  1. Did you change anything in the Skyrim launcher for gaphic settings after setting the INI file? Because if you did you may want to recheck you INI and make sure shadowdistance didnt jump back up to 8000. At 8000 the shadows are blocky, flicker, and render badly on faces.

I find the best shadows settings to be: iShadowMapResolution=4096 iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=4096 iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=4096 fShadowBiasScale=0.1500 iShadowMaskQuarter=4 iBlurDeferredShadowMask=4 fShadowDistance=4500.0000 I have experimented quite a bit here and if you make the shadow distance lower (1000) they will only render about 20ft in front of you. 4500 gives a good distance and leaves them fairly sharp. iBlurDeferredShadowMask around 4-5 will soften the edges of the shadows and give you a nice look. You may want to experiment here.
  3. Opinions are like a$$holes everyone has one and their so eager to share, causing the whole world to stink. You could have easily been more tactful about discussing with him that his choose of main board was bottle-necking his PC without being a complete jackass. I don't know, like explaining why it is and offering a good quality argument to your "opinion" verse passive aggressively calling him a dumba$$. This is why I don't usually post but lurk. stevosn95- The pictures are pretty nice, I've done the same with my game as well and it improves the visuals quite well. You can also up the render distance of the grass from 7000 to 20000 look for these in the skyrimprefs.ini [Grass] fGrassStartFadeDistance=7000.0000 fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance=7000.0000 change to this [Grass] fGrassStartFadeDistance=20000.0000 fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance=20000.0000 20000 seems to be the max, performance hit for me was negligible, but your mileage may vary.   4. Didn't really ask for your opinion on my motherboard. I've been building computers and gaming rigs for 18 years... so, I quite familur with what a bottleneck is. This isn't my main board for my gaming PC, this is a board I used for my budget home Theatre pc. My Asus P7P55D Deluxe burnt up last month and I haven't bought a replacement yet becuase I'm thinking for jumping to a 1155 setup. But then again i'm sure your the expert jumpimg on my ass about a "waste of good money" guess my setup is complete s***. lol
