  1. although I really appreciate the innovation and continuing expansion of the NMM and its features, I would much rather have you concentrate on making the Nexus and its servers stable first and put the work on the NMM to the side until all the site issues are fixed. The NMM works fine right now before the 0.50 update but the site has serious connectivity issues. 502 bad gateway......a lot.
  2. Thanks for continuing to make this the best site to get mods period. NMM still has a few issues but it is to the point now where I use it instead of manually installing mods. Since all this continues to be free, I can certainly live with the growing pains and server issues. ;)
  3. 502 BAD GATEWAY 502 BAD GATEWAY 502 BAD GATEWAY 502 BAD GATEWAY and 502 BAD GATEWAY when trying to leave this comment. I will be ecstatic when that doesn't come up anymore.
  4. I will be excited for the day where "bad gateway" doesn't show up while trying to browse on the Nexus sites! I did switch to the Chrome browser since Firefox now seems to have issues and is slower than hell lately. This helped the site browsing a lot in regards to speed. Firefox used to be my go to browser but they are seriously dropping the ball at Mozilla. If others are having issues with site speed, try viewing the site with Chrome, it made a big difference for me even with Dark0ne's server issues. A side by side comparison had Chrome opening the page in half the time. To tell the truth, I would much rather have some kind of a save game manager than a profile manager. A utility with the ability to remove save bloat from saves would be a god send. Something to consider. I would much rather have it as a feature in the NMM then to have a 3rd party app. The mods I choose aren't really class specific either so a profile manager isn't necessary for me seeing as the mods I run are used for all my toons. Even if I might be running mage and get a mage specific mod, Lydia is my favorite companion (Bijin Warmaidens ftw!)) and is a sword and board tank so I still need both kinds of mods. (just an example) I also would like better mod removal/deactivation features. Some mods I have installed break the game and cause CTDs while starting Skyrim if I remove them now in NMM. Just my 2 cents from a couple of things on my wish list. :) Keep up the hard work and I really appreciate all the great features of this site and the NMM.
  5. I absolutely LOVED NWN2 and the expansions for that. I was too intimidated by the whole "modding" thing back then to attempt even adding the easiest of mods. With the way IGN dissed all of us who were unhappy with the Mass Effect ending (including those of us who stayed civil), I would never go to one of their sites now anyway. I have been thinking of dusting off NWN2 and modding it. NWN2 was my first official "love" of an RPG that got me started on the whole RPG gaming and ultimately got me to try a game called Oblivion that I had discounted before being a first person shooter type guy online in counter-strike and later source. What a good choice that was! I have since foregone going to any other sites for modding other than ones the NEXUS doesn't cover like Mass Effect. (I wish we could mod ME3 now!) This family of sites is so far superior to the others It would be a waste of time to go anywhere else. It was a pleasant surprise to go to my trusty drop down menu and see other sites up. Thank you for providing a place to save the mods I never go to try.... *reaches for his NWN2 case to install*
  6. love what you did with the armor and would really like it if you did the boots and gloves.
  7. thanks, I will give that a whirl. I do have a higher end system so FPS inside could be spiking.
  8. upon entering an interior, sometimes the clutter just goes flying like I did a fus-rah-dah and sometimes I can wiggle my mouse back and forth and disrupt clutter like I have a big invisible hand extended out even when my weapon is sheathed. I have like 37 mods installed in esp format and a bunch of stuff in my data folder like mesh and texture swaps. Is there a known mod that has collision issues and could cause this so I don't have to waste hours of testing?
  9. happens to me on both Firefox 9 with my adblock both enabled and disabled and on IE9 with no adblocks, no script or filters installed or running at all. Skyrim, TES4 and DA Nexus are all doing that to me.
  10. I got my first no timeout look today! woot! I really like the color scheme you choose for the skyrim nexus. for some reason that blue really fits. might be nice to hear after the color issues of the other sites after the change over. My first playthrough is done so let the modding begin!
  11. I was pretty sure that is what was causing it.....the popularity making more than normal clicks. One would have thought that 0ne would have anticipated that. Especially if that 0ne was Dark lol. In all seriousness, I guess this means that we will just have to accept that some of us can't get to content until the site calms down some. I am wondering if this is affecting the ability to upload mods for Skyrim as well? Is there no way to temp enhance the site server to handle the clicks for a while? I have just given up and will check back at the end of the week for mods. I want to play through vanilla first anyway so I can see what I want and don't want.
  12. I was able to get a little further in but I still timeout after about 2 or three clicks in. Trying to read the comments about issues before downloading is frustrating as best. I am by Seattle, WA which is PST if where we are makes a difference. the other nexus sites work fine still for me.
  13. what are the chances that you guys can get some extra server resources and/or bandwidth set up for the Skyrim nexus so that I can look at more than one page or even one page before I get the timeout? I know it is popular but I can't even look at the mod's description before I get a timeout. could they beef that up at the server for a while until the "new-ness" wears off of the Skyrim nexus? I would love to try one of those "no dirt" mods but I can't get far enough into the pages to try and download any of the mods. btw, the other site I view frequently is the dragon age nexus and that site works normally so it isn't just on my end.
  14. thanks for this. I like filters and this will make browsing even better for me.
  15. too cutesy for me too but my kids will like it. in a couple of days anything but Skyrim will be like...."huh? what? I can't remember anything but Skyrim!"
