  1. Hmm, so we know that some of the mods will be able to work with the remastered version. Hopefully they made it so that the creation kit can open the old mods and "resave" (or recompile, dunno the correct term) the mod in a compatible format for the remaster. Addressing gamefever's concerns about the early mods vs late mods. I think we should also include the quality of mods being released. Like you said, there isn't enough info on whether or not that porting the old mods will be easy or not. If it is simple, then we might see a deluge of the more simple mods being re-released prior to the more extensive overhauls. Also, what about youtubers who highlight good mods? Brodual and Mxr are 2 that come to mind where mods that they review aren't necessarily in the top 100 and frequently i find newer, more stable mods just by poking around for a bit. (that is assuming that the standard mod user does a bit of digging other than the 1st page) That being said, I am worried about what we saw with fo4 console modding where people where either directly uploading or porting over mods without authors' consent. It happens to some degree no matter what, but hopefully not the extent that it makes gaming news. Also, if the remaster is also getting mods, do you guys think that more people would start making mods that could "fit" on a console? I'm not too sure how many people still play Skyrim on a console given how long the game has been out along with the advances in pc hardware.
  2. Judging from what's been released so far, yes it is true 64-bit. Not a 32-bit program running in a 64-bit system. And really? 255 mod limit, while not small, still seems like a rather arbitrary number (never reached that ceiling though). That said, it's been announced that the PS4 for Fo4 won't have the same capacity for mods, you guys think this limit will also extend to the remaster? Plus the mod order issues are going to be an issue as the modding community extends to encompass consoles. A good portion of friends who use consoles and have very limited experience with mods (i think the most experience one had was installing a texture and music mod) keep asking me whats wrong when they either download mods meant for pc or have a crap load order. Any word on that so far from Bethesda?
  3. Hopefully the new CK allows for modders to port their "older" mods over to the newer engine. Does anyone know if it is 100% confirmed that only Beth.net will be the place for mods to be uploaded (cause that would really suck given the current fiasco regarding Fo4)? Addressing the whole mod thing, keep in mind the source of the uproar. It's people trying to pass off stolen mods as their own, not the fact that the PC mods haven't been ported yet (currently unaware of how many have been ported so far) to satisfy the console users, or that people want the mods to be ported over.
  4. I know that Hearthfire came with more spouse dialogue options. More specifically, lines that pertained to the adpoted kids where you could ask him/her how they were doing. For some odd reason, this dialogue option doesn't show for me (Married Muiri, then reloaded a previous save and married Ysolda, same results for both). I've checked to see if the person I married actually has voice acting (Muiri, who is considered a neutral spouse and thus the lines existed) as well as reset the marriage quest, set the relationship rank, etc. Is there any way around this bug or is it something else entirely? (and I don't think texture/armor/clothing mods should've changed anything). I read somewhere that only NPC's that can be made into stewards have these lines? I've tried using a mod that supposedly fixed this, but it didn't work. (Side note, is there a master list of all spouses that actually have this dialogue associated with them?)
