  1. Hello everyone, I have a question about mod installation and patches. I want to use Sound of Skyrim (the wilds, the dungons and civilisation), Climates of Tamriel and Realistic Lightning Overhaul. I knew there were some problems with SoS and CoT, but I read people use both of them, so I checked the SoS patch files and became really confused. Sorry if that's been already answered, I searched the forums but coudn't find a definite answer. So, the Wilds and Civilisation are easy, they only have CoT patch, that I downloaded and will be using. SOS Dungeons, on the other hand, has patches for RLO (I didn't even know they conflicted), and there are three of them: SoS - The Dungeons-PatchRLODungeonLighting.esp SoS - The Dungeons-PatchRLODungeons.esp SoS - The Dungeons-PatchRLOMajorCityInteriors.esp Should I use all of them or choose one? As for Dungeons and CoT, there's only: SoS - The Dungeons-PatchCoTHardcore.esp Does it mean only CoTHardcore (I guess it means hardcore night settings?) is supported, or that only that version need a patch? Do I need to switch to hardcore nights to use CoT with SoS dungeons? Has anyone used those three mods together and can guide me through all the patches & stuff? I'm using Mod Organizer, so I don't overwrite any files. Sorry if that's a noob question or it has been answered already, then just give me a link please.
  2. Hello, I've got three clothing questions, hope you could help. 1. The robes 2. The hat 3. The outfit
  3. I'm curious what the hair mod and the pose are
  4. Hi Ewa... Thanks for the comment... :D At the moment, I really don't know, how I will continue with the Imperial/Stormcloak-story... But, I promise you I work on it... :D
  5. Ok, here's my problem: whenever I try to edit an NPC existing in game or add a new one, I am stuck with one default skin color that is a little dark (like tanned imperial or somehow fair skinned redguard). All seems normal in CK, but later in the game the changes to skin color that I made have no effect. Same goes with lips color. I am using SKSE and texture replacer ("beauty faces" mostly). Does anyone have an idea how to fix this bug?
  6. I had a SKSE plugin that allowed stacking soul gems, the file was called "smart souls" but it was named differently here on nexus. I search the page for "soulgems" etc, but can't find it. Any help?
  7. I really like the first hair. I hope youl'll get the help, it would be a great waste to the community not to see those pretties in game :)
  8. The College questline. It leaves so many things unfinished that I was actually quite suprised it's the end. In the expansion, we could 1) learn what the hell this eye of magnus actually was 2) learn more about psyjic order 3) learn more about the accident that caused the destruction of Winterhold
  9. Hi! The Magelight spell is a great tool to manipulate lightening ingame, as it allows the player to put the source of light anywhere he wishes. Unfortunately, it's quite unfavorable, deadly white kind of light. Could someone change that into a warmer sort of light, like gentle fire/candle effect?
  10. There is a mod that does it to Lydia on nexus, http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2329 but it tends to be buggy (she goes around naked sometimes). I have no idea about a mod that does it to all followers.
  11. Wow, it's such a great topic. Since the Skyrim came out and I've played it for a couple of minutes, I became a great Thalmor-hater. They are arrogant, evil people who wish genocide to all other races. I hated them a lot when seeing how they spy almost everywhere (college, solitude), murder worshippers of Talos, etc and nothing can be done about it. So my character grew to be a fierce enemy of the Aldmeri Dominion, killing every Thalmor on sight, and somehow sympathising with the Stormcloak rebellion. Hell, I thought Ulfric was the only romancable guy in the whole Skyrim. So when I first read the "Thalmor officer romance" idea my initial response was something along "every traitor collaborating with Thalmor should die!!" But then I read some more, and gave it a thought or two and became quite obsessed with the idea. Yeah, they are the ocuppant-nazi-like-faction, but then, there IS something alluring about those Thalmor uniforms... And also being a Breton noble refugee my character feels a bit lonely with all those Nord plainsman, so a handsome, cunning, educated Altmer might be an option  So now my mind is all around "I want an hopeless romance with an evil Thalmor officer in those damn sexy robes!" Ok, but there are some things to consider: How the questline would be affected by the choices of the character and progression in Empire/Stormcloak war? I see a GREAT potential for drama here, and we all love drama, don't we? The characters would be so conflicted, we could get this old conflict of "duty vs love" of a sort. I haven't finished the War Quest yet, but I guess if the Stormcloaks win, the Thalmors in Solitude and Marakath are going away, aren't they? So there is a problem of how do we situate this whole questline so depending on different character choices we don't get nonsense. That might be though. One idea is to set the whole love story during the War Questline, but again, it limits many choices of the player and by the time the mod is out probably most of us will have the vanilla quests solved.
  12. I really enjoy the new look of elves, Bosmers and Altmers are perfect for me. Distinct, but pretty in their own way, and they don't look like stereotypical fair, noble and beautiful race... which they are not :). I feel the Dunmers are a little over the top - they look too rough and thus ugly, females especially. On the other hand, what Beth did to Orcs is just great - they are still very "orcish" but don't look just dumb and some of them are cute in a sense..

  14. As for gender differentiation in game, I don't really see that happening. It could be possible among NPCs, but when it comes down to player character, I think it would be despised because of limiting choices. Or maybe some will say "an interesting solution, hmm.." but then the first mod to come out would be "male can be breton witches patch" or "female priests unlocked". The reason D&D, Elder Scrolls and many other games are more or less gender neutral to the extend of biological improbability is not some feministic insight or any other worldview issues - it's simply appeal to the wider audience - most of the players would like not to have any options cut out because of their gender choice.
  15. I like the idea, but I don't think it's that necessary. I understand the urge not to play the Mighty Hero - usually in TES games I play my "main character" through the main quest as well as some mage-related and random quests, but when I feel a need for a different style of play (like: a hunter) I make a second character who is just a commoner, doesn't do the main quest and just does the questlines that I skipped in the previous game (like companions or fighters). In Skyrim it's quite easy to skip the MQ, I mean - don't go to Jarl in Whiterun, and that's it - the world will never know you're dragonborn. I know that it's not a perfect solution but I just fear that this mod that you are proposing could break a lot of things in game and be incompatible with some future DLCs. There was one or two mods of that sort for Oblivion and I remember that they messed with my game a lot :(
