  1. So after some more searching and digging, I was able to find a solution to this problem! It's a post by SzyjeCzapki on The Witcher sub-Reddit.

    (...)

First time I log in to the Nexus forums in nearly a year, just so that I can express my most sincere gratitude to you, Object279, and the previous other kind souls who provided help.

I followed the explanations, it worked, splendid, thank you! ^_^

(And, for the context, I combined the mods to have more than one talent per level, with the mod removing the dark visual effect from Dark swords - I was ending up resorting to Cat potions in every cave otherwise.)

If the link may help, as Gibbed's original mod has disappeared from the Nexus, the new link would be:

    http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher2/mods/768/

It's really great there's a community like that, when we need help. Thanks to everyone :)

  2. Hello!

First time posting about feedback, I hope I won't break rules of some sort :)

I have the latest stable Nexus Mod Manager, version, and I found one thing that would do well with an improvement, hopefully that shouldn't be something too complex to implement: preserving load order positions.

I'm in the case where one of my mods is behaving abnormally (occasionally, my stamina bar keeps on falling even though I'm not doing anything anymore, when it reaches zero I see the regeneration being prevented by the stamina leak, sometimes it will need as far as two real minutes before the "leaking" ends and my stamina is allowed to refill), and I need to find where it comes from.

For this, I find myself turning off a mod, launching the game, checking if the problem is still present, returning to the NMM, reactivating the plugin, restoring its order in the load order, deactivating the next mod...

If only the Nexus Mods Manager restored by itself the position of the mod in the load order, that would be a most precious time spared :)

I imagine that cannot be made default, since, after all, if a mod's position is bad, it should by default be placed at the bottom. But, perhaps, make it an option, for those of us who are confident our order is good already ?

  3. Hello!

I wonder if I could ask you for advice, if that's not asking too much

You see, I would like to make a backup of BOTH my Skyrim game, and my Nexus Mods Manager information.

At the present time, I know that a backup of Skyrim requires to save "c:\Program Files (x86)\The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim\*" and also "C:\Users\Sabin\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\*"

If, some day, my hard disk dies and I want to play Skyrim again, I can simply restore those two folders from a backup, and I'm good to go.

... however, restoring those two folders will give me a fully working game, BUT I will not be able to use the Nexus Mods Manager to activate or deactivate mods anymore, isn't that right ?

(This "isn't that right" is an open, earnest question, I am not sure)

And in that case, would you know which additional folders would require to be backed up ?

I have the Nexus Mods Manager program installed in "c:\Program Files (x86)\Nexus Mod Manager\Skyrim\*" : would that be that one ?

Or would another important folder have to be added to the backups ?

I would be tempted to backup everything and call it a day, but file sizes matter, too ^^

My "Program Files" Skyrim folder is 18 GB large, my Nexus Mods Manager folder is almost 6 GB large... My saves folder is half a gig... I'm not even sure I'm not forgetting other important folders... So, I don't want to make mistakes and regret it later, let us say

Thanks a lot if you can give me your opinion on it, if I have the proper folders, or if some huge folders can be left out to reduce the size of the backup
