  1. Basically, it's because Fallout NV is just an expansion of Fallout 3, so rather than making a whole bunch of new models and textures, they reused pretty much everything from Fallout 3.
  2. Nevermind. =C "If you oust McNamara, you will NOT be able to peacefully resolve the conflict between the Brotherhood and the NCR."
  3. I'm siding with the NCR. I've just killed House and now they want me to wipe out the Brotherhood. I was under the impression that Veronica's quest could get the Brotherhood to open up to peace with the NCR.
  4. Well, I've gotten to the point where I can't continue without blowing up their bunker, so I'm hoping that there's a way to fix this quest and still achieve a peaceful solution, because I'd really rather not murder them all just because this game is too stupid to work correctly.
  5. Good news. I went back there today and it worked for no apparent reason! Thanks to everyone for the help!
  6. I completed the Archimedes II thing and got Euclids C-Finder and then brought it to the elder and showed it to him like it said I should. I think I only met Veronica after that and after I brought her to speak to the elder, I did the BoS missions and replaced the elder with the different one and now it shows that "I Could Make You Care" is already completed, with only "Take Euclid's C-Finder to the Elder at Hidden Valley" shown as being done under it. Clearly this is another example of poor mission scripting, like pretty much the whole game. I've been looking into it, and this is apparently an issue that a lot of people had, and they were able to resolve the issue with console commands. I think that if I could unlock the comm station terminal in Gibson's Shack, that would get the quest going for me, but that seems to only be unlockable by Veronica when we're on the quest. I've read that it can be unlocked by a console command, but I haven't found any information related to that. Is there a command I can use to do that, or possibly some more advanced commands to reset the mission altogether?
  7. Sorry for the double-post. Is that the only solution anyone knows of for this problem? I don't understand why I would be the only one who has ever had this problem and can't fix it. Another solution I tried was punching one of them a couple of times until they turn hostile, then unequipping my fists so they stop being hostile, but that didn't help either.
  8. Tried that and when I start the game back up and load my new save, I still can't start a conversation with her.
  9. I've exhausted my ability to research this glitch without seeking assistance. I've read here that there's a glitch where Mags won't speak to you for whatever reason, and pushing her so she has to walk back to her spot or reloading an autosave should fix it. I passed the guns check, I then tried the explosives part, but failed that, so I came back later after I got my explosives skill higher. I told her that I want to try again, so she lined them all up and now she won't enter a conversation. All four of them are there, and I've tried pushing all of them, so they're all lined up as far as I can tell. I also tried reloading from autosave and exiting the game and reloading it. I also tried leaving the area and coming back later, but they were all still standing there waiting. Is there anything that can be done to fix this glitch? Any console commands I can use?
