That's the fix I have - it's packs/cartons of cigs in containers that cause the CTDs.

better living through chems appears to be part of FWE, which I have installed. I have a patch which partially fixes this issue when looting talon corpses, but cigarettes in boxes often cause a CTD on pickup.

Specifically, I want to remove anything related to cigarettes from my game, as half the time when I try to pick up a pack or carton my game crashes. Is there an easy way to do this?

It doesn't happen all the time, but quite often when looting corpses/containers, picking up a pack of cigarettes will cause the game to freeze and die. I know smoking is bad for your health, but this is ridiculous. :confused: It only seems to happen with this item, too. Any thoughts as to the cause of this? Active Mod Files:

My gaming PC is a P4 3GHz w/2GB RAM and a Nvidia FX1500, with Win7 installed. At the moment, I'm getting about 2-8 FPS at best. Before I go utterly mad, is it worth considering changing to XP to improve my framerate? Active Mod Files:
