After 100s of hours playing this game and after killing many nugs i got my first nug feet drop but in the flooded caves - deepest tier, in the room before the stairs that lead to the cave exit, not the one i entered through. Theres three nugs in the corner by the planks and rubble - you have to be quick. I suspected for a while that some research only drop in specific locations.
  2. In this play through i started the Winter Palace dance with 76 approval i got 10 approval twice and 4 twice, that makes 28. But after all the cut scenes with Leliana etc i have 86 approval ?. So i tried again - exactly the same, what gives with this bugged sloppy game.
  3. using chain lightning on some wolves i inadvertently hit the druffalo from the quest where you return it to redcliffe farm - but did so before i had the quest, the thing goes down to 1 health then no more, spent about 5 minutes with all 4 characters letting rip with eerything, and this druffalo chasing us on 1 health, then i figured it out, bioware could have made that druffalo non attackable they havent even bothered fixing the mosaics in Hinterlands
  4. thanks io got 1 in hissing wastes then the game started telling me to return to the trainer i ignored it later got a 2nd games still saying return to trainer so i did and the trainer game gave me rift mage upgrade but i never crafted Tome of Rifts i had however already crafted the recipe for the other 2 specialisations
  5. I have Nvidia 660 had problems removed uninstalled nvidia experience and uninstalled the 3d drivers seemed to help

  7. Ive played over 800 hours of this game and been through the exalted plains a number of times, getting the venatori tomes a number of times as well. this time theres a problem, no venatori in the exhalted plains ive cleared all the dead pits and so on what could have gone wrong
  8. auto center camera seemed to help i also figured that internet explorer seemed to crash a lot while i was in game so i got rid of it and installed chrome seems better now thats not a suggestion chrome is better by the way
  9. someone explained it if you bash a locked door with warrior or mage it relocks after leaving the area thanks anyway
  10. you have to uncross the change box after changing an item or it will change the next item you select to whatever is in the change box i think ?

  13. use cheat engine buy respec amulet reassign respect as one of the amulets of power ( main, Cassandra, solas .... ) works fine
  14. I have used Mage skill Stone fist and warrior skill shield bash to open locked doors that do not require the deft hands skill. Is this a bug, because in a new game I used Cassandra to successfully shield bash open a locked in the Hinterlands, later went to Haven then back to the Hinterlands. The door was once again locked. I tested this and could open the door with shield bash but it returned to locked on leaving then returning to the area. Later I exited the game completely, on returning to the game Cassandra could no longer open the door with shield bash. Anyone got any ideas, which is the bug - being able to use shield bash to open a locked door or not being able to.

I wouldn't use all the schematic's anyway - so what's the point, I've used cheat engine to add thing's I want and I have to say for me it make's playing unfulfilling, it just becomes a chore then. How about a mod that made the Dragon's your allies, your could sit on their heads whilst they fire breathed Darkspawn.
  16. Yes locked doors are a problem, but the stone fist talent allows locked doors that don't require deft hands to be opened. Other than that there's not many locked doors that require deft hands so I just pass them by and go get a rogue for a few minuets then go back to my 4 mages. I generally have 2 mages with a fire staff and 2 with cold ( all maximising critical chance - seer staff, Dragon blade, MW hilted staff) and prioritising energy barrage. I was surprised when I started experimenting with this formula how effective it was, Gurn's just disintegrate as do those big wart hog/ rhino things and they slaughter Giants, compared to the time I used to spend hacking away with warriors. The chain lightning's only effective when there's more than one foes as it's main power ( I think ) is inpassing the damage on, I'm not sure about a few thing's with chain lightning. Is the damage to the second target greater the stronger the primary target, and does it rebound. I've seen chain lightning pass from one to two to three to four foes, when there's four mages each targeting a different foe and of course the stormbringer is coming down ( stormbringers pretty effective in certain situation's ) anyhow it's just not possible to work out what's happening in the chaos. I'm now also wondering if combination's of fire, cold and electricity have hidden effect's. I'm also thinking about the potential for scoring critical hit's with chain lightning used by 4 mages, I would imagine the arcing hugely increases the potential for critical hits. Especially when seer staff, dragon blade and mw hilted grip takes you easily over 50% critical chance. Some target's must get hit by arcing from other mage's primary target's. so if 4 mages and 4 target's each target has the chance of being hit many times.
  17. I don't like killing any of the animals, except spiders. IO wish for a game where you join forces with the animal kingdom ( inc dragons ) to fight the baddies. That would be cool choosing different types of animals for different tasks. Flocks of crows, lions etc, imagine that !
  18. I most enjoy using 4 mages, I find warriors a bit slow, the sheer range of mages is great. Anyone else tried this 4 mages each with a chain lightning ring ( they do work contrary to some stuff iv'e read on the net ) each mage also having the CL upgrade and Stormbringer. Targeting Venatori or Templar. Making sure to use tactical so each mage targets a different foe, I love seeing the mass of bolts that gets produced zipping between each foe. And then Stormbringer comes down finishing off anything left. Id like to count them sometime, each mage can get 6 hits with the upgrade, so in theory if each hit gets projected by the target to those nearby that's a mass of ricocheting from 4 mages.
  19. Yes I am using a controller. The Mod you refer to doesn't actually disable the loot action in combat though so it wont make a difference.

I find in combat I may move to an area where there's a herb or something else on the square ?, maybe it can't be seen because of combat, so i'll want to jump press X and bend down to pick the item up. It also happens when running say you ome to a rock and press jump and bend down to pick something up that hasn't shown because of running or whatever. Is this not a common problem ?.
  21. I wish it were possible to develop a Mod that disabled pick up loot while in combat mode / while weapon is drawn. It spoils it a bit when I try to jump out the way and end up bending down to pick up a herb.
  22. I'd like to see the support class get the BattleScanner and have some sort of sneak ability at a cost to arms and health but with increase movement and possible greater sight range.
  23. Ive looked at it, yet to find the time to become familiar with it, does it allow more ability slots, I find having all 12 abilities active for each class really adds to the enjoyment of the game. I wish there was a way of sorting soldiers by class.
