I don't understand why anyone would use it - it makes all the men look like body builders who walk unnaturally. That may be fine for some specific NPCs, but all of them? Why would you use this? I get it's better for custom animations, but the benefits are far outweighed by the drawbacks of, you know, looking absurd.

Can someone make a mod that replaces a party member from Trespasser with Solas's trespasser model? Preferably Vivienne or Dorian. This is of the utmost importance!

[LE] Become Jarl of Riften
AccursedSniper replied to AccursedSniper's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
Hi there, me again. Playing Skyrim again, so hoping someone can help me with this. -
I don't quite understand how to use modders' resources and assets properly. I can get them into the creation kit and all just fine, but if I uninstall the mod they came from, they disappear from my own mod. How do I resolve that dependency?
-
I wasn't sure whether or not to post this here or in the Mod Requests forum, but I settled on here because I have at least some modding ability and a good idea of how this is going to work. The thing is, I do need some help with developing the actual quest and how to give the player the proper status and ownership of Mistveil Keep. Essentially, you have to complete the Civil War, be Thane of Riften, and complete the Thieves Guild questline. Whoever is on the throne, you'll need to undermine Maven's power. This will involve sabotaging her businesses and investing in her competitors around Skyrim. Basic quests. Once that's done, you'll need to expose her illicit dealings. Everyone knows she's corrupt and does evil things, but everyone's afraid of her power. Once you've undermined her business, you can go about convincing people it's no longer in their best interest to support her. Mechanically, this means obtaining a series of notes and testimonies, present them as evidence to people who have supported her such as Jarls and other prominent citizens like Erikur. These testimonies will include her deals with the Thalmor and her orders of murders. Essentially, you're destroying her public image. Really, all this questline is is picking up some notes and talking to some NPCs. One way to end this is to say, because of her traitorous deals with the Thalmor, you can have her executed under the authority of General Tullius or Ulfric Stormcloak. Another way is to simply have her removed from power and have her assets seized. If you sided with the Stormcloaks, we can say either Laila Law-Giver is removed from power for allowing Maven's crimes, OR we have to convince some citizens that we can run things better and have her voted out of power. That, we can discuss. But I do need help making this mod a reality. I've never made a quest mod before. The few mods I have made, I never published. So if anyone wants to help, please let me know. Either you can do the mechanical stuff, or you can just teach me how.

I'd like to make a mod to remodel Riftweald manor in Riften and give the player ownership, but I'm wondering how I can do that without breaking the existing quest. I suppose it's similar to obtaining Severin Manor in the Dragonborn DLC, but this will also remodel the house in question. So how do I accomplish this?

In the Northern Cardinal mod, you get a ship, can decorate it how you want, can recruit a blacksmith, and can recruit people to join your crew. Are there any similar mods like that? I know there's a guild starter, I'm just hoping there's more out there.

[LE] Big Quest Mod Help
AccursedSniper replied to AccursedSniper's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
Thank you very much for that :) -
Hi. I have a big idea for a quest chain mod. I want to say it's DLC sized, but it's not quite THAT big. It's fairly long, but it's mostly simple. The real thing I want to focus on to set this mod apart is the story. I'm a writer, and I can build areas with the Creation Kit, but I'll need help with getting the quests and new NPCs to work. I should add, it should be totally voiced. I can handle that part, and the writing, it's just a matter of making the quests. To give you an idea of what I'm thinking of, it's kind of what the Civil War SHOULD have been. It's a new faction/guild, but it's all within Skyrim, so no new lands or anything, I'd LIKE to use a fair amount of vanilla locations, but you'll have to tell me if that's possible. Message me or reply here if you're interested.

[LE] Creating NPC Scenes
AccursedSniper replied to AccursedSniper's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
I've tried using that exact one, but I found it difficult to follow. I might just be stupid, though... -
Hi, is anyone familiar with making NPCs speak to each other? Or just having them say lines specifically when prompted without entering dialogue with the player? I've found one or two tutorials but they aren't very easy to follow. I'm hoping someone can walk me through it step by step.

Hi, I'm in need of some armor inspired by Dragon Age Templar armor. It doesn't need to be super detailed - Even a retexture of some vanilla/mashup armor is fine. It'll need to be male and female, but you can decide whether it's super heavy or light. For a basis, I'm thinking Steel Plate, Dawngaurd Heavy (with pauldrons), or Blades. If you want to go the extra mile and make the armor from scratch you're more than welcome to, but I know how difficult that can be and it isn't necessary. All I really need is armor that looks like it would fit in with the Templars from Dragon Age. Can anyone help me out?

[LE] How many Masters?
AccursedSniper replied to AccursedSniper's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
Really, it's just for me. I don't plan on putting it out on the nexus. They're Skyrim, Update, the DLCs, 2 big quest mods, Race compatibility, dwarf race, magic duel, and Apachii Divine Elegance. I realized later that I probably could have gone without a few of those, but it's too late since the esp requires them all in order to load now. I'm just hesitant to add any more masters on top of them for fear that the mod might stop working entirely. -
Hey, I'm making mods and I'm running 11 Master files, including Skyrim and Update. I'm worried about adding more. Is there any limit to how many Master files I can safely run for a single mod?

I've been looking for a good archery animation replacer for quite a while now. The vanilla one where the archer is hunched over on their front foot is hideous. Not to mention the fact that the drawn bow doesn't even point the same way the arrow is going. The only one I've found that comes close ot what I'm looking for is Pretty Combat Animations, except there are no turning animations for it. So unless you stand perfectly still, the archer will default back to that hunched over position as he/she turns, and then snap back upright when you stop. That's even worse than the vanilla animation! Sorry if I seem bitter about this, it has just frustrated me for a long time. Does anyone know of a good one, or know how to make one? (Bonus if it doesn't require the xp32 skeleton, because that makes men look ridiculous).

Hello. I'm not exactly new to modding, but I am having trouble figuring this out. Essentially, I want to be able to simply make and initiate a scene between 2 or more npcs. Either with a spell, a button, or even the setstage console command. I don't need to make a full quest with objectives and such, I JUST want to make the dialogue scene (not with the player). I don't even (necessarily) need to import any voice files. So long as they're "mouthing" the lines, I'm good to go. I know it involves the creation of a quest and the npcs, but every tutorial I've found either doesn't include this concept at all, or else goes through all the other parts of building a quest that I don't want to do, so it's hard to follow along. If anyone out there would be willing to walk me through this, or even point to a good tutorial that deals with this specifically, I'd really appreciate it! Once I get the hang of the essentials, I should be able to take care of the rest.

I know the basics of the Creation Kit, but I'm trying to grant 2 powers from the same source. I can make my own spells and powers, and I can make spell tomes (although, I now realize I never tried making a single tome for both powers. Would that work?) Well, I'd like to make it so you get the powers from a new doomstone, shrine, or quest reward. I have not been able to figure out how to do that.

Project Reality - Climates Of Tamriel Realistic Water Two Seasons of Skyrim - Summer Edition Sharpshooters ENB Enhanced Lights and FX RS Children Overhaul Those are all the mods I have that affect graphics.
-
That because the map renders in real time. I advice to use a lighting mod. RCRN, lighting overhaul, enhanced lighting and fxs. Normal Skyrim is bright imo. I DO use Enhanced Lights & FX. Would it help to see all graphical mods I have?
-
Okay, an update: Now, Skyrim is insanely bright. Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful. But sometimes a cave will be dark in one place yet bright in another without any (noticed) light source. Outside, and on the world map, it's so bright it's a tad blurry. Even at the lowest brightness setting, this is the case. I'm out of ideas.

Maybe I'm an idiot, but that seems a bit complicated for me. I will do that if I can't find another solution, and I thank you for sending that to me.
-
Fought with my computer for hours over this. Maybe I'm just an idiot, but I can't figure out how to uninstall my ENB. Let's start from the beginning. I have Sharpshooters Enhanced Graphics ENB and I want to change it. I looked up how to remove it, couldn't find anything. So I looked up an installation guide and tried to reverse the process by deleting all the files that came with it (advise given by the author of the new ENB I wanted). Did that, including the .dll file, and it worked...sort of. After I did that, Skyrim became black and white. Not completely, I could still see a little bit of red and green, but it was incredibly faint. So I restored the deleted files and tried again. I tried keeping the .dll file, keeping specific other files, nothing worked unless I had them all. So I was left with the choice of keeping Sharpshooters or letting it be black and white. I obviously chose to keep Sharpshooters. That was a few days ago. Today, I was trying to do something in Skyrim and I had to adjust some display settings. Without knowing better, I hit "Restore defaults." That, somehow, disabled Sharpshooters completely. I couldn't hit the button to turn it on and off, it's like it wasn't even there. Yet when I checked, all the files were still there. So I tried searching again for how to remove an ENB. Found a thread were someone gave the specific files to remove (one of which was called sunsprite.fx, which wasn't even there). Did what he said to do and, guess what: Black and white again. If I were to guess, I'd think it's something in the enbseries.ini file (Which reappears even if I delete it). Would deleting the files and just installing the new ENB fix this? I really am out of ideas for what to do. Could someone please help with this?

Hi, everyone! I am starting a new series to showcase mods and I would really like your opinions on it. I know it's not very good right now, but that's why I'm doing this. Please comment and let me know what I could do to make the series better. I don't expect to get many subscribers right now because it does kinda suck at the moment, and I don't really do much other than explain things this episode, so would really just like your thoughts and opinions.
