahead of me! I moved RezDCSubway to the bottom of the list. Should I move all the Fallout Remastered mods to the bottom of the list, or just 1.0? I found the directions for modifying the Fallout.ini file I found here: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-1214935.html, and the game launched without a problem. However, after I made my way to Rivet City and tried to save, I got another CTD. I noticed that I have 463 saves, should I delete some? I only need the last dozen or so. I haven't used FO3edit before. Should I use the latest experimental version? UPDATE: I tried loading several saves, one from the very beginning of this character and was succesfull in saving all of them. I was also able to load and save the game from the Weapons Vault in the Outcast Outpost after completing Anchorage. It seems that one of saves after this became corrupted somehow. Should I try to load and save all the saves after this point to see which one is bad, or delete them and start over? I wouldn't be losing much, as the only thing I'd need to repeat is placing the Observer in the Mirelurk clutch. Thanks for your help once again, and sorry about the absurdly long post! I didn't know the last part would be so HUGE! Dave
  12. Hello, all! It's been awhile since I played this game, but I have played it extensively on my current system before with no problems and have made no alterations to the game of any kind. It actually took me a little time to find FOMM because I was happy with my current setup. Here's what happened recently: I started playing from my last save game, and decided to finish Operation Anchorage to get the Chinese Stealth Suit. Everything was fine. Upon completing the simulation and entering the weapons vault, there was one of those giant read and white triangles to indicate a missing texture/skin. It appeared to be on the bottom left shelf behind the Power Suit as you walk in. I don't remember what is supposed to be there. Since I didn't need the item, I did not track down the error and rectify it. Upon heading back to Megaton and then making my towards Rivet City, the CTD on save issue began. I discovered Rivet City and Anacostia Crossing. Then I decided to enter Anancostia Crossing and explore. CTD upon clicking the entrance. After making my back from my last save, I tried to save by the ramp to Rivet City. CTD. I repeated this several times with the same result. Then I tried Fast Traveling to Dukhov's Place and tried to save there. CTD. Seems like there are a lot of pontential culprits, but I'm not sure where to start. I'm damned if I can guess the problem as I haven't altered any of the game or FOMM settings for a very long time. After I launched FOMM and attempted to update, I received an error message. 13. Hey, gang! After taking the Explorer perk and making my way towards one of my favorite air strike scenarios, I encountered a potential bug in of the new DC Interior of the Last Gasp Funeral Home in the Basement. It occurred in the SE corner near and inside the room with the pile of coffins beyond the open door, the four shambly shelves to the right and the three filing cabinets and desk. I couldn't discover anything in particular that seemed to set off the CTD, but the three times it occurred was in this area. I just updated MMM, Dynamic Weather and Fallout-Remastered. Don't know if there's anything else in my Load Order that's out of date? If anyone spies a mod that should be updated, I'd deeply appreciate knowing! 14. Hehe. You're welcome. Though I think you actually took a kudos away now. I noticed that when it happened, but I didn't have time to troubleshoot the error because it happened right before we had to leave for a little road trip! I fixed it now, and I'm going to try adding another cause you're awesome! Good luck in your karma debugging! Dave S.
  15. I thought I had that with the Main + DLC Merged.esp? Scratch that. Now I'm REALLY confused!! I don't know where that file came from! I just DL'd the plugin again and that file is nowhere to be found! Guess I'll delete all the ones I have and do a fresh install. SUCCESS!! Oh, sweet victory! Have all plugin including optionals installed and the game starts as smooth as a baby's backside! WHEEEEEEEEEEEE! Now to see if the hostile status of robots and sentry guns will give me bad karma when they are destroyed. Testing will have to wait, as it's a beautiful day and we're going to head for the hills! THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN BlackRamage! Your patient and kindly assistance is most appreciated! Kudos coming your way! Dave S.
