  1. Right on mate, I'll be sure to give those a shot. Thanks for the heads up.

EDIT: well unfortunately both of those Home bases Intsa-crash my game. took all mods except for them off so see which mod was conflicting, Turns out none of them are, they just don't want to load those bases. Do I need the 4gb mod as well as NVSE to get those loaded? hmmm.

  2. So If someone know of or is willing to attempt to create a player house with tons of weapon display cases I'm sure there would be a lot of super happy Collectors out there. As a collector myself I like to find all the unique and rare items in the game and put them on display in my player house of choise, Currently the Sink from OWB. But the houses I find have only one flaw, Not enough display room. I love all these houses that have storage and massive floor plans, but I'm not just gonna toss my guns and armors on the massive floor. I want them to look nice, I wanna hang the weapons on the walls or in weapon racks like "the Collector's house" on the Skyrim Steam workshop. http://Steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=13870 check that page out and you'll know what I mean. Walls covered in Weapons plaque and weapon racks, Floor populated by Display cases and pedestals... I love that house, If there were a NV version of that house I'd download it, favorite it, endorse it, and recommend it to everyone.

I know that there's some sort of coding that keep things from being permanently fixed to the walls. the Game's Devs hung stuff like Hunting rifles and BB-guns from the walls but as soon as you touch them everything around them just falls to the ground. I'm really hoping someone has already figured out how to do it or is willing to give it a try. Even if it's just a house with a huge trophy room filled with basic shelves I'd be happy as long as I can put them on display without fear of knocking them off of a table or something every time I walk by. If I had the time to create it my self before FO4 came out I'd do it but I'm horrible at coding. I love the NMM system for simplifying the Modding for simpletons like me who seem to wreck everything they try to do themselves.

  3. Hey all. I'm seeking a male body mod but olny seem to have found one or two. there has to be more then that. if anyone has any good links or keywords to search with please let me know. Thank you all.
  4. Well then sir i salute you. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to helping others. I admire that. I'm gonna keep this thread going though, easy access. If some one wants to Oversee the page scrivener07 created for us, I'll updateing this thread at least every thursday. Much Love All.
  5. KofN: Knights of the Nine, an Oblivion expansion pack

Sorry, I typed it wrong. It should be "KotN".

TSAG: Teals03 Stacked Against Gravity (Armor/Clothing) *Skyrim* --caution: massive breasts---

Good choice of warning label.

R18Pn 07: ???? (Torumekian Armor: nausicca of the valley of the wind) *Skyrim*

I've done some digging, and R18Pn seems to be the name of an Asian mod author. R18Pn may be the same person as KURESE, or KURESE may have ported some R18Pn's work; their names are often mentioned close to each other, and I haven't been able to determine the difference yet. Their work goes back at least as far as Oblivion.

    And here's more terms:

Thanks again for keeping up the list!

Thanks for the corrections and additions. Now that I'm so used to skyrim, everytime i see an oblivion mod i keep thinking "man how did I not notice how ugly those faces were?" --- "Because at the time they weren't stupid"

  6. By the way i want to thank everyone so far for help make this list. It's looking good. I've been wandering through random files in my spare time just looking at the names or descriptions for Acronyms to add. not finding many that we don't already have, so good on ya. I'm sure the community really appreciates this, if they knew enough to type in the word "Acronym" into the forum search engine.
  7. No worries, I figured you might tire of doing it as much as anything, especially as the list grows. If you want it doing in future just stick everything in the main post, let me know by PM, and I'll send you it back in PM to copy and paste back in to the main post.

Aaand there's another general 'net one, PM - Private Message ;)

In the immortal words of Wayne Campbell, "Party on Garth"

For those of you who don't know who wayne Campbell is, you are a taint and the only way to absolve this affliction is to watch the "Waynes World" movies. Good Day.

  8. Nice work everyone, this is one of those "why didn't this already exist?" ideas.

Any chance you could also sort the list in the original post into alphabetical order? (Excluding the unknowns which should stay at the top).

Like chevenga I'm also happy to lend a hand with this kind of formatting/sorting thing if you don't want to/don't have time etc

That, sir/ma'am, would be awesome sause. as you've seen I've been just copy pasting in the order they've been arriving. It's so good to see that people are willing to help others less... learned then themselves for the sake of... awesomeness equality? You know what I'm trying to say.

*edit* I had a little time so I did the first round of Alphabetizing.

  9. This topic would make for a good WIKI article.

Agreed, except it would need to be a Nexus wiki and not a skyrim or fallout or witcher or any single title's wiki page. it would make a good sticky too I think. I would make this a Wiki article too... if i knew how.

*edit: or my internet wasn't F*&^ING UP CONSTANTLY*

  10. Nobody mentioned NMM yet?

    • NMM: Nexus Mod Manager (Where the heck is the NMM download page, anyway? Oh, there it is.)

A few more insprired by a quick look through my mods folders and my bookmarks:

And just to expand on tetradite's response for clarity:

    And finally:

    • OP: overpowered, another common gaming term; not be cofused with "original post"

I may come back and post more if I get the energy to look through my Oblivion and Morrowind folders. ;)

Thanks for volunteering to keep up the list! Please let me know if you'd like help with formatting it!

I can't help but notice that for UNP you didn't tell us what the Acronym stood for, could you fix that please... if you know that is.

  11. TOPIC MOVED <---the link

Ok let's pretend like I'm a total Noob for a sec, in fact lets not pretend. I'm seeing all kinds of Acronyms for mods terminology that I have no clue what it means, and I can't be the only one because that would be statistically illogical. Now I've been typing all kinds of Acronyms into the respective nexus search engines only to come up with mods that use the acronym in the description of their own mod with out telling what the Acronym stands for. Now this bugs the hell out of me, that's like explaining to a child how the inner working of a government and assuming he/she knows what all the technical terminology means... and assuming is bad. So Here's a list of a few common Acronyms I found in my wnadering of the nexus' and I thought I'd share them with you. I'll be checking back regularly and updating the OP (original post) *<--- see? that was easy right?* to match anyone who feels obliged to help others around them to better understand the wonder that is the NEXUS network. Also if you have an Acronym YOU'RE confused on put it in a reply and I'll put in in the OP to see if anyone else knows.

NV : New Vegas *new vegas*

FH : ??? (hair mod) *new vegas*

NMM : Nexus Mod Manager (a Mod orginizer) *All Nexus Games*

*edit* an idea came up after reading through some of the responces, thanks guys/girls, I'll start putting the Unknown ones at the top so they're more likely to get answered.

*edit 2*Now Alphbetized (good call Tetradite). That said I give you the list so far:

*edit 3* Thank you all for your contributions to "The List." The only hting i can think of that could make this better is if we knew which games these went to, if they have specific games.

*edit 4* M'a Boy! <--- This piece is what all true warriors strive for. Get it? Link? (whop whop)

  13. I'm having a bit of a similar problem here myself. Now I've been using the OMM and there are three seperate mods I'm trying to use that are pulling the "Load Crash" on me. You know what i mean, Bethsoft logo goes by then the Dragonborn logo is there for a split second and Crash. there are two things I know that I've tried with these troublemaking mods (which will be named at the bottom of this post with links)

    1. export directly into the Data folder which creates the BSA file in the Data files in main menu. Result: Crash

    2. import into the OMM and transcribe into OMOD files (which still creates a BSA on the left screen of OMM for some reason) Result: Crash

now when in the launcher i can uncheck the three troublemakers and all is well.So my primary question is this:

What do i do to get these BSA file to work? perhaps i didn't DL the right file or maybe I'm just dumb, it's a possiblity.

    Here are the troublemakers

    1. Supermodel Skyrim makes the faces prettier (aledgedly)

    2. All Female Guards Derp I wonder what this does

    3. Female NPC hair replacer

  14. So after a good ten minutes of searching i gave up trying to find Raven's Look-alike costume from the famous cartoon/comic book series on the Nexus... because it doesn't exist. The closest thing i found was the several attempts at Nocturnal's Robes. Don't get me wrong, the first time i saw Nocturnal i said "That's awesome... I want that." But of all the crazy/sexy armours and clothing i saw on here i think it wouldn't be too unreasonable to think i might see a DC Raven look-alike. even for a themed set of mods theres only four pieces,

-The pale skin with the gem in the forehead

    -The eeriely straight hair

-a color modded Telekinisis spell (black instead of gold)

-and that cute little outfit she tries to pass off as publicly acceptable because it has long sleeves. (Maybe five pieces if there is a hood up/down option to this one)

Not that difficult i would think, i mean there's light sabers and Zoidberg mudcrabs on the nexus, at least in Skyrim Raven's style wouldn't stick out too much right?

Just a thought, I mean i would do it myself if i wasn't so rubbish at it. I've tried and failed enough times to realize that I'm not meant to mod.
