  1. So at some point I apparently installed something I shouldn't have and now Boone and Arcade's faces are messed up, specifically, their cheeks seem to be much larger and their lips are fatter. Their eyes have also become much smaller as a result of the cheeks being so large. What's strange is that it seems like they're the only one's affected. All other male characters seem to be just fine. As a result, I'm not sure what files are causing the problem. I tried renaming meshes\characters and textures\characters so that the game would load from the .bsa. Didn't work. I have a backup of my meshes file from several months ago (don't know if the issue is also present there) but I would like to narrow down the possible source of the problem before I go copy pasting. Are there specific files relating to NPC faces that I can access? I can post pictures of the faces if you want, but I think that playing around with Boone and Arcade's specific files will eventually solve the problem.
  2. Long story short, I got a little carried away with replacer mods and now my character's body, face and animations are completely out of wack. I didn't backup my original folder and now I don't know what to do. I have the steam version. This is probably a bad idea, but would deleting my entire characters folder, then verifying my game cache reset the folder to the factory defaults? If not, what other options exist? I have a ton of other mods installed and I'd like to avoid having to delete and redownload all of them.
  3. Yeah, Yes Man just takes whatever you give him and then transports his AI to another body. As soon as you leave the area, he's back.
  4. Thanks for the quick reply. Definitely looks like saving him is the only way to go. I'll make an extra save and test it out when I have time. Just some more wishful thinking on my part: it's actually not too difficult to completely lock yourself out of an ending quest. You'd think that since Yes Man can't die, (unlike the other quest givers) and isn't faction associated that Independent Vegas could be the forced choice if you screw everything else up. That and fighting NCR AND Legion at the Dam would be one hell of a fun fight (depending on what you're definition of "fun" is).
  5. Been looking around and haven't found a definite answer to this. I'm aiming for an independent Vegas with my evil character, but I kinda want to help Caesar's Legion out until the big surprise. If I complete the Caesar's Legion quests all the way up to killing Kimball, am I locked out of the Wild Card ending? I know Yes Man/House say it's better for Vegas if Kimball lives, but you'd think you'd still be able to claim Vegas for yourself regardless. Wiki says you have to complete "You'll Know When It Happens" to progress in Wild Card, but I'm just wondering if that is 100% necessary to progression. I know there isn't but it seems to me like there should be two versions of No Gods, No Masters: one allied with NCR and one allied with Legion.
  6. I'm a noobish modder too but I managed to figure out how to remove the helmet (your edit about the list was right on). In the GECK, open up the edit page for the stealth armor. In the bottom right is a drop-down called Biped Model List. ArmorChineseStealthList should be the default. Click the edit button next to it and hit okay when the pop-up appears. A list will come up showing the components also involved in displaying the full suit. The helmet should be # 0. You can remove the helmet by simply single clicking on the helmet line and hitting Delete. Just to be safe, you can also change the ID at the top and save it as a new list, so you have one list with the helmet and one without. Then, back on the main edit page, you can choose which list you want when loading the armor. Good luck with the rest of your mods!
