I like the new design, but only aesthetically. Functionally, however, the new design is just bad. I'm sorry to say that, but it's true. Atleast with the old design I could get the pages I wanted to quickly and easily. I understand the want, even the need, to update a website. I really do. It's hard to continue to market a product with an old shell. However, there is no reason to update the visual appeal of a website at the cost of usability. What's the point of building a new Ferrari with sleek new curves and lots of horsepower when the driver doesn't know which pedal to push, or when they need to turn the steering wheel left to go right? It's been a good couple of months since we've seen any new armor sets/clothing sets for Type 3. Is Type 3 dead? Are all the modelers clocking to Exnem? God I hope not. I'm a big fan of Type 3, especially since Exnem seems so... sloppy... What I wouldn't give for more new Type 3 armor/clothing...

That'd be the HGEC body resource, but it's basically a dead project. What's there works "ok" but not great, and the author who ported it over from Oblivion won't be working on it anymore until someone makes a new skeleton for FO3, which is probably going to be never.

The hat is actually a hair style. And the jump suit (at least the one I'm thinking of) can be found in the original mod (which I think is currently being blocked by the author) but also in Ling's Finer Things. Both of which can be found in Ling's Finer Things with the Ling's Coiffure and Couture optional package.

Having trouble with downloaded weapons
Ryuukon replied to Blu_Minx89's topic in Fallout 3's Discussion
Start FOMM up again and click the "Toggle Invalidation" button. -
Personally I'm more about style. The way I see it there are plenty of armor mods out there that provide adequate protection, but most aren't very impressive looking. Usually just rehashes of what we've already seen. There are a few that fall into the "Both" category, like the japanese invasion, coyote, and my personal favorite "Sweet Sneak". But most of the time, when looking at new releases for armor, if it doesn't look cool, I won't bother using it.

The problem is in Fook 2, it's a known issue and will probably be fixed next release.
-
Even if this were to implemented I doubt I'd use it. Just because there is a new version of a mod doesn't mean you want to use it. There are many mods that make changes but reduce stability. In the end you're better off experimenting yourself and seeing what works and what doesn't with your "core" mods. Trial and error. Nature of the beast.

Personally if it's just a mod I want to "try out" I create a .bsa file containing all the folders the mod author would want you to move to the Data directory. Usually this will work just fine, and makes it easier to remove later if you don't want to use it, but it can cause problems like missing meshes. Just use FOMM to create the .bsa file and name it the same as the main .esp file included with the mod and you're good to go. Generally though, for compatibility sake, you're better off just moving everything to the data folder like the mod author instructed.

Conversion Request: Buiess Armors for HGEC

Gonna bump this one more time in the hopes someone skilled in conversions decides to take up the gauntlet. -
Conversion Request: Buiess Armors for HGEC
Ryuukon replied to Ryuukon's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Ideas
Anybody interested in doing this? -
Yup, I found it. But the one in the pick is significantly smaller and held backwards... *sigh* Hate when that happens. And I still haven't figured out nifscope or blender...

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/ima...-1246116079.jpg Anybody know what sword that is? [Edit] Hmm, may have found it. Not sure. The one in this mod doesn't appear to be flaming...

Conversion Request: Buiess Armors for HGEC
Ryuukon replied to Ryuukon's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Ideas
Well, I've spent the past 5 hours trying to learn to do this myself but with no luck. Only thing I accomplished (aside from a raging headache) is that it seems you only need Nifskope to convert a model like this. Right? That's all I could really gather from the modeling tutorial with the ashtray example... Ugh my head hurts... -
Was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a conversion of Buiess Armors for HGEC, namely the black leather harness one. That has always been my favorite armor in Oblivion, and would love to see it join the many other Oblivion armors that were converted to Fallout 3. Would prefer this was done with the Type3 body in mind.

Well, I was joking, but of course, like so many, I forgot that sarcasm doesn't translate well in a text based medium. So how bout we just call it good? No harm, no foul.

seriously... just shut up Wow... what's with the hostility? God forbid someone make a comment in an anime style clothing thread about... *gasp* anime style clothing. Jesus... So seriously, no I won't shut up. Why don't you take a step back from this thread instead? I mean, at least I'm staying on topic instead of flaming for no apparent reason.

Final Fantasy Spirits Within Dr.Aki Ross Holowatch
Ryuukon replied to kiloko666's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Ideas
Tossing in my vote of interest on a mod like this. When I saw the hologram pipboy this is exactly what I thought it was. But, since I always play in 3rd person, seeing it on my arm was a real turn off. Hopefully Alexscorpion will take some interest in this idea. I've been a fan of his stuff in Oblivion, so hopefully he'll keep going on this. -
In a semi-related topic, there is a mod for Oblivion that adds armor like that in Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. I can't imagine it'd be terribly difficult to port that over to FO3 as well.

This would actually be very cool, atleast the lockpick tool. I mean, seriously. I have a locksmith friend IRL and he hardly ever uses his picks when out on a job. He uses his pick gun as he calls it. Saves time. I mean come on, he puts it in the lock, clicks it a few times, and makes 50 bucks. Sounds completely logical to me instead of using bobby pins...

This thread existed this long and nobody made mention of the hottest bounty hunter of all time... Iria... http://192.188.244.188/~black/pictures_sec...es/iria_001.jpg FOR SHAME!!!!!!!!! And just to add to the discussion (aside from recomending Iria for mod-hood), I'd LOVE to see more Shirow style power armor with plenty of skin showing, kinda like... http://media.gamerevolution.com/images/mis...r_disparity.jpg ... but better since my google-fu is week and I can't seem to find any of the Shirow pics I remembered. ><

I've heard repeatedly and often how quicksaving can result in bugged saves, and I'm a believer now. Just finished my 2nd play through and it got to the point where I'd consistently crash every few mins. Made it a chore to finally get through Broken Steel (the last DLC I usually play). So now I've decided it's time to look up Save Managers. I found two... CASM and ASU. Which should I use? Which seems more stable and reliable? Do they both actually create a full "normal" save instead of a "quicksave"? Kinda confused on this issue, and don't really feel like borking up another save game. My uh... version 1.5 playthrough died due to a corrupted save, which I think had more to do with the Pipboy PDA mod since after uninstalling it I couldn't get the pipboy to open...

Well if you don't want to use FOOK (not sure why not) there are several mods for nice weapons available. HK PSG 1 Sniper Rifle - Adds 4 different sniper rifles to Moira's inventory in Megaton Vltor SBR - A nice looking and pretty well balanced little assault rifle, also available at Moira's EVE - Energy Visuals Enhanced - Like the mods desc says, if you don't use energy weapons before using this, you sure will after. Does lots of nice things to energy weapons. Wattz Laser Weapons - NOT Compatible with EVE, but it's a smaller mod that reworks the laser pistol and rifle into something more viewer friendly than a blinking breadbox. And I'll second Weapon Mod Kits. It's an awesome mod that really brings to life a lot of the vanilla (and DLC) weapons. Just be aware that it doesn't mod any weapons but the vanilla ones unless you get FOOK2 and some of the FOIP compatibility patches.

RE: alaric_ Yeah that's pretty much the same thing I do as well, then I double check the file structure again after the .bsa is created. I know it's using the write file structure. RE: BadPenny and nfckitten That's too bad. I've spent the past day storing everything into their own .bsa files (and I do mean EVERYTHING) and it makes things soooooo much simpler, cleaner, and easier to find. The only things I haven't been able to store in a .bsa file are things like Darnified UI, some armor and body replacers (no .esp to call them), and EVE. But I actually realized I didn't need EVE anymore since I added FOOK Beta 1.2 (which btw I also managed to get into a .bsa with no problems). So now I've got nearly 5gigs of mods, with only about 100megs in my textures/meshes folders. It's kinda nice. :)

Yeah I use FOMM too for making BSA files. In fact over the past few hours since my original post I've made BSAs of every mod I use, including MMM, but no matter what I do I simple can't get a BSA of EVE and EVE OA to work. No idea why... I just really like having everything in BSAs, it's so much easier to keep organized especially when you start having a LOT of mods like I do.
