  1. Hi guys For my mod I'm trying to make a quest which is like the Fort Strong quest. The player boards a Vertibird which takes him to a location, and then orbits for a while until the player kills off all the enemy NPC's, after which the Vertibird drops off the player. Does anyone know how I would do this? I've looked though the quests in the CK and they are pretty vague.

  3. Hello For some reason CK won't let me change the day or night settings. If I change the time of day in the properties menu then it won't change in the ender window, the lighting will just stay the same and won't change. Also I can't see the sky while editing in the CK as It no longer shows. I used to be able to but now instead the sky is just grey.
  4. Hello I've recently noticed a problem with the creation kit recently where some static landscape models appear invisible. At the moment it seems like It's just a problem with snow Nordic buildings or statics. For some reason they seem fine in game but when I try looking at them in the creation kit they are invisible. I tried pressing F5 to see if that solves the problem but nothing happens. Below is a picture of the problem. Does anyone know why this is?   7. Thank you, some of these composers I recognise but I'll look into the people I haven't seen yet. This is the same mod with the Wizard, I'm not quite ready to show it off yet to get interest (There's a few things i need to Iron out.)   8. Hey everyone I'm currently working on a Skyrim mod that is heavily reliant on narration and an Immersive atmosphere. Because of this I'm looking for someone to compose a soundtrack for the mod.   9. Hey guys I'm trying to make a quest where the player is asked to find an item for the quest giver. When the player picks up the item it shows that the quest objective is completed, and the player has to return to the quest giver. Also how would I go about getting the player to find multiple items to bring back? Any ideas how I can do this? I tried copying just the amulet part of the official creation kit tutorial but It won't seem to work?
  10. Hey guys I'm in the middle of making a Skyrim mod and I have ran into a problem. Sometimes when I press shift enter to create a paragraph the Enb menu comes up. This time however I think I accentually ticked an option in the ENB menu which has caused my lighting to change. Here's a before and after image.   11. Looking for a voice actor who can fill the role of an old wizard for a narration mod I am working on. The wizard will possibly be a Dark Elf or a Nord. I followed this tutorial exactly down to the letter and yet I have ran into a problem. When I try out the pillars in-game they won't move at all, even when I turn on the leaver. Any ideas why this is happening? Here's the tutorial I followed:

  14. Hey guys Yesterday I saw this tutorial on how to add videos or credits to your mods using the creation kit. Following the tutorial I tried to enter the code in the Papyrus Fragments section of the quest stage, which is shown below. However whenever I try to compile the code I keep getting this error. I'm not quite sure why this error shows up but whenever I attempt to add a property to it using the properties tab I keep getting this error: Does anyone know what is causing this or how to fix it? Here's the Papyrus Fragment I used which was shown in the video.
  15. Thank you, this will be handy for the future. I found out the problem though, it appears I had an old data file still installed from when I was learning how to use the creation kit. Once I removed it the problem went away. Which explains why I couldn't find the quest name in my active file.
  16. Okay I think I've found the problem, when I click on the ... the subtitles say "I am a pretty apple pie." Which I can remember is from a tutorial on how to make NPC conversations. I must of made the quest and didn't set the dialogue to a NPC, which caused everyone in the game to say the line. The only problem is I can't remember what I called the quest, and I can't seem to find the tutorial video that told people to add that dialogue line in.

  18. Ah thank you, It seems I was going about it the wrong way. Thank you for helping me again. I have a slight side question though, how am I able to disable conversations with some NPCs like city guards?
  19. Hey guys. For a mod I'm working on the player can talk to NPCs to find out more about what is going on. In some cases I want the NPC to keep on talking about something, without the player having to say anything for a few sentences. I have seen this done before In Skyrim so I know It's possible. But when I try to do it myself It keep coming up with "..." when the NPC has finished saying a sentence. I leave nothing in the topic text for the sentences that I want the NPC to segway away from and onto another by himself, am I doing something wrong? Also while I'm on the subject. When I talk to some people that don't usually have conversations windows in the game it only comes up with "..." and nothing else. How do I fix this?

Most of the code makes sense but I am pretty new to all of this, If I'm correct in thinking, should just be able to copy and paste the code but change the names of what is being activated. For similar situations? Yep. Explanation of Controlvars: I simply added a small variable (I called it Controlvar, but it can be whatever) that was originally 0. When you walked through the trigger, it checks to see if the actor walking through the trigger is the player and if controlvar is 0, which it should be originally. Once the code activates, the controlvar is set to 1, so the trigger no longer does anything (it no longer passes the check). Hey guys thanks for helping, after reading what you said I looked up how to make triggers and found a tutorial that showed how to make objects appear. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQvM520pyjo I followed it and retrofitted the trigger so it played sounds instead and got the narration to work, while also editing a script that I found from here. http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/topic/4785-trigger-scripts/ Although I have encountered one problem. Every time I enter the trigger the sound file plays again over the current sound file, how do I make it so it only plays once and never again even when the player enters the trigger again? So for example the player will only hear the sound play the first time he enters the trigger and never again in the entire game, unless he reloads an old save.   23. Hey guys, I'm thinking about making a mod that relies on a narrator telling a story in certain areas. I'm curious about adding a voice narration that plays while the player is making his way though a dungeon, or other areas, how do I go about doing this? I tried Googling how to make one but found nothing. In some dungeons in Skyrim you can hear a voice over come from nowhere when you enter certain areas, especially in the Ansilvund dungeon. Hopefully should be able to make a narration or a voice that doesn't come from a character in the creation kit. Any help would be much appreciated.
