  1. I cant provide screenshots now (away from computer), but the first I ran Skyrim on medium to see how it would run, I then put it up to Ultra and 8 antialisiasing, also some simple ini tweaks.... no textures improved at all. Even if bethesda didnt promise a texture pack, they promised to "melt my face off". Which they didn't. I have to admit, people, weapons, and small items look amazing, but that's probably all...

Snow doesn't have anything to make it look like snow, its just a plain white texture for me. Sure, remembering Crysis' snow, I didn't expect it to be near Crysis, but I didn't expect it to look like paint either.

Large trees, especially the ones with Mushrooms on them, like ones around Riverwood, look like morrowind's trees from around Seyda Neen marshlands, with around the same quality textures. I noticed that when I was trying to collect mushrooms off them.

However, on the positive note I only found 1 floating rock near alchemists shack, rather than 100 of Oblivion like out of place forest glitches. Gameplay wise this is a great game too.

  2. It looks like I can safely say that Crysis is in the top graphically realistic games, even 4 years after its release.

The Witcher 2 looks great with ubersampling, looks better than Crysis in some screens, too. What about its physics? Do they work as well as Crysis' ones, for example, grass/leaves move out the way when you walk through, cloth physics too?

  3. I see loads of this "Dragon" hype. It seems for a lot people this is what Skyrim is about, especially the new people. I can't blame them - They might never had played another TES and this is their first one.

So, are you excited for dragons that much, or one of the other aspects of the game? For me, it's what makes TES, TES, exploration, combat, rich environments, quests, cities, and mods. Dragons are like 10% of the excitement for me.

  4. I have a HD 6770, I think. Yeah, that's it, costed £80. I can play Fallout 3 with 8x anti-aliasing + NMC's texture pack on maximum. The only problems I experienced were when I spawned loads of things to fight each other, like 75 ghouls on 3 deathclaws. My limit was 750 radroaches in 1 place, but it could still run it. I will try a 1000 but it might freeze.
