I have had no luck either. Part of me wants to convert my music to xwm format and repack them in the bsa file... And the rest of me think thats a lot of work that im not sure how to do -

You have put your music mod as close to the top as you can, right? This is the only thing that has been reported to be successful so far. I intend to try it as soon as i get home, and see how it goes. Fingers crossed... -

Have you had success with the load order thing? I tried but still crashed after a few seconds of walking around solitude. I will try again tonight. I also plan on creating a separate plugin for each playlist, so i can change explore and town and battle independently -

Soo. Is bethesda actively fixing bugs/taking bug reports? And is there a way to add new xma files? I get the feeling im just going to have to wait for a fix on this one. -

Every time I go to edit my previous music mods, the kit hangs upon saving. Yesterday i gave it more than a half-hour in the hopes it was simply taking its sweet time, but no luck. I end up starting from scratch each time i want to try something new. Do you think the File Path issue is causing us trouble? Someone earlier on said they had some success with actually getting some custom music playing by manipulating load order, but I have yet to have any success with anything. I will continue to brainstorm as I have been, perhaps pooling our ideas will eventually lead to something significant. -

Hi Jimmy. If the load order really is the issue here, and I am still not 100% that this is the root of our problems, then perhaps there is a way to change the FormID of our music. If we can edit that, change the 01 to something more desirable, perhaps we can tell Skyrim to look where we need it to. Also, help me out with this one, I have something new. I just opened up my music mod, and looked at my imported music tracks again. When i right-click and go into edit, the Choose File path where we select where to find our custom tracks is blank. There should be a filepath directory there, but it apparently has not saved. Is this happening for anyone else? Because this is pretty clearly a problem for me, when Skyrim goes to load up my music, it has no idea where to look for the song on my hard drive. -

So far, I've been erasing all the default music in TownTest, leaving only new tracks to be played. This may be helpful to you if the game is skipping your music. Make it so that the game must choose between playing your music, or playing no music at all. (At least for testing purposes. I understand the desire to keep original music in the playlist for the final version of your mod.) -

Well now. My creation kit has been "saving" (crashing) for about 30 minutes now.... so I'm just going to let it run its course for tonight and see what happens some other time. But before I hit the hay, I want to share my thoughts on a possible solution for all this trouble. I know relatively little about modding and the creation kit, but my foray into the G.E.C.K. and Fallout 3 taught me about load order, which is something I want to talk about here. First, a quick overview of what I understand. Or don't understand. There is a distinct possibility that I am completely wrong about all of this, in which case, you have permission to openly mock me. ANYWAY, load order. Everything in a Bethesda game comes with a hexadecimal tag such as 0052A478, or anything resembling that. The important thing is the first two characters, 00. This number identifies it as having to do with skyrim.esm. The next mod in your load order (for me it is update.esm) consists of its own data, and everything it adds starts with 01. All mods in your load order are listed in ascending order according to that rule, meaning that if you have 38 mods, your 38th mod would add hexidecimal data such as 385D921F. If I am correct about this, then I have to ask/wonder why every time I import a song, its hexadecimal number starts with 01. My instinct tells me that i may have better results if i perhaps rearranged my mod in the load order, to be directly under Skyrim.esm and therefore the 01 defining my music would be correct. The game would then successfully find my music in the 01 mod in my order when it goes to search. Is this a valid idea? -

Looking at the playlist MUSTownTest, all the tracks listed have conditions associated with them. Although I don't really expect it to work, I'm going to emulate those night and day conditions on my new tracks and see what happens. Will post results later. We WILL figure this thing out. -
I have looked into this further, and have come to the following conclusions: The startup errors are normal, and bethesda acknowledges them and will probably fix them in the future. For now they are presumably harmless. The saving issue stems from using multiple monitors. I don't know the details but for anyone interested, start up the kit with only a single monitor in use, worked for me.

I'm at my wits end with the CK already. When i start the creation kit, I import Skyrim.esm and am greeted with a rush of errors, which have been posted here: http://pastebin.com/kN5dL5ar I have extensively searched the web for others who have found this problem, and nobody has found a viable solution as far as I am aware. Multiple people on the steam forums have suggested that these messages are harmless, and that they can be ignored. I am unsure whether these errors are related to my real problem; the creation kit does not allow me to save. When i go to save, as the tutorials on the CK wiki ask me to, I receive a warning message stating "You must close all open Dialog Boxes before saving." I have again spent an extended amount of time on google searching for others with this problem, and I seem to be the first since the G.E.C.K. Even then, no solution was ever mentioned in the forums. I am positive i have no dialogue boxes open, I have not even tweaked a setting after loading up the master file. Before you ask, I have already completely deinstalled and reinstalled Skyrim and the CK, hoping that starting from scratch would solve some intermittent issue. It has not. I have simply run out of ideas short of begging for help on the forums. Anything you guys can give me is greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance. :)

question about archery zooming
greenmachine8885 replied to greenmachine8885's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
actually over the past hour or so i have been testing different ideas, and i am rather confident deadly reflex 6 is the culprit. dropping the deadly reflex reset hourglass from my inventory resolves my issue. deadly reflex 6 has not really been working for me, but i have ignored it until now because whenever i deactivate the OMOD, oblivion refuses to even turn on. however, i can play without any real problems for now, so im just going to wait until the next update of DR and play my heart out for now. -
hey, just hoping someone can help me out with this. recently installed a bunch of mods and worked out just about every bug on my own. the only problem that i havent been able to resolve is a problem with the zoom function that comes after becoming an expert or whatever in marksman. what happens is that i nock an arrow and pull back, and then when i press the right mouse buton to zoom the arrow gets instantly fired. i feel like there are two ways to resolve this. the first way is to find the source of this bug and fix or eliminate it. i have tried unsucessfully for the past few hours to do that. the second way is to figure out what the key binding is for archery zoom, and map the zoom to another key. unfortunately, this has also proved to be beyond me. does anyone know how to change the key binding for arrow zoom, or can you possibly offer other advice on what i should do? Thanks in advance...
