Spells must occupy either the left or right hand, as shown in just about every video. This is another balance feature.

1: the imperial dragon armor in oblivion looked like sh**-please keep it out of skyrim
2: The Improve dragon armors twice as much thing as a perk doesnt make sense if you cant get a dragon armor to begin with to improve it.
therefore, you most be able to get dragon armor somehow in order for that part of the perk to mean anything.
You've got a point. So, you probably will be able to acquire it by other means than smithing, you just won't be able to max it's potential improvements.
-
It also allows you to improve armors twice as much (I think the same goes for weaponry) and could possibly be a good source of income. I'm not sure if there are any other means of acquiring dragon bone armor, but even if there isn't, I'm cool with that.
It's also possibly convenient for when you're having a hard time finding a specific weapon type or armor piece.

Happy to help. http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/thumbsup.gif

I think I read some time ago that there was some facet of how Steam is being implemented that won't interfere with the script extender or modding in general. I hope that's the case for when I can get the PC version.

I joined the Nexus for the mods at first, then I tried out helping people with their mod problems, and eventually after viewing the Beth forums, I decided that these forums had a far better layout. People debate here every now and then, but it's usually about silly stuff (which I've cut back on), so I'm fine with it.
Plus, people here are sooooo good at gathering information about stuff and actually help eachother. We've been on top of Skyrim. http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/dance.gif

Just confirming for ya, as far as I've seen(part of the 1-h tree)-
Dual Wielding Perks: Dual Flurry (0-2 points possible)- Req Skill Level-30 Dual Wielding attacks are 20% faster Dual Savagery (1 point possible)- Req Skill Level-70 Dual Wielding power attacks do 50% more damageThose combined with the fact that you can enchant both blades makes it a viable build option. Nate pretty much answered the guy on the first page. Balance is up for debate, but I'm not going to. I'm satisfied with what I've seen.

I asked this some number of weeks ago, but there's no difference between these two books content other than the digital info included in the CE guide, right?
-
Conjuration would be viable as a main skill if you focused on bound weapons. I think atronach summoning is great for support and depending on how many enemies you can revive with the necromancy spells, necromancy could be a pretty sexy option (armies of undead chickens=fear in the hearts of you foes).

I was curious about a certain perk in the restoration tree...
There's a perk that says, "Wards recharge your magicka when hit with spells." What are these wards they're talking about? Also, restoration totally works for clerics and paladins now, which I'm thrilled about.

I'm pretty sure that once you use a shout, you must wait for the cooldown to be up before you use any shouts, including the one you have active, regardless of level. Could be wrong, but I assume that's how it works.
I'm not sure if anyone read my post, but werewolves were the "spoiler" that I mentioned being excited for however many pages back.
Important stuff: Next Friday people. We have about a friggin week before we get to even hold our game boxes in our very hands. After taking a peak at some of the skill tree info, I've got so many builds that I want to try now!

Though the relations between Daedra and Aedra have already been stated, I'd just like to clarify in shorter terms-both have powers of epic proportions, both can be considered gods (as they are considered by many in the games). Really, they are just beings of higher power that ended up owning different realms after warring with eachother.

I'm 19 and grew up with the Nintendo and the Super Nintendo (I got A Link To The Past and Earthbound when I was 4, been gaming since), as well as various 90's cartoons (including the Power Rangers and Dragonball, where the "cheesy/awesome" kamehameha originated). I remember using floppy disks in elementary school and thought that VHS was complicated in a cool way (but then DVD revealed that VHS was just a hassle). I love 80's and 90's funk, specifically the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
This thread probably should be moved to the general forums.

You just found me a new desktop background. That is very awesome. The PS3 needs a screenshot function....
-
One specific "spoiler" (that I won't mention and is the only one that I had to see) has piqued my interests in the game again. I had to go out and buy GRAW 2 to keep me occupied, lol. At least I know this game will give me something to do until Friday.

Just a little more prolonging the not dragon smashing hour everyone will experience.http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/pinch.gif

Is anyone else pissed that DST is making Skyrim come an hour later? Stupid George Vernon Hudson...
I guess that's one reason I can be glad about having to switch to PS3.
DST is "Daylight Saving Time", and affects all consoles. ;)
I was under the impression that this would have a more adverse effect on Steam (which is what I thought he was disappointed with....).

I have no doubt, since all the game is really doing is temporarily giving you a bow that has an item address like any other item. In Oblivion for instance, all of your weapon abilities worked with conjured weapons.
Pretty much, you're probably able to play a character that conjures bows as a main source of offence.

I'll play each race at least once and I usually go Altmer for pure mage. Hopefully they adjust the mana regen so that races with an affinity towards magic will have an advantage with it, just as I hope melee oriented races will have the advantage in close range combat.

I wish I could watch that video right now...
I actually can't wait for Minecraft's official release. Playing now just feels so empty. I'll have to mod it to be like Skyrim.http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/biggrin.gif

I personally would never, ever go with Alienware. For about 2/3 to 1/2 the price, you can build your own with the exact same parts, no joke. They just mark them up a bit because they can, so if affording a computer is the issue, don't go with Alienware...especially a laptop, which will be far more pricey and far less quality just for the convenience of portability. Not worth it if you ask me. But it's not my money. :P
I think I've had this discussion here a few times before. I don't plan on building an Alienware desktop, it's a laptop that I'd get. Their laptops are high quality portable machines and I haven't seen another brand that makes a laptop comparable to them. On their laptops, that's money well spent as far as I've seen.
-
I plan on getting either an Alienware laptop or building my own desktop (I'd rather have the Alienware for travel purposes) in the future. There's all sorts of aggravating things about my living situations currently that make using a desktop not feasible, though. I'll be fine. I just look forward to getting the game, regardless of the fact that I may not be able to play it much.

I forgot to mention that I bought Oblivion for the 360 first and did everything that I could do with the game (which included getting into areas of the game you wouldn't expect to do with the console version). I have no problems with playing the vanilla game. Problem is I had plans for the PC version and it's simply a dick move of my brother to pull when he knew that I had plans. There's also the fact that he'd rather pirate the PC version, which I definitely don't want him to do.

Will smithing be useful?

Maybe if you tell other people not to use it, they won't. http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/biggrin.gif
Or you can make your armor unique by putting warrior sparkles on your armor. Theres lots of colors.
