  1. Can you like, you know, take the demo home?

Edit, actually that was a stupid question... I looked at Camonna asking to save a spot and I thought they were actually copies.

  2. You know, not seeing your legs in first person is actually quite good to be honest. I don't know why, I just prefer not seeing my feet. Might be because I can focus more on the battle if I have to look down?
  3. No classes or attributes you mean.

The Guardian Stones, as explained in the demos, will help you level up the skills you want, e.g, warrior, mage, or thief. In simpler terms, it will speed up chosen skills progress by 30%.

The removal of classes breaks the boundaries leaving everything up to you, allowing you to shape your class as you progress the game, instead of having to do it at the beginning, leaving you mad if you realise that you made a bad choice 3 hours later.

I didn't see much point in attributes... and it was also not practical in Oblivion. "Oh, I can level up to get +2 on speed, but I won't, I will continue running until I can level up and get +5 instead." Besides, skills matter more than attributes.

Skills have perks. For example in the QuakeCon demo, Todd went into detail, showing off all of the Block perks. For example you reach Block 20, then you level up. You can choose a perk when you level up. So you chose the appropriate Block perk. Or another example, you level up and put a perk into One handed weaponry. You mainly focus on daggers and archery, so you want to maximize that. You put a perk into, say, higher dagger damage instead of 1 handed sword damage.

  4. But in reality it is, making the Nexus look bad. I mean I talked to people on the 360 and other places and they heard of the Nexus and said it was infested with Female nude mods and such.

I was watching a YouTube video of some game... Someone mentioned The Nexus, and yes, everyone called it a twisted place full of nude mods, etc. I personally have to agree with that. It was even worse when I joined, people posted completely nude/wrong images before they were restricted.

  5. I can just imagine what is going to happen when all those nudity mods come out.

    You should have acted.

    They're already here.

The Nexus Sites told of their return.

    Their ban was merely delay

Til the time after Oblivion was modded,

When the sons of Skyrim would spill their own blood.

    But no-one wanted to believe.

    Believe they even existed.

And when the truth finally dawns:

    It dawns in modding!

    But,

    There's one they fear.

    In their tongue, he's Dovahkiin:

    Dragon Porn!

  6. I would kill that damn fox that is chasing after the bunny just like I kill that mudcrab outside the sewers in Oblivion.

What about you? How would you start the game? Would you explore, or hang around in the inn, picking up rumors?

  7. I loved the Oblivion's lockpicking. I hated the Fallout's. It was too easy, and the fact that you can't attempt to open the lock if your skill is too low, well, that sucks. I wish that they make the lockpicking quite hard, but let you attempt it at any level.
  8. Yeah, more technologically modern. That's it.

Oh and I think Skyrim will have more console commands than Oblivion + Morrowind together. Obviously commands such as "closeobliviongate" would not be in Skyrim. What I also wish is for the console mouse pointer to be left in. The console was probably the only thing that was quite entertaining in Oblivion.

  9. Attack direction is already in the game.

So you can choose where you want to swing your sword.

It might be harder to crate something like Deadly Reflex since the combat system was overhauled, and it already is much like deadly reflex.

If people make Deadly Reflex, it will look a lot better. Not that I will use it though.

What I wish for is, actually, the game to be good enough so I don't have to mod it like Oblivion. I can't blame anyone though, Oblivion was there as an experiment, rather than a game. I'm going to play through Skyrim without any mods.

  10. Khajiit, Dark Elf, Imperial, and Nord. Those are my highest candidates. I have a feeling that I will start as a Nord or Imperial. I will try to focus my character's skills on magic and one handed blades. However, I will try as a fully magical, or a thief character. I always thought thieves were fun. Magic looks improved in the game, too.
  11. Steam = Digital distribution that you choose to use.

Steamworks = DRM that forces online registration of physical retail purchased games and prevents their resale.

Ah, so it's like a security measure. Ok, thanks.

  12. Some are confirmed, here's your list.

    Broken down merchant caravans.

    Random Dragon encounter. Confirmed.

    Bandit Ambush/Dark Brotherhood Ambush.

Some guy falling out of the sky with an overpowered Acrobatics Scroll.

Environmental Events (Avalanche?) would probably eat up resources T.T

Getting pickpocketed in towns If you drop something, they would possibly react to it.

    Getting mugged in towns Confirmed.

Bar fights while in bars Confirmed.

    Finding Murder Victim/Suicide

Attack by Adoring Fan I hope.

  13. I've read somewhere that animals as companions are available. There is even a screenie of a Dark elf with a dog. So the question is, would you have pet companions?

I probably would, but I wouldn't take it into dangerous areas. My dog would sit at home most of the time. Or I would go for a walk with it around towns, villages, etc.

  14. I am quite amazed that you can create characters like this. Yay for no more clay mannequins of Oblivion!

    Also,

thanks. I hacked his website and got the high res version

This is going in my sig if you don't mind!

  15. Witcher has a linear storyline, right? I'm not a fan of games like that. Some are good, but others, well, not really. I don't really care that it has better graphics or stuff. I would prefer Skyrim, as it is an open RPG where you can do as you please. When I played Oblivion the choices you could make, the type of weapons you could use seemed a lot to me. Skyrim promises even more freedom.
  16. For now Terraria with its 1.0.6 version. I restarted again, since a lot of things have been added. What I can't believe is that how hard the game is compared to 1.0.5!

I was also playing Humble Bundle 2 and 3. VVVVVV is probably the best game in the third bundle, followed by hammerfight.
