  1. DLCs may only be good with console system, but on PC with good modding community, they essentially useless. I have all DLCs for years and only bother to use them one time when I first bought it, not worth even using with abundance amount of available mods. On the side topic, DLCs purchase is the biggest scam ever. Why you may ask? Because theirs prices remain the same even when the main game goes down to $20 or less. Again, biggest scam ever and don't tell me that you can have a choice. I am so glad I have most games on PC with great modding communities.
  2. I love Legend of Dragoon and its unique armor for long time, would be great to see such great armor in this game. Now with Flight combat system, I think this would be really great addition to go along with it. Instead of sprout wings to fly, you can transform and fly, sound much better. I can't wait for this mods to actually be in game, need more people to help. Here is to wet your appetite. http://infohost.nmt.edu/~rrembold/gal/RandomMix/wallpaper_the_legend_of_dragoon_04_1024.jpg
  3. Yep, 2 different types of armors. Dragoon armor here is a class from Final Fantasy 4 for Kane while Legend of Dragoon armors is from said game with 8 armors in total. I love Legend of Dragoon, the wings and unique armor is just so cool, would love to have it in this game along with Flight Combat system.
  4. All hype now. We don't even have much information about the game, just bits and pieces just like before I bought FF13 and FF14 and turns out to be the biggest waste of money. Anyway, a good PC game will only be really good when there are lots of mods to tailor individual playing style. It just like with Oblivion, Beth will mess it up and it is up to the modding community to fix it as usual. Asides from all that, I just can't be motivate with ugly characters, so wait at least 6 months before any good mods come out.
  5. You're probably not getting an answer because no one knows. If I had to guess I'd say maybe a pose mod, which wouldn't give you a usable weapon in that position as it's just for screenshots. then what about the animation? and about the weapon placement i dont think its a pose , i saw a video somewere were they were running around with a sword sheated like that. It probobly was useless and you couldnt use it , but it looked cool :P Judging from the picture of Sasuke, I don't think there is a one handed sword animation like that, at least I haven't seen it yet. However, there is a dual wield style with the left handed holding sword like that from DMC Stylish. Besides, such a stance for it only works for katana or shortsword, the rest just look awkward in that position.
  6. Most of the popular scifi show, they have a set of detail worksheet on the dimension of each ship, where there bridge locate, mass and such. If the ship gains popularity, they will release blueprints and fans fill out the rest. I bought a Millennium Falcon model for $150 2 years ago and they are all up to scale. They are really detail and I think these kind of ship also have such models. The problem is with prices since more details will cost you more. Anyway, as a Trekkie fan, I am more interest in Voyager, but Enterprise is a good ship too.
  7. Well, never have enough of these kind of mods. A town for player and the ability to expand that very town has been in many games. Dragon Quest 7 has a good concept on this where the type of people you recruited allows 4 different outcomes for the final look and the type of items that will sell in that game. My suggestion is about the same as Neverwinter Night 2, where there is a need of attention for yours town and how it will turns out depend on your diplomatic and relation skills. Anyway, I can't wait for any of this type of mods to come out. It is always fun to be able to directly influence the course development for your town.
  8. Ohh, I just got a great idea to go with this. While expanding your town, you found a hidden passage underneath an old beautiful decorate statue that is now the center of your mansion. Upon further research and exploration, you found out that it is actually the portal that leads to place in the Aleid's rough translation "The most valuable treasure in the world is through here". Suddenly, you found bandits, cutthroat, and all kind of people including some of powerful people across Tamriel trying to aim for the treasure behind the portal. Your tasks are more critical than ever, reinforce your town walls, find trust worthy companions/people to help defend against daily attack, while maintain the public order and ensure trade route to further expand your town. You must venture out to search for all kind of races who you can trust, build up alliances and explore the other side of the portal for the ultimate treasure. Your town is now the center of attention far and wide. Different kinds of people from all over come settle in your town, some with malicious intent while others simply have different agenda that could benefit not only them, but you as well.
  9. Well, it's a them for Elder Scroll series to have the main char as a prisoner or some sort. Even Nehrim that just recently come out have you as a prisoner in a mine, LOL. As for combat, you guys could create more hotkey to use different kinds of gun independent from the Oblivion like SSS that use F9 to F10 for different style. More guns and fast switching = win in any game ;p The story doesn't work well since you can't just go in and figure out how to use guns, armors and barriers. The knowledge different of over 1000 years just make it seems less believable. You could use the story plot from "Hard To Be A God", the ship lands near that town and you muster all the courage to investigate. Upon arriving at the ship, you tried to sneak around, but one alien notices your presence. You tried to fight against it, but your weapon prove little to have no effect. You are about to get kill, then suddenly a blade go through its chest from behind. A man approach you and you recognize that he is the famous count that has been the talk of the town for the last 2 years. You have a lot of questions to ask, but the count said he will answer all your questions. The first thing is to get out of here before more aliens show up. You follow the count to his mansion and here he did a little test on you before revealing to you about his true identity and how he is able to kill the alien. The count asks you to follow him to the basement and there he shows you a secret room. Inside the strange room, all sorts of weird object being display. You recognize one of the weird object that looks similar to the weapon the alien used earlier. It turns out that the count is actually an observer from another planet, send here to to do research on the people and theirs "magical power". He then also reveal that yours "DNA" contain trace element that is not found in this world. After more questioning and testing, it turns out that one of your parent is actually from "Earth" and since you technically is not 100% native life form on this planet, so he can help you without restriction from rules or protocol imposed on him. He also reveal about his project on magical energy and how you could benefit from it since you are a half breed, you can use magical power and benefit from all the equipment with compatible DNA. Anyway, the story goes on like that, he shows you around and provide you with weapon and armors, some of them look like normal weapon, but underneath is a really high-tech device. Like the blade with titanium reinforce or armor with miniture reactor to provide shield and barriers. He also show you how to make more so you can give them to yours companion. Sorry for the long post, I love "Hard To Be A God" game and it just fits so perfectly into Oblivion, maybe one of your parent is a Spartan warrior that got stranded on this planet.
  10. People have to remember that these mods are created for the author to use first of all, then if they deem necessary, they will share it to the public. As fellow mods users, we can only request them, not forcing them to make which mods and what kind of content in the mods. Too much anime? One could say the same with too much normal type? If majority of people like it, then it should be the way it is. If you don't like "too much" of something, then create it yourself. It's how the world works, we follow with the majority and if we don't like it, change it ourselves.
  11. You could try to look at SSS mods, since I am sure people would like to be able to use more than 1 gun at any given time without switching. The original version allows you to use gun without equip them, they are hard-coded into the mods and doesn't use any bullets. I mean what I am referring to is the "style" hot key where you can only use a single hand gun if you use any combat style and can only use "dual guns" when you are in gun mode. If you can pull the style off, you can basically hard code a variety of mini-weapons to the char and switch them with hotkey while equipping main weapon. What I am saying is while holding energy sword, you can like example press E to shoot with your guns, then hit F9 to F12 to switch gun style. F9 allows you to use shotgun, F10 is a machine gun, FF11 is a sniper gun and FF12 is a dual handed guns. Then when enemies get close, you just press left click on mouse to attack with energy weapon or right click to defend. Ahhh, my idea is running wild again, but I just love Spartan so much and they are just the best of the best. Anyway, the name of the file is "Oblivion SSS Combat 3DM edited", first hit from google. And here is the video from Youtube, demonstrate style switching between guns, sword and kicks with SSS mods. You can see right away that it allows more variety of combat technique and make it more fun to fight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OF_7pK6NA1A&feature=player_embedded
  12. I use the original SSS mods that include the gun, it doesn't interfere with any existing weapon and can be use with hotkey or different style. I think you can ask them for pointer on that. I love the guns from that mods, specially 2 guns style where you can shoot front and back or left and right at the sametimes. Then there is a jump spin style shooting, can't get enough. You can find the SSS original mods via google, should be the last link on first page.
  13. This mod idea sounds like from Neverwinter Night where you own a fort, upgrade it from building, to guards and such. It is one of my favorite since you feel more attach to it. Here is a few more idea, how about upgrade equipment for guard and also help patrol to clear out bandit on local roads. This will help the amount of merchant and such. Try to have something that you need to be involve with your guards and help defend against attack. Anyway, looking forward to it. I also using Starfleet mod for mobile home, so this mods is making it so similar to "Hard To Be A God" game where underneath the castle is a safehouse and the lord of this town is actually an observer from the Federation (Earth).
  14. It's the mod name, you can find it easily, but anyway, here it is: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=32858 Since I use SSS mods with gun, this fits perfectly to the role of my char. I love it when I am on Bladesong quest and in a hurry, my char is like don't care with UP3 protocol, so I just make the ship appear above bandit camp and open fire on all of them.
  15. Starfleet for me. My role-playing is from "Hard To Be A God" where I am an alien from another planet and while exploring as normal people, I got mix up and gotten in jail. There I meet the Emperor and gotten involve in all sort of trouble. I love Starfleet so much, you can make a ship appear in middle of the tower, lower the lift and getup there. The amount of detail for scifi inside the ship is incredible and you can teleport back to the ship anytime. It also has 2 markers for recall and can travel freely in any world/plane since if you are in that world, it has a mini-map in the control room where you can pick the "insertion" point and get there. Anyway, just try it if you are scifi fan, it is one of the coolest mobile base mod out there.
