When I installed the original copy I had purchased from Walmart I did not have steam on my PC, It simply installed and I started playing. Beyond that, I have no looked into it any further. Now the Legendary Edition I bought from gamestop may have been piggybacking off the residual files from the steam version I had downloaded. However I have not done any further research into the matter since it seems the steam copy is the only one supported. I have redownloaded the copy I bought from steam, it is installed as well as a fresh download of NMM. I unfortunately had several mods that are no longer on the nexus or private so I am slightly disappointed there, But I tested vanilla and it runs as expected, re installed mods and of course, the meshes and textures are not working again.

Being that I keep being told support is for the steam version only, regrettably I re-downloaded the steam version. The problems still persist and being that I was scolded for having a non steam version (In all seriousness it was a legitimate copy purchased at a gamestop which installed directly not requiring steam to play) and I also tried reinstalling me old version and the mods worked, with the exception of course for the mods that required the DLC's. This olden version as I stated before, this copy I purchased at walmart, did not need a steam account to play. So I fail to understand what the problem was with having a non-steam copy of the game. But, after informing this post that I did have a copy of skyrim I purchased and downloaded from steam, I continued to receive flak. Not only has this proved extremely unhelpful (Being I still have issues with custom meshes and textures not working along with some script modifications not working and have received no advice on how to remedy this issue.) It appears that here, among others whom I share interests, I am still not welcome. I will reiterate the issues thusly and I do hope that the Elitist banter ceases. I am running what I assume is the most recent version of the game, and yes, even though the modifications work much better on a copy of the game I installed to not require steam, I have submitted and reinstalled the steam version, in all its glitch ridden half-cookedness. I am running several modifications to add custom player meshes and textures as well as a flora texture pack that I personally prefer. None of the meshes pr textures are working. even though it should have successfully update the required files. For example the more mature and realistic texture pack for both male and female is still the standard texture with the diapers. Yes I use mature, adult oriented mods. Caliente's Better Bodies with bodyslide is the exact modification in question. Is it perhaps an issue with the latest patch version of the game or is it more steam related? Also script modifications such as More and Faster Mining, and 10X enchantments fail to function. I have gone through and completely removed all mods from the NMM database on my computer and deleted all residual files in my registry pertaining to skyrim before installing. I have a crisp clean install of both NMM and Skyrim at this point.

I have the box for my original copy of skyrim, nowhere on the package does it state that steam is requiresd, nor does it require you to install steam to play, I didn't even have steam on my pc when I played it. I got a steam account two years ago since it was much easier to keep up with new releases. Thats why I do not understand all this "Steam is Required for gameplay" talk. Ill even reinstall the old copy I have to prove a point, but the issue remains about the load order issuer in appdata. I dont believe it to be an issue because when I reinstalled skyrim off steam the mods I thought I had deleted returned, apparently they were saved to my cloud storage when I uninstalled it. And both versions run using seperate mods. Upon checking there was only one entry for skyrim and that was the copy I installed without needing steam. However that raises the question of why the steam version runs different mods, such as the zombie mod with random zombies appearing and bites infecting you and eventually killing you. Not a great mod for casual players. So only one appdata folder and two seperate instances of the game running without crashing. Im more confused now than I was, Like I said I just wanted to know how to get the old mods I loved to work on 1.9, they worked before I bought the dlc's off steam and whatnot. Is it possibly an issue with heathfire or one of the other dlc's? My best guess would be the HD texturepack mod overriding all the model and texture changes but Im out of practice with forcing my way through mod issues with skyrim before. Am I going to have to manually override texture and model files to get them working?

I had to purchase the game again on steam because it wouldn't let me purchase the dlc's without owning a copy of the game, and adding my non steam first copy of the game to my library didn't seem to count as owning the game. And I installed it in a seperate directory afterwards because I thought that perhaps steam was the cause of my mods not working anymore. Bringing up the registry problems does make me cringe a bit, I dealt with those early on, but since then I haven't noticed an issue with multiple installs. And I have re-downloaded the steam files for skyrim and reinstalled the mods and it still doesn't work. I am actually lost as to why nothing works anymore. I just wanted to know if there was a specific conflict with 1.9 that I need to adress to get my old mods working again.

Speaking of the games not running off steam, I have KSP and Terraria that I have copied from the steamapps folder to a flash drive to run on seperate computers without steam. In much the same way I can install to a custom directory such as my bethesda folder in the manner it used to be done and run the game normally. I originally bought an updated copy of skrim and any available DLC off steam, when the mods didn;t work I bought a hard copy from gamestop. I hate repeating myself over and over. This is'nt proving useful at all, I have even redownloaded the steam version and again, modified the NMM pathing to the steamapps folder. The mods are installed properly, I have checked, they are just not working. All I seem to be getting in response are accusations and circular logic. I have an older copy of skyrim I bought when the game first came out, modded it successfully and had it running great. After the DLC's came out and updates, it stopped running so smoothly. I took a break for a while, had a kid, and now that I have more free time Im trying to get back into skyrim, being that I never did complete the game. So it's not like I have no experience with NMM and modding games, I modded morrowind and oblivion thuroughly before, delt with file conflicts and load order issues, Im now having difficulties with even the most basic of mods working at all.

Well I only installed the Non-steam version in its own folder to run seperately without needing steam, the same way I installed Oblivion and Fallout back in the day. It runs normally without needing steam to work. And when I did use the steam version none of the mods worked, it was almost like steam was playing middle man and rerouting all the mods I was using and disabling them. I have a hard copy of the legendary edition I bought from Gamestop and a copy I bought off steam, The steam copy didn't run the mods I was using so I purchased the hard copy and installed it myself in the classic fashion. Neither copy has been hacked, unless possibly the steam version, I have a creeping suspicion steam is playing big brother on any of the games I was using. I fail to see what the confusion is, I stated I had installed skyrim to the Programfilesx86/ Bethesda directory like it used to be when I had my fresh release of the game when it came out. And I redirected NMM to the appropriate data folder.

Been vacant a while, Installed Legendary Edition to get the required DLC I was missing. And upon reinstalling the mods I had been using I noticed very very few of them worked, some of them don't completely work. I was wondering if there was any special process I should be going through to get mods to work. I have one version running on Steaem that I've all but given up on, and another version running without steam, installed to its own directory in Bethesda. Running the non steam version allows more of the mods to work but it seems to break the game. None of the body sets I use work at all, I use CBBE and better males, with the mature skin texture to make it less Fanciful. Mining modifiers like MIMx100 and any animation replacer I use refuses to work even after running FNIS. There are quite a few more, at last count 125+ mods so Im not going through the entire list. Im concerned there is something I missed in my absence about getting mods to work on the latest patch. Or do I have to take a few steps back?

I have been in several places where a lightsource that can be submerged in water would be excellent, but I find the light spell to be annoying as all get out. Perhaps a Bottle that you could drop in the water like a flare. I would love to see two versions of these, one that floats and one that slowly sinks.

Oblivion GOTY, DLC Shivering Isles, Latest patch. I seem to have missed a few things since I was last here. I had to wipe my computer and start over and since my mod folder for oblivion was too large, 12GB, I couldn't back it up. Im coming along well in the replacing what was lost. The only problem I have run into was the Body replacer Omod for HGEC. It allowed you to choose between different hip sizes and breast sizes. AA-cup to H-cup. I was just wondering what happened to it. Was it taken down or buried and/or renamed??

Ok, A Mod I loved has gone missing
EpsilionPrime replied to EpsilionPrime's topic in Oblivion's Mod Ideas
I dont know the number, all I know is it was an easy to use omod that used a series of gumps -
Ok, I checked the search database and cannot locate them. HGEC Omod, aa cups to h cup breasts. various hip sizes I know it seems rather odd, but I enjoyed being able to save/exit, run the omod to change their shape depending on my mood. Im looking for more realistics, the gigantic breast thing doesnt appeal to me, my wife has 36B cups and I tend to dislike anything larger.

Looking for the Improved Oblivion.Ini
EpsilionPrime replied to EpsilionPrime's topic in Oblivion's Mod Ideas
It's a replacer, I've found it on Nexus before, It adds more customization to the Grass, Water, and video areas. I downloaded it and replaced the one in the My Games directory. -
 Im having an off time finding the Oblivion.Ini I used to have. The basic Oblivion.ini will not allow me to turn borderregions off, I beleive I found it once while searching for a dense grass mod, but I try to retrace my steps and it is to no evail. I would greatly appreciate getting ahold of the file. It added a few extra lines to the Oblivion.Ini so you could further edit the files.

CS crashes when I edit small things, such as removing the extra doors Better Cities added to bravil to where you cannot enter the blacksmith shop, I go in and remove the blank door that leads to nowhere and save/exit. Also when I add a random Npc to walk around to add some more life to oblivion, crashes after that as well. Basically whenever I do anything it crashes.
