Most demanding and best graphic and visual enhancers?
demon69120 replied to demon69120's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
Yeah goodrays does dip performance! But it's worth it! So far all these mods are going great guys :). I get 60fps or so outdoors. 35 with ENB. The only thing that wants to weigh me down is Banasplit Better Cities, which drops me to a constanly stutter like 40-40-60-45-9-9-12-30-2-10-45-60-60. So everything looks great, that's it? Are there any mods that majorly enhances vanilla objects' texture such as bowls, armor, swords, etc? I just wanted to say, Oblivion looks so incredibly stunning I can't even describe it... I will do a frabs recording soon. I'm in the IC and I'm looks at a dark tree with a few illuminated leaves floating infront of a big moon. Oblivion looks better than irl :D. -
Most demanding and best graphic and visual enhancers?
demon69120 replied to demon69120's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
...what else were you expecting? Crysis came out later, and was designed to look better, and isn't as open-world as Oblivion, so it was able to do so. Oblivion will NEVER look anywhere CLOSE to Crysis. And Oblivion will, a large percentage of the time, run worse on a good computer than Crysis will. And WHY on EARTH are you WANTING lag? The whole point behind having a good computer is to run a game at high graphics without lag. I could only WISH to play the game on even MEDIUM graphics. Just take what you're getting and be thankful for it man/woman. [/soapbox] Modifications are incredibly powerful; Crysis looks twice as good with a simple config mod. Oblivion does too, yet of course it's a littler more complex. I never actually said my goal was to lag my computer. I just love visuals I said that my computer can handle anything, so that won't be an issue and I also confirmed that none of the mods are too strong either, "nothing is lagging me". Sorry if it came out wrong. Powerful computers are coming cheap now, a complete box capable of Crysis at 720p would only cost around $600. A card would only be $150. Yes it's still a lot, but if visuals matter to you as much as me, it is manageable. I'm sorry if I came off rude, or spoiled to the people with older computers. -

So that's it? So far my computer still won't really lag! And Crysis looks a million times better. -
He says he wants it to look as beautiful as can be since he has a good computer so you all recommend him gameplay mods? Gotcha. How "Good is your computer"? I have the best of the best, and still, I've learned Oblivion can be heavier than Crysis which my computer runs great. Try these: Banasplit Better Cities HD Water Enhanced ENBseries Oblivion Beaming Sunglare QTP 3 Redimized (Looks the same as original IMO) Really AEVWD Weather - All Natural Improved Trees and Flora 1 & 2 Depth of Field Ambient Dungeons Animated Windows lighting system These are what I use currently. They look great, but believe me, you will need a nice CPU (i7, phenom II X4 955/965, Core 2 Quad), and a GPU equivilent or better than a GTX 260/ HD 4870 to get these all going smooth. I have two 4870s and I still stutter sometimes!

Well I have 4gb of DDR3 7-7-7-20 A Phenom II X4 955 @ stock, can put it at 3.8 if I need to. Nothings OC 4870 x2 I got from ebay for $200 650 Watt PSU Crappy Mobo, Crappy HDD Windows 7 x64 installed, and I used something called ATI Tweaker that I'm not sure if it even helped. It was a registry tweak. With it all on I'm getting 40 fps in IC Market district, but Banasplit Better Cities is setup with no fps filtering options etc, and stutters it sometimes... -

Sadly nothing still weighing me down, and it doesn't look GREATEST. Is QTP III better looking than redimized? (only answer if you've compared them)! Tried Improved Trees and Flora 1& 2 BananaSplit Better Cities Weather - All Natural Natural Enviroment 2000 x 2000 LOD Depth of Field Animated Windows Lighting System QTP 3 Redimized HD Water Enhanced and still using ENB instead of OBGE, because it looks tigh. -

Ok, checked out Goodrays and SSOS. Looks good :), do they hit you as bad as ENBseries? -

So you think an SSD will need to be my next upgrade? I only have a 7200 RPM 32mb HD currently, that may be a bottleneck :(. I guess you're right though, I never realized Oblivion was so unstable. Well with your advise and looking around, now I have RAEVWD, HD Water, Sunglare, and QTP 3 redim. Also found ENB Series which hits my performance a bit, but the effects look great. Was wondering if there's a little faster alernative to RAEVD because the 4000 x 4000 is ouch even on a 4870 x2. -
Staffs exist so I'm sure. I'm hoping you'll make a wave sword. Something curved with cool animations that sends out a flashy cresent wave.

There are so many different mods to improve graphics and looks of everything in the game, and I can't even tell which I need and which are the best. I just built my first computer and it can handle anything. I am able to run Crysis maxed out in 1080p with even more demanding custom configs with a solid 30 fps. I LOVE eyecandy. I love windows lights, flashy textures, contrast changers, blur, everything. I need to know all the mods that will make Oblivion truly the best looking possible. Performance hits aren't an issue! So far I have QTP III redimized because it looks the same as the original IMO. Thanks :).

Possible to use MMM, OOO, and Frans?
demon69120 replied to demon69120's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
Thanks! :) and another question to everyone... I think I decided to use FCOM since I just noticed it includes Oblivion Warcry! How could I use THIS, which is Armamentarium for Francesco's, which adds a ton of new equips among NPCs? And what other mods can I use to make combat better- I already use Adrenaline. And what other mods add to FCOM equipment/gameplay...? Overall, good mods I can use with FCOM, and what's inside of it. ;D. -

No reply. :( -
So, I was setting up OOO, and Fran's, seems pretty easy, then I get to MMM... the folder is full of things, like MMM for OOO, ect, I'm getting confused. Is it possible to use all 3 and how do I do it? I'm almost wanting to use FCOM... but MAO, the animation overhaul wants load order like this. AnyPlugins Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul.esp -> if you use it Martigen's Monster Mod.esp -> if you use it AnyPlugins AnyAnimationPlugins -> if you use any Mayu's Animation Overhaul.esp Streamline.esp -> if you use it Bashed Patch.esp -> if you use it Deadly Reflex.esp -> if you use it END Be sure that your Load Order looks like this. Any advice? :thanks: Also.. I wanted to use Armamentarium for Francescos... so I could get a lot of new NPC Items with fran's. If that's not possible though, it's chill. How exactly would I get Fran's with the item's addon, MMM, and OOO at the same time? I'll probably have to use FCOM, but would that still work with MAO? Also what patches am I gonna need for FCOM ;D?

Hey  . I'm looking for some mods that kind of make oblivion better, like tweaks, quests, adventures, equipment, and new places so explore. I like the weapons in Romuska's Fantasy store to give everyone an idea of what kind of equipment is apealing... what are some good mods to make oblivion better? Curently, I have a few adventure mods like the Lost Spire,s Ruintale's Tale, Lost palidans of the Divine, and Servant of the Dawn. For tweaks I'm using Mart's Monster Mod, F's Leveled Creatures, OOO, and Adrenaline Oblivion Already. I like mods that enhance little simple things, to big overhaul's. Anything that add a more unique aspect. For example.. something that would crowd the rodes more, make a blur when you're hurt, light changes, get blood stains, those would all be cool. ;D Haha, and ways to make oblivion run faster, or enhance it :/. What do you guys recommend for new adventures, equipment, tweaks, and areas? Thanks.

Hey on those scimitars, the poster stated that they are a private release  You might just try a PM to the poster... the image is from DMC Stylish Animations Images right?

:wallbash: Ughh. Finally got vanilla oblivion in without buying anything yet, have to have fairly low res, or frames kinda suck lol. According to my father our CPU is really good (which it's not...) and dual-cores are only to save energy haha. I think he's crazy?
-
OBMM can turn all .zip/.rar/.7z packages into OMODS so I can load them right?
-
Haha ohh. :wallbash: In that case I'll stick with Intel CPUs  Gonna order a quad-core 2.77GHz or Dual-core if I can't. And 9800 GT sounds good. I think I got it all figured out now. Thankyou!
-
Thanks! Gonna download that stuff. And warcry is supposed to be kind of an oerhaul i'm assuming, because it's talked about around things like OOO and MMM. But maybe it doesn't even exist? Haha. It's included in FCOM Convergence which is Right Here. Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul, Martigen's Monster Mod, Oblivion WarCry, and Francesco's Leveled Creatures-Items is included. EDIT: Actually I found this on Bethesda fourms... but I can't find a version compatible for my other mods. Nevermind I'm set ;D

Haha, ok I won't overclock it with my motherboard >.>. My dad REALLY does not understand computers, so no idea if I can believe this, but supoosedly our motherboard had old CPU socket so we could use our current CPU. He says that we can't even get a dual-core Cpu ha. I know that's no right... How can I know what CPUs will fit mine? Some are like $50. And browsing Newegg I can find a lot. Intel Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo, Pentium and Celeron is all it can use I think...? I don't even know how to tell if it's core 2 lol. But would Socket AM3 work? The gpu I might not get and just not use QTP  . Although I've seen how much better it makes the game. If I wanted all of that graphic enhancing I'd need around 9800 GT right? As far as not getting a laggy game. I like close to console-perfect fps  . If I don't get a new gpu I might want to figure out how exactly I can oerclock it without a risk of ruining anything. I want to get closer to max :/. It's actually a Geforce 8500 GT 1024mb so I guess bigger than normal. Haha ohh about the temperature. My alterter tell's me in farenheit >.< so didn't know that. My case is actually really little I don't know how it is all stuffed in there haha :D. My CPU is around 60 just browsing here.. with anti-virus, and processes. GPu is at 70. What overheats is my GPU graphics card, which gets to 95 C when I'm playing WoW! It takes a half an hour but still. What also would be the problem is my house... I live in Arizona without AC so it's always 90+ . But I just took off the side so air goes around anyways  . I could just get a fair-priced CPU and be able to play without lag as long as textures aren't maxed, enhanced and everything too, right? And a GPU then I'm set for QTP. haha btw I know what you mean about being happy with what you got especially if it's your computer ;D What are some of the (not adding new stuff like CPU and graphics card) way to make oblivion preformace better in gerneral? I understand there's some mods, .ini settings (which I actually don't know what they are), nvidia settings ect to make oblivion preform better- graphic and preformance. Haha, I think this is my last question(s) about all of this, :thanks: a lot for all of the help. Also learned a lot lol.
-
Sorry got another question haha... http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/11182-1-1241585399.jpg What hairstyle is that from? And where can I get Warcry? I can't find it on search.
-
Yep got the mods :thanks:
-
Ahh okay  I was looking through New Egg at the CPUs, and at the GPUs from Nvidia. I'm half wanting to buy a quad-core so I won't have to replace it for TES 5  . Only problem is they're like $300 lol. All I really understand when looking at the cpus is if it's i7 or not, the GHz, and how many cores... so I don't really know why some quad cores are a thousand dollars, some are only $150, ect. The one you linked is probably the best I could buy for around $100 right? With all of you're advice ( :thanks: ) really leaning towards a nice CPU and GPU. But the lower amount I spend (haha, you're good at that), the more of the chance I can convince my family to let me order it  . Ha, ok. Over-clocking is ramping it up... and I don't have much knowledge about this stuff :whistling: . Might try to ask my dad's friend adice before attemping this. But how much preformance is boosted generally in this circumstance? If it's not a huge deal I won't bother. Yeah for the GPU I want to be in the 9-series I'm thinking. But many of the high-class ones have a minimum power-source requirement even bigger than what I have :wallbash: . 9500 GT might just be the best for my computer. Ok! That's good I can change 32-bit to 64-bit... maybe with my old HD. But what do you think would be the best option to get most of my current HD onto the new one? I don't think it's completely possible, but since the computer I use isn't completely mine, I don't want to loose my sister's pictures, ect. Also, a DVD-RW drive will read Obliion and install it right? Not a DVD-RAM, ROM ect. drive. Also, even just playing WoW maxed, it overheats pretty quickly. We just have a ncie CPU fan, and a fan that just filters aroudn the air. Of course there's one on my GPU too, but a little one... and I don't know how well it works. At 200 F my addon makes my computer shut down so it doesn't ruin anything. Maybe I should just take off the side and gte a big plug in fan lol. Wih QTP3 Enhanced water, BSBC, and weather, the Frames get really low. What's considered high, and not laggy? Some people can manage all of this.

Haha, thanks! I'm becoming a little less confused with your help. What exactly is overclocking..? And how would I overclock my graphics card? I keep hearing it :wallbash: . Also "BIOS settings" are not in my mind. What exactly do I need to check and what is it under on Everest? I only have the trial version. Wow, $400 is great! Since basicly the computer probably has nothing I need to use besides the disk drives, shell, and power suply, I might try to buy some of the parts you said. Basicly, now I'm determined to getting as close as possible to maxing oblivion with graphic improvement. I probably have close to $250 right now, and could deffiantly get something like $500. Thinking about all that with a little higher Geforce. So, old one already has the hardive, disk drives, mouse and keyboard. The motherboard, graphics card, RAM, and CPU are probably trash. All those pieces could be ~400? AMD seems to be a better price. And I don't see why it would function worse than Intel anyways. Also, if my system is 32-bit, how would I change it to 64-bit? I don't really get why a lot of people say it's impossible to change even if you change every part in your computer. But since I want it to last, 3GB being fast won't last another couple years with technology. And I had no idea they already use quad-cores, when I am trying to get a dual-core haha. A quad-core is even twice that? What is the (for QTP3) 4870 1GB $165? Some kind of graphics card... and not too energy-eating for 450W? I think that's something equivilent to the new GeForce Series. I'll also need a lot of pricey fans huh? Kind of looking at a new processor mainly, a graphics card second, and upgrading to 64-bit if that's even possible. EDIT: Oh.. this might help lol. Motherboard Name MSI G31M3 V2 (MS-7529) (2 PCI, 1 PCI-E x16, 2 DDR2 DIMM, Audio, Video, LAN)
