Alright Striker, thank you for your help. I think I will install the Construction Set Extender, if it has some good additions I figure it's probably a good thing to download anyway. I appreciate your help with this.

Ok, thank you very much. I think this is exactly what I must have done wrong. I had no idea that I couldn't use assets from others mods in mine as I have seen many mods that list requirements for their own. Is there any reason I should use the slightly more complicated version over just using the construction set extender, I checked it out and it seems perfect but I just wanted to know if there were any issues.

Ok so I recently have started using some companions and for a while everything was going good, I ended up adding more companions and have started running into some issues with them fighting among themselves. I usually just fixed it by upping their disposition to eachother with the console and knocking them all out. It is starting to happen more and more so I installed a mod that adds rings that stop their holders from getting into fights with other ring holders. I couldn't give this to my summoned companions from midas magic though so I figured hey why not just make it so they spawn in with one. I went into the construction set and set about to make a mod that changes the ebony atronach and pumpkin atronach to spawn in with these rings equipped. I saved the alternation as a seperate mod incase I screwed anything up unintentionally, now when I go to try and load up the game it crashes immidately when i try to go to the main menu screen (it still loads up to the point where I can see the bethesda logo and others. My game works perfectly fine, but when I added my new mod to the bottom of the load order it now crashes this way, I can't imagine such a small change would cause a problem that crashes oblivion before it even loads up a save. Could anyone give me some insight on what may have gone wrong?

If anyone has any idea how I might go about figuring out how to edit my save like that, I would be more than willing to give it my best shot. I'd really like to be able to do this quest if at all possible, another idea I had. Would it be possible to simply copy the quest and all it's contents into another quest and then remove the old one and use that new quest since the game won't have data on me completing it?

Alright, I tried the first one out "player.sqs" and I got a message saying "syntax error player.sqs could not parse this line" I tried the setstage command on my current quest stage and it appeared to do nothing so I tired "setstage ms38 8 0" and I got a message that said something like expected end of line. If there's a chance I'm just doing something wrong I could post a screenshot if that would help.

Unfortunately I don't believe that "resetquest" is a valid script for oblivion. I found that it works in skyrim and fallout but it appears they never implemented it in oblivion. I have looked everywhere and I can find no information regarding resetting quests for oblivion with that command. I only found post that mentioned that with skyrim and I found it on the fallout wikia but nothing for oblivion. :( I have tried it multiple ways and nothing seems to be working. Is there any workaround I could do with modding to move the quest stage back to the start? That is possible that the game is keeping a memory of the quest though the quest itself shouldn't be running any longer as it comes up in my completed quests list even though I never got around to progressing it at all. They just started saying glarthir turned up dead and I have yet to be able to get glarthir to start up the quest again.

It still says that the script cannot be found, it's the general message for when I input an invalid script. I'm not sure if I'm just inputting something wrong though. I have to go for a few hours but i'll try a few more things when I get back. Thank you for helping me with this.

Thank you for you replying, I tried the script out in the console and it seems "resetquest" doesn't work. Is it intended to be used only in the CS? The start quest and stop quest commands seem to work but don't seem to change anything. Paranoia is still registered as a completed quest, what exactly is it supposed to do?

I have an issue with the paranoia quest where apparently Glarthir got himself killed. I started his quest a long time ago back in the beginning of the game but I figured I would wait to finish the quest so I could get more gold. Now I went back to Skingrad and everyone's saying he died... It shows the paranoia quest is finish in my journal but there are no new entries. I tried resurrecting Glarthir and teleporting him to me with the console but he doesn't even acknowledge i'm helping him with the quest. I tried to create a simple mod that removed all traces of Glarthir's quest from the game, save then turn off the mod to try and simulate what happends when you reinstall a mod. It did not work and as soon as I turn off the mod everything goes back to normal. I am at a loss as people say there isn't really a way to reset a quest but surely there must be some way. If the quest turns on a series of flags or something wouldn't it be possible to make a mod that reverses that? I know this may seem like a lot of fuss over something rather trivial but I am quite a completionist and If there is anyway I can finish this quest I would really rather not have to leave it like this.

If no one knows a way to fix this issue, is there anyone who might be able to help me to remove the quest or tell me what to look for in the script that completing the quest might have triggered? I would really like to be able to use this mod but I have no idea how to modify something this complex.

Well it appears to be an issue with your textures. I am unfamiliar with that "all natural" mod but if it alters the textures for the Imperial (at least I think that's the imperial) It may have been installed incorrectly or there could be a conflict. Try deactivating it if it alters any class textures or if you're not sure. Try and make a character and see if that still happends.

So, I have been running Oblivion just fine with lots of mods for a long time now, no conflict issues. Then I went and decided to try out the Midas Magic story, astral plane quest. I go and beat that no problem, I save a lot since the enemies are very annoying in there. I can reload my saves just fine... I activate the great crystal or whatever with the 5 prisims. Then I go up to the top of the astral plane hub and go activate the gate. I try inputing one of the passwords to warp into a different plane. I use the one for the tar world and end up in these caves. No problem yet... I walk up to part with the tar pit and tar fiends. I save before I go down there since i figured this might go badly and it sure did, they had too much health so I backed out and reloaded. Now from here on it crashes whenever I try to load up a save after beating the astral plane quest. (after i activate the great crystal), before that is fine. Also it works fine whenever I don't use OBSE. I tried disabling the mods in OBMM and that fixes nothing! Disabling Midas Magic fixes all the problems but of course I would really like to use this mod as I found it very fun, it's not worth all my other mods though. It appears to become incompatible with OBSE once I beat the astral plane quest. I found a topic a while back of someone who had a similar problem to mine. He fixed his problem by uninstalling some mod that alters the magic system or something. I don't run that mod and I am very frustrated, I have been trying to figure out how to fix this and I just don't know. If anyone can help me get this mod working again I would really appriciate it. I tried removing all my omod files (except for Midas Magic of course) and deactivated all other esp files including offcial plugins. It still crashes when I try to load a save with the OBSE launcher.
