Learn Japanese and find a chick straight from the source, bro. lawl

mmm...Japanese FTW... fun fact, Kayla's half Samoan which is an off-shoot of Native Americans (AKA Red Indians) who are in turn descendants of Africa and Asia!!! Can't find the article that was in again... DX but I DID read that =D (other half's Italian)

Mmm...perfection in a relationship is defined by mutual love and closeness. We're both friends and mates...and that's the best kind of relationship...one where you can truly share and enjoy life and all your favorite pass-times together.
-
Mmm... I might end up taking her to see one sometime, but for now there's not a lot I can do except torment her with the truth. x3 We don't have a perfect relationship but it's good...very good.
-
Thanks, Jao...though...every time I try she just shoves it off as being bias or lies. She claims that friends and family don't count so I enlisted strangers to give a completely objective opinion. But yes...best thing is to just keep on. She'll get it eventually.

She's my fiancée, Mahkayla...and I posted this to prove to her that she's NOT ugly like her scumbag relatives have brainwashed her into thinking she is. And don't worry, she agrees with me on the subject of "scumbag relatives" bit... But for the sake of argument, do I really need a reason here?! XD

Naw...just here. I don't go on Answers much. >P I really DON'T like Yahoo...

Wow, this is confusing...I can't tell if that three star vote was in addition to another or not x_X; Thanks =D This might actually HELP <3

She doesn't think she's pretty...I do... *I* wanna see who's right... So...if you really do wanna go up to eleven, select the one star and ten star options at once... >.> I just wanted to rock out. "THESE GO TO ELEVEN" FOR THE WIN =D EDIT: Okay...that multiple choice thing seriously did NOT work =3=

Two halves of an eye do NOT make a whole!!!
CloudLevi replied to CloudLevi's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Let me rephrase that. I can't uninstall the game TO reinstall it. I know my way around a comp...but nothing works. I think I just need to get something better than this junk refurbished VAIO. -
Shivering Isles install PHAILLLL
CloudLevi replied to CloudLevi's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
I'm admin and have full power over every UAC activity. If I didn't, I'd wipe the disk and reinstall 7 quicker than you can SAY "7"... Anyway, I'm running it on a laptop and due to the very NATURE of my problem, installing the game under a new location is A.) impossible and B.) totally pointless, since it's the installer that's crashing. - I might be able to move it, but I'm pretty sure that would do nothing but give me a headache. Either way...the drivers bit tells me I'm screwed. It's a VAIO VGN-NR220E from Sony...I've been to the drivers page numerous times and my DVD drive is still acting up (I have to use a UltraISO to play...I have both discs on here and neither the physical disc nor the ISO for SI works due to the same problem) among other problems... -
Two halves of an eye do NOT make a whole!!!
CloudLevi replied to CloudLevi's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
I should've known that. Thank you, because now I see there's NO way for me to reinstall the game because the Setup.exe for both Oblivion and Shivering Isles now crashes the INSTANT I try to boot it up... I should note now that it's not just my eyes, but ALL vampire eyes... I just checked out the cure quest and the vampire I had to talk to has the same glitched eyes... EDIT: Thanks... getting rid of the body replacer mod fixed the problem. Gives me sanity-time to come up with a full solution. Once I figure out how, I'll have to connect the mods or something. I'm gonna try just reinstalling the mod and see if that works, though... EDIT...again: Uh...nope...seems I have to simply leave the body replacer out... ...I may miss that Giger Armor... EDIT 3: Somehow, the Body Replacer and Evolution of Blood both manage to spawn the same issue, the former only affecting vampires while EoB, strangely enough, causes the problem to spread to NPCs indiscriminately. -
So... I have Game of the Year Edition for Oblivion. Fun little problem...I ALSO have the accursed Windows 7 Evaluation Copy (and cannot, by any means whatsoever, get rid of it prior to October 22 when the upgrade actually ships) Little problem I found out while installing Oblivion. Every time I try to install Shivering Isles, it CRASHES... instantly. No passing Go, no $200... as soon as I give the administrator permission to run the program, it pulls up a "Stopped responding; kill or find solution?" window and running the solution search hasn't really yielded results... So...is there some OTHER way to get Shivering Isles?!

Two halves of an eye do NOT make a whole!!!
CloudLevi replied to CloudLevi's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Like I said... This issue started BEFORE I even installed Elaborate Eyes... I made no changes at all other than cleaning my save by reinstalling CM Partners and THAT'S when it went nuts with the Argonian's eyes. As for making a Bash... I do not have Wrye Bash and I utterly refuse to download it if ONLY because it's Python-based. I already have two versions of the Python compiler on my computer. I think that's quite enough... Also, removing Male Body Replacer is NOT an option unless I reinstall the game. As far as I'm aware, OBMM doesn't save old resources before REPLACING them... =_= -
I have this cushy list of mods I've installed. I'm not going to bother listing them all, so here are just the ones that mess with the body meshes and/or textures. Unofficial Oblivion Patch 3.2.0 CM Partners 2.0 (Apparently what STARTED this madness...) -Cute Elves 1.2.1 Elaborate Eyes 1.1 (Installed only AFTER the issue arose) -Evolution of Blood 1.0 Male Body Replacer 4.0 ---The problem is twofold, but both issues are the same, just attributed to a different mod. While using Partners, I noticed that one of my followers disappeared after an Oblivion mission, then reappeared after I used the Warp Ring...WITHOUT his custom armor. So when I checked the FAQ, it said to uninstall the mod, save fresh, and reinstall... Once I reinstalled the mod, I took a look at my vampirized Argonian's eyes only to see that they'd been split at the pupil and turned around...so now it looks like there are two eyes inside the sockets... I installed Elaborate Eyes and it just got worse, spreading to the NPCs as well. Uninstalling the mods has no effect, except to free the NPCs of the affliction. Nothing fixes my character. How do I fix it?

You can remove fog by downloading the Oblivion Construction Set (free from the Bethezda website or from TESNexus; use Bethezda if you do not have a premium account on Nexus, as they provide download resuming and multiple connections offered by download managers such as Free Download Manager [colorful name, eh? ...right]) Check out the official tutorials, but keep these rules in mind since they're what I had trouble with:--- 1.) "Data" in the file menu is the same as "Load". Only select a file as "Active" if that's what you want to actually modify (something you don't want to do just yet). Otherwise, select them just like you would select a mod for gameplay when you start the game itself. 2.) Left click to drag along X and Y axes (forward, backward, left, and right.), hold Z to raise or lower objects and S to scale them (all while clicking, of course) 3.) Click + drag objects from the list into the render window to add OR select an object in the render window and press DELETE on the keyboard to remove it. This is what you're looking to do. To remove fog - as it is a physical mesh within the game and not simply a block of programming - you go to its location in the Construction Set and remove it by hand. You can do this all at once or as you go (save when you get to a bad place, then open the editor and clean the place up.). You can delete objects entirely from their list BUT THIS MAY CAUSE PROBLEMS. I haven't tried this at all yet so use discretion and ask around about it (unless someone posts the answer here...I thank anyone who does). --Hope this helps, ~Cloud

Lemme guess...spoilers forum thanks to the mentioning of my fun little mission to grab the Amulet (PHAIL! I tried killing the guy who had it...invulnerable =_=;;; or insanely powerful - don't worry....I finished the quest...). As for how I missed them, I'm not that...adventurous. My computer's slow enough that running everywhere gets annoying or boring, so I stick to riding short distances and Mapping to and fro when I can. The info on lockpicks was more how I can get them without killing random fruitcakes, so I'm meeting with Grey Fox right now so I can get into the Dark Brotherhood without reloading repeatedly in case I break a pick. Oh yes...thanks for the info.

For those who don't get the Description up there, I meant Oblivion as the game's own personal hades. I think you get me now... Okay, so my point is this. I just lost nineteen frickin' PICKS trying to keep them from getting taken by the Mythic Dawn. I found everything BUT them when I returned to gather my things, so now I haven't a single Lockpick. Where can I find them en masse? I'm utterly sick of running out. Same goes for the Vampires, but no, I didn't drop my Vampires to keep them from getting taken by the Mythic Dawn...or anyone else, for that matter. In fact, I didn't DROP any Vampires to begin with. Go figure... Bottom line, I want to get BIT...NOW!!! D<

Checked Bing for an Oblivion MP mod, but the only two mods I found are OblivionOnline, for which I saw no Version-1 or anything higher, and MultiTES4, which is dead according to one site. So my question is simple...is there a living, working Oblivion multiplayer mod? Would like to clash comps with a friend (or my girlfriend when we can get together for such a thing).

My brother came up from NC a couple weeks ago to celebrate our mom's birthday (as well as my belated 18th) and brought his 360. He had Fallout 3, and the first night, he pulled it out after a while and played it before bed. So my question is this. What makes it so great compared to The Elder Scrolls? I watched my brother slaughter a caravan of soldiers whose armor he wanted, kill a few assassins/bounty hunters/etc. and whatever rogues/renegades he ran into, go heal in this one town, then go check out the Republic of Dave only to reveal sometimes quite shoddy lipsyncing I'd say is quite below the HD glory of a 7Gen system, and then slaughter them like brahmin (sp?) after discovering there was no conspiracy where this one girl sounded like she had something incriminating to say about Dave and there was absolutely nothing worthwhile to do there period short of a pointless election that just robs you of a number of bottlecaps (or a hunting rifle at the player's choice) before giving you a handful of bottlecaps to make nice. I'm not bashing it, I'm just saying...I haven't seen that much good gameplay from it. From what I've seen, I'd rather stick with Morrowind and Oblivion.
-
XDDD Well, personally I'd rather just keep working until I can protect them. If the wave with that armored goblin is the last one, I probably won't need fancy spells or codes. But thankfully I- oh crap, I think I'm gonna have to reload a quicksave. I rested in the middle of getting to the farm so I could skip the frame-killing rain (which didn't improve the FPS any if at all) Maybe if I refrain from dropping the entirety of my Ingredients inventory I can try again. EDIT: Hee... about breaking the computer. Technically I wouldn't, but I've been severely tempted to do so to just about every PC I've owned. None of them have worked right...not even this one.

Over a hundred meshes...joy. Guess I'll have to wait 'till October. Well, note that it's not just games that got killed by my "upgraded operating system," it's all programs. Firefox, Messenger, Media Go, Office... it's all somewhat slower. So claiming it's not the OS...doesn't really make sense to me. >.> Nah... Trust me on this one, I'm dead in the water. I've done exactly as you said (I draw the line at fully reformatting my hard drive). The recovery disc clearly states when you boot it up that it will only work if there's a copy of Windows Vista already installed. All I have is Windows 7 and, hoping it might read that as a newer version of Vista, I tried it. It refuses to install anything but drivers, and even those won't install thanks to the Eva (I managed to get some when using the beta). I'll try checking for drivers. As for my hardware, I know it sucks. It sucked when dear old dad got it for me July '08 and it never stopped sucking, though it sucked a bit less when it had the Win7 beta installed. Now I have the Eva and unless I want to wait a month to get Linux, I'm stuck with this until Microsoft ships out the new discs and downloads. Already pre-ordered back in July to cash in on the 58% off deal. Reason I wanted to downgrade was to get all my drivers and Sony software working right again. Either way, getting a new computer isn't possible at this time unless someone else wants to donate. =_=; But maybe that old clunker I have laying around...if I replaced its hard drive. EDIT: I think I'll check out this "Oldblivion" thing. I've now lost BOTH brothers in the Killing Fields quest around Chorrol at two separate times. I'm not a fan of frame skipping getting my men killed. Nearly pelted my computer out the window behind me.

Ugh. Okay. Vagrant, I'm using a Sony VAIO VGN-NR220E notebook. The WEI rating is 3.1, which means I have a piece of crap video card if any at all. It was bought refurbished - without a recovery disc - from Sony. The operating system was downloaded directly and LEGALLY from the Microsoft Website just in time to save me from the First of July deadline (Windows 7 permanent shutdown), and I have no way to revert to Vista AT ALL because the recovery discs I bought from Sony for this specific computer will only work assuming an installation of Windows Vista already exists. Needless to say, I've entirely replaced the operating system and erased every trace of the old for the sake of drive space. No, there is no way for me to change operating systems prior to October 22, the very day the completed Windows 7 operating system ships to stores and homes. I have a pre-order. Until then, I have to tolerate this piece of junk. Also, I'm not a programmer, but I do have a book for the Second Unreal Engine. Maybe this engine works differently, but that one renders -everything- within line of sight. That includes everything past walls and buildings. I hate to act rude and grumpy, especially when I didn't give out every detail of my predicament from the start like I should have, but I know what I'm talking, so- Bottom line: So long as flames are being rendered, I will experience FPS skipping and sluggishness. The only fix for this that will not cost me hundreds of dollars that I don't have is to be rid of the flames. EDIT: Again, I'm sorry for being so fussy about all this, but I know what I'm talking about. I understand that I didn't explain myself enough for you to know what I know, but when you're discussing trying to fix something I know can't be fixed when all I want is a small mod of maybe a megabyte or two, it gets under my skin. Anyway, I haven't been -fully- reading your posts. A bit too long and rub my fur the wrong way. My apologies for that too. I refuse to downgrade the graphics at all. It makes me sick that they used two-dimensional trees in the main game (I can't install Shivering Isles this time. For some reason, no matter what I do for Compatibility Mode, it crashes and shuts down (the installer, not the computer) every time I try), so if anything I want to upgrade everything as much as my meager little hardware can take. I have the latest graphics drivers for my computer directly from Windows Update, so there's not much I can do along the lines of drivers. I have an integrated graphics processor and I should note I got this computer a year ago. I've looked at all the factors and I know full well from the behavior and hardware statistics that rendering flames is what slows me up. Getting rid of them is my only choice unless you want to donate some money for a new computer with Windows XP... Again, I apologize for my lack of patience.

XD I hear that, Rets. Hope you noticed my sig, BTW. Punk to the bone. *loads up on glowsticks* =3 - Yes, I know that Punks are not inherently rave-goers.

Actually, guys...it's ALL fire. Those foggy/dusty spots in certain dungeon hallways seem to slow down too, but ALL fire (candles and torches; I haven't encountered any other fire sources) in the game slows it down. Also, the Eva (evaluation copy/release candidate) of Windows 7 performs more slowly in general than both the Win7 beta AND Windows Vista Home Premium on this computer. EVERYTHING I do is slower, especially Morrowind and Oblivion, neither of which had any (or many) stuttering issues before Microsoft forced the Eva on me as long as I kept things simple (visual range down a bit, but land viewing distance seemed to be fine as long as I didn't turn on View Distant Lands, which glitched up and made fake ground....which nearly got me killed once). It's a simple problem with a simple fix. Problem: Torches, candles, and other sources of moving fire take up more processing power. Going near numerous torches slows the computer down more. Going near one might be okay, though. Rain has the same effect, though the degree seems random (sometimes runs smoothly with multiple torches in the vicinity). The Mages Guild in Chorrol is by far the worst I've experienced and the first/main room is permanently slow due to the masses of candles. Solution: Get rid of the flames. Replace torches with Welkynd stones (as an example. They're rather attractive anyway) and the candles with...what...glow-sticks, perhaps?
