  1. Sounds like some good ideas. Personally i was thinking about the smelting too - just currently too lazy to put any real work in without tools (since we can already make more recipes) :P I like the idea of a dragon sinew bow. More to the point; some extra cool dragon related killers. Personally i still use an ancient Norse cold two-handed axe to finish off my dragons with a cinematic. In reality it would likely gain some personality/names from that; and in Skyrim - likely some abilities. Extra powerful bows made from the sinew of dragons sounds like a classic story already :D
  2. Oh. My. God..... I'm physically ashamed to say this....but... Why is the retro theme tune so damned catchy!! :'( ...where'd I leave my Katana..... Try convince Bethesda to add a "-retro" command to Skyrim for old times sake :P? Shame they were founded 1986; would be an "awesome" 20 year anniversary extra :L
  3. Cheers mate. Though I'm the one that posted that link xD
  4. He meant it in the sense that much of the game (UI for example) has been made to work best/mainly with consoles - rather than PC. Considering game files also hold Xbox, PS3 and PC files; it's practically a port/copy from Console to PC; he's not calling the PC a Console mate ;)
  5. AKA - http://www.modsrus.com/wiki/doku.php?id=dow2:formats:gfx
  6. However the pop-up menu (Missions, Settings etc.) is in a .GFX file which we can't currently edit.
  7. Yeh; GFX is used for the core parts of the HUD; quest_journal, hudmenu, racesex_menu, safezone, textentry, tutorialmenu. Rest of the interface can be edited through .SWF files (http://www.swftools.com/tools-details.php?tool=4666653156 OR http://www.swf-editor.com/downloads/ <- 2nd one good for finding what to edit in the free one aka the 1st link). Would very much like to be able to edit .GFX if anyone knows how.
  8. Small world xD (and why would i read your post?....o.0) I did wonder yesterday...maybe for some gay reason the game is actually displaying the keyboard A, not the Xbox A? I'll try that quick... Edit: Nvm... Edit2: Alright we got all the right icons showing up on the Controls part in Settings now - by editing Data\Controls\pc\gamepad.txt - but no new icons ingame or menus.
  9. I'm using MotionInJoy - so i can use a PS3 Controller as an Xbox controller (which most things have support for). People complaining a lot about the games UI; but it's extremely nice and fast to use with a controller - totally not designed for PC. If you have an "Xbox" controller plugged in, the game automatically switches the icons (Enter = A, Tab = B etc.). The game files include PS3 icons; but as far as i know, Windows doesn't support PS3s - you can plug them in and it will see it etc., but nothing works.
  10. Would i be correct in assuming that to edit the interface I just need to throw a file into Data\Interface? Currently trying to replace the Xbox360 controller icons with the PS3 controller icons that came with the game (since im using MotionInJoy). All I'm doing is exporting the ps3_a.png.dds etc. files from "Skyrim - Interface.bsa" (this all works out), renaming them to 360_a.png.dds and placing them in Data\Interface\Exported. No changes appearing in game. Tried replacing the 360 related .txt files with PS3 ones also, but no luck (Data\Controls\360). Any ideas? Also anyone else interested in this when it's working?
