Unfortunately Vista :wallbash: Words do not exist to express how much I loathe that operating system. I loved XP which was on my old computer that died.... sigh... Downloaded it from Source Forge... (think I got the right one...that site seems to be for computer geeks who know what they are doing)... LOL Got the same stupid error so it has to be my computer sigh... Thanks for the info

I'm assuming you mean 7Z. This is a file extension used by the compression software 7-Zip, which you need in order to unpack the 7z file. It's free, and you can download 7-Zip from the following link; http://www.7-zip.org/ The 7z file you download from the nexus will actually contain one or more of the true files you need to install, but in a packed format. You therefore have to unpack them (using 7-Zip) before you can install them. It's an easy process. People do this because the package is a lot smaller than the loose unpacked files, so it's faster to upload to the nexus. Hope this helps ;) Unfortunately I have tried several times to download the 7-zip file archiver and keep getting an error message: "The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete. This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed downlaod or a virus. You may want to contact the author of this installer to obtain a new copy. It may be possible to skip this check using the /NCRC command line switch (NOT RECOMMENDED). I have tried several times to download it and get the same error every time. I am hesitant to end up with a screwed up program on my computer... Already have too many of them now LOL

What the heck is a "Z7 file" I keep running across them and cannot do anything with them... have downloaded several OMODS since the files are Z7 they do not show up on my Mod Manager to load them... I tried saving as "All files" but still end up as Z7...

I tried them but every time I load them with the Mod Manager the game goes tilt and won't run... For that matter I cannot get most mods to run so only am using a few that work. Seems like I can only load OMODS. LOL I know just enought about computers to get myself in trouble so putting files in various places is kind of beyond me... If I cannot push a button and it gets done, I get lost...

OK I bit the bullet and tried both the apprentice Assassin from the Assassin Guild, and the Mageling from the University as followers. And both promptly died at the first fight. They rushed in and got killed instead of standing back and either casting spells (the mage) or shooting arrows (Assassin). I gave up, used the cheat and resurrected them and sent them home to their respective starting points. They are just too much of a pain to deal with. If you could give them orders to stand back out of combat and fight that would be good. I can see a fighter rushing in, but mage and assassins should stand back and fight...(the assassin should do sneak attacks)... How the heck do you use them and keep them alive. My Character uses a bow and occasionally magic so he stands back and only fights hand to hand when cornered... Oh and that is another thing... the idiots rush in and I hit them when they are near the enemy. Not a good thing...
