I am looking to start playing Fallout: New Vegas again. But I want to role play it, in a western themed environment. I am looking for any suggestions for mods, that would work to help me set this up. I would like to add things like revolvers, derringers, lever action rifles, shotguns, weapons like that. I know the Vanilla version of New Vegas comes with some of those things, I am looking for more of a variety of weapons of those styles though, plus higher quality re-skins of the vanilla models, and if possible, replace a lot of the lazers, assault rifles and things like that. More Western style clothing, and higher quality reskins of original armors would help as well. I am not really looking to re-play the main story, or anything like that, so I'm not looking to enhance that experience. If there is any way of getting rid of the monsters, gouls, mutants, and giant enemies, and maybe replace them with either more realistic wild-life, and human NPC's, like bandits, and such, that would be great too, if possible. I haven't done much modding to Fallout games, but I have heavily modded out Skyrim, and oblivion, so I have no major issues with more complicated modding practices. I'm also looking for any addons that don't necessarily add objects, but still add to the experience. I know there is a bounty hunter mod, that adds bounty hunts to the game. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

LE Adopt Aventus Arentino with Hearthfire
BillytheCrayon replied to BillytheCrayon's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Well, other than one thing, it's perfect!. The only problem I'm seeing, is that he is quite a bit taller than he should be. I think he's the same size as Samuel. (which is much taller). Other than that, this mod does exactly what i'm asking for. thank you so much! -
LE Adopt Aventus Arentino with Hearthfire

That should work for what I'm looking for. I would greatly appreciate it. If you can pull this off, I'll give you a shout out on my lets play. I'm not planning on having him as a follower, or bringing him to the dark brotherhood hideout or anything. just want to be able to adopt him like any other child, to go along with my characters story. -

So, i'm willing to bet this is straight up not possible, as no one has been able to do it yet, and it doesn't look like anyone else is trying. :( -
LE Adopt Aventus Arentino with Hearthfire

I believe you can get your hearthfire to open in the creation kit, but installing this http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25146 It just changes the SkyrimEditor.ini file I'm not a modder myself, so I don't know how involved it is to make someone adoptable. Thanks for this, didn't know there was a fix. I'll see what I can do. Thanks. let me know how it turns out. -

LE Adopt Aventus Arentino with Hearthfire

That's what I was thinking. It takes couple of days (or more), but he will get back to orphanage and you can adopt him. You can't. he is at the orphanage now, and you can talk to all the children, to consider them for adoption, except him. when you click on him, he just gives a dialogue, and walks away, it won't let you talk to him. according to many sources, (UESP wiki, and such) they did not make him adoptable. -
OK. I am after building a house with the hearthfire mod. I also cleared out the Dark Brotherhood, and finished that story line. Now, I want to be able to adopt Aventus Arentino. The game will not let me. I want to do this through the hearthfire mod, not through some follower mod. I've seen a post on this forum via a google search on this request, but it turned into more of a troll fest, and don't think anyone actually did it. I just want him as a regular adoptable child, not some weird quest around it to make him a sociopathic murderer. just to clear this up, he is at the orphanage, but after i unlock the ability to adopt, i can talk to all the children, and consider them for adoption, except for him. when I click on him, he gives a piece of dialogue, and walks away, it won't let you talk to him. just the others.

Hey guys, i just started back up my lets role-play of skyrim on my youtube channel. Feel free to check it out, let me know what you think. Hey guys, I'm dong a lets roleplay of Skyrim, but in it, I'm not going through the main story line, or a lot of other quest lines. I would like to be able to purchase player houses in the game without needing to do a bunch of quests for the jarl, or gain their trust or anything. Is there any addons that allow you to do this??? Or can someone make one???

LE [req] Inebriation type mod for Skyrim
BillytheCrayon replied to BillytheCrayon's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Yeah, i'd be happy with the screen getting more and more fuzzy, until you drink too much, and you pass out. Perhaps have an option where s*** can get looted off of you while you're passed out. -
I would love to see an addon, that makes you able to get drunk off alcohol, or high off schooma. Perhaps pass out as well. And even better (for the type of character I want to play) would be that if you drink or do drugs regularly enough, you can get a disease, like alcoholism or something from said vice. I'm not sure if it's possible to make this type of an addon yet. I know they have it for Oblivion. Just putting my suggestion out there. What do you guys think?

I'd like to see a mod, that makes it so when you drink alcohol, you can become increasingly intoxicated, and maybe pass out. If that's possible.

ok, i tried CM, and the same think happened. some of them started attacking me. however, after reading into the documentation, and what JCP and Nexus Set are saying, It looks like I probably had too many companions. I will try again with only 6. Which is fine for me (I think i was trying with like 8 or so). I'm not trying to have a giant army take a city with me or anything. I am trying to play as a rebel leader, set out to take the towns of Cyrodiil one by one, marching through the towns, and killing anyone who stands in our way. And when were done taking the town, and killing the Count/Countess, go into the shops and loot out anything we can find, taking anything we want. go to one of the bars, and steal the booze, and get plastered at our victory. Not just the towns, but ambushing imperial patrols, and of course the black horse couriers, who could be a scouts, set out to find us and report our position to the imperial army. In the end, move on to the Imperial city, taking it one section at a time, working our way to the Palace to find and(with the help of the main quest delayer from the Modular Oblivion Enhanced mod) kill Emperor Uriel Septim. Then finally, wear his robes and the Amulet to crown myself emperor of Cyrodiil. I knew there would be game engine limitations that prevented me from having too many followers, but six or so should do nicely to keep it looking like a semi-epic battle.

So what i'm trying to do, is set it up so that me, and about 5 or 10 NPC's can team up and we all attack towns, working our way through all of the towns before moving onto Imperial City. I have been trying this with Companion share and recruit (or something like that), but what ends up happening, is all of my companions all scream "MURDER" as soon as the first guard dies, and they get confused. at first they were attacking the guards, then after my bounty hit about 5k, they turned on me. But the healers got confused, the heal bots would be blasting me with spells, then healing me, while everyone else would beat on me. then when all the guards or other npc's are dead, they stop attacking me. It's quite funny really, but not quite what i was looking for. Does anyone know how to make this work? or know of a similar mod that might suit my needs?
