  1. See http://thenexusforums.com/lofiversion/index.php/t71380.html Anyone know how to remove a permanent effect? My character now has Legendary Chameleon (0) active all the time, making me invisible. I can get rid of it by typing Player.SetActorRefraction 0 at the console, but any time I sneak or load a saved game, it comes back. It's pretty annoying.
  2. That worked! Thanks! Kudos for you. Now to try and install all the other mods and DLCs... is it alright to do that now, or should I start again and install DLCs first?
  3. Yes, I referred to your previous post and followed your instructions there. It still doesn't work. My question is, having done it as per my screenshot above, did this break something? Do I need to reinstall and then rebuild the patch using only "Merge Patches" and "Leveled Lists"?

  6. I'll give that a shot. I suspect it's not the answer though, because Oblivion runs fine under Win7 without FCOM installed. I even tried a bunch of other mods like the Darnified UI, Qarl's, LOD packs and so on, and it all works great. It's just FCOM that screws everything up. In the meantime, since that will take quite a while, any more ideas?
  7. Yep, latest versions. Just downloaded a couple of days ago. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit, nothing has caused a problem so far, UAC and all that has been disabled. Fallout 3 runs fine with about 8GB of mods installed, and it lives in the Program Files (x86) folder.
  8. I don't see anything that ought to cause a problem. Everything in Wrye Bash is green or blue, no indications that any dependency might be missing. I followed the FCOM install instructions to the letter, I'm certain of that.   9. OK, I did all that and it made no difference. It said that only 4 of them were mergeable, but I rebuilt the bashed patch, checked it in the list, ran BOSS and then ran Oblivion - CTD in exactly the same spot. What else is there?
  10. This is a fresh install with nothing except the Shivering Isles expansion and nothing else except the 1.2.0416 patch. I installed everything according to the FCOM guide and manually arranged everything by the basic load order. I also tried using BOSS, which didn't help. The game will crash to desktop the instant the first intro movie (the Bethesda Softworks one) finishes or is skipped. The Oblivion logo and the loading bar appear, and it crashes before the loading bar moves. OS is Windows 7 64-bit build 7100. Game runs fine vanilla (I made a zip archive of the complete game directory after fresh install for troubleshooting). Wrye Bash screenshot is attached. Can I get some help please?
