I too, am having this problem. Been doing full manual installs to get anything actually done.

Not trying to be a jerk, but I'm just asking. Did you get the mod you linked, install it, and actually activate it? Also, from the creator himself (if you click on the posts tab on this mod) {SPOILER} In Goodsprings, there is a room hidden in the back-right of the Prospector Saloon, inside, you'll find a poorly maintained rifle and some ammo for it. The door is locked, however, and will cost you a little bit of karma. Enjoy!

I still play FO2 to this day lol, and Tactics, cuz c'mon, prone snipers are fun. But that's why I like to get 'That Gun' and keep it loaded with AP ammo at all times. It's my legion killer extraordinaire.

1083, but I did have some offline mode play too due to auto updating issues and for a while there (cpl years back?) you would almost routinely have to wait until new NVSE or the mods you liked got updated to be compatible with the latest steam update. So yeah... I'm with you man... I come back to new vegas or skyrim constantly, tend to find myself leaning toward NV more tho. City of Heroes hmm? What server? And.... did you have all 36 char slots all with lvl 54+'s (50 was cap but remember that toward the end there you could get the super enhancements that boosted your 'effective' level) I can't for the life of me remember what they were called tho. Things like Hybrid, Alpha... anyway, I played CoX (coh or cov) from launch of CoH until they shut us down (I was the Brute holding a Protest sign while it ticked down to end) Man I miss that game. Met my wife through it though :D

Vats... Silenced .22 Pistol (or any silenced pistol once you get the mod for pistol in question), or skip vats if you're a handy shot, but usually sneak up, Vats, Headshot, find next target, repeat. I love pistols, and the 5.56 pistol can be beefy hurtdowns with the right ammo (head shot Legion Assassins with AP ammo and watch that Centurion go down in 2 shots) That being said, I'm sneaky/crit focused. And basically if it's not silenced I don't carry it, EXCEPT for when it hits the fan and it's time to lay down the law with a shotgun. All comes down to playstyle and build.

Well, seeing as how I was looking for a mod so I could let my guy keep choppin wood whenever I went out for a smoke, I'd say there's some demand here. And get yer knickers unknotted over what is and isn't a cheat, they had to come up with an arbitrary number of animations (like 3) because if they made it dedicated 10 minutes of woodcutting no matter what, no one would do it. So yeah, high horse and snooty snit snit aside, is there a friggen mod for this or not? Sheesh.

Thanks for the help guys! I ended up using the exploding head bug fix mod, seems to be fine for me so far :) Figure all i should really have to turn it off for is Boone in Novac, only other thing i know of is don't blow the heads off the fiends for the bounty hunter mission you get from that one dude... camp mccarran i think, not sure.

I just can't seem to get the weather to work. I've even set the settings to make everything happen frequently for both rain and radstorms and still no weather at all. A previous version worked perfect, sandstorms and all, but now.... nothing. I'm using the most recent version

Ok, so the only post i found about this was some dummy that had a pirated copy I DO NOT HAVE ONE I have the disc version, can show it with links if you like, so here goes: OS: Win7 Enterprise FNV: Disc copy (still upset it makes you use steam but oh well) Mods: A lot. lol. but the problem is persistent on a new playthrough using no mods except caravan pre order pack. Symptoms: My head just randomly explodes for no reason. HALP! :)

Thanks everyone! The Fallout Mod Manager definitely made it a lot easier lol, even so I think i went a lil nuts because i had to go through and find the ones that were making me CTD. Have any of you used the FOOK stuff? I'm hesitant to do such a major change, but hey, that's why you can always wipe and reinstall :) Again, thanks!

oh, so for the most part i can patch back up to 1.6 with the DLC's i have and I should mostly be in the clear? And then just go through and see what requires FOSE and make the hard decisions. Thanks! Followup question, i'm used to winrar, how the hell does this 7zip thing work?

Ok, i looked at like FOSE and stuff cuz one guy's screenies showed like a bajillion mods at once, so now i KNOW i have to get over my paranoia on the "accept overwrite" thing, cuz for some reason i'm convinced i can only run one texture thing at a time, and when i look at the filenames it seems like anytime i drop something into the folders (i'm speaking meshes/textures here) aren't i undoing all that i just put in in the first place? or does it just keep adding to the file and they truly aren't overwriting each other except in specfic instances (like the body replacers)? sorry, like i said, been reading this for 3 days straight and everything is in a blender on frape in my mind now

Hey everyone, first of all i gotta get something out of the way *kneels and places his hat at the feet of all the wonderful modders out there* Ok, that's done, cuz Really.. hat's off to you guys n gals, the mods ya'll make are astounding. I have a few questions, and appreciate your patience 1. I have uninstalled EVERYthing and have a plain vanilla no patch install of FO3 going right now, no char made etc. v1.0, I have 3 of the DLC's and i'll be getting Point Lookout soon, but the reason I uninstalled everything is because I've literally paged through 390 pages in the files section and a lot of the cooler mods I"m looking at seem to either want fake patches, no v1.5 patch etc. so (looks back) ahh.. without further adieu, which patch is the most recommended? I was using 1.6 and only had a few mods running and I didn't notice any problems. Can I just go ahead and install everything again and try it out? Or is the fact that i've downloaded 2.74gb of mods mean I have to go through and take a harder look and make sure I only go to v1.4 or what's the deal on the fake patches? I've read them but the readme's are either contradictory or they allude to understandings from previous conversations that i can't find the origination of so I'm still kinda stuck wondering what I should do. Sysinfo: running windows 7 (yes, you really should take a look at this lol) i installed in a new path straight on the C: drive calld "Install FO3 Here" lol so its not in program files which i saw caused problems (i'm assuming since win7 is 64bit the same problems from vista could be expected so to play it safe i've been following the vista recommended ways of doing things just to avoid any problems) Ideal: I'd like to run the Mutant Mod, either type3 dimonized or babe (this one is a tough choice because there's just so many good options either way) I'm not too picky about hair mods but i grabbed some of them and that's where i noticed there might be a lot of conflicts depending on which mod I"m using. I prefer only texture modding weapons (don't get much into the godstuff) and alllllll these new locations/quests/homes etc are just amazing, I want to try them all lol. (oh and kudos to those that have put together mod order pages, cuz i've saved them lol that's helped a lot) So, the reason I've started this is because i've literally been glued to this site for the past 3 days and my eyes have melted out of my skull and i'm suffering information overload. If someone could please either parse it down to something I can understand, or direct me to the pages i should be reading, I'd be eternally grateful. I'm just lost in all the links now and figured 3 days of reading warrants one flare/call for help. Again, to all the modders out there, you guys rock! Thanks!
