[Floating head on PC after reloading]

Edit: Sorry in advance, already posted once, but might be in the wrong section, not really so sure whether this is mod or just DA related, feel free to delete if...erm... one of it is in the wrong place.

I would be really gratefull for any help here, or at least some sort of suggestion. Wanted to play DA for a chage, but I have encoutered a strange bug.

When I create a new character, I can play and look just fine, but anytime I reload fro ANY saved game, my PCs head disappears and I get elf-female-preset-1 head floating way above my body (Happens for all female chars, all races, males seem to be working ok tho).

 

 

 

Also, while male characters seem to work just fine, when I play Darkspawn chronicles, my poor darkspawn's head also disappears and the elf female preset 1 appears inside of it's chest with the face looking out from the chest plate, creepy).

 

I really don't know what might be causing it, but my guess is, that some mod conflicts with patch, because last time I played DA, everything was fine, today, I changed no mods, but installed Lelianas song and Darkspawn chronicles (and I guess it downloaded patch along the way).

 

Anyone ever seen that? Any idea what might be causing it?

If anyone knows, I would really be in your debt.

[Discussing the events of September 11th]

Well, I'm sorry to say it, but it's getting a bit tiresome. Don't get me wrong, a lot of people who had nothing to do with anything, excet for livng their lives, died that day and it is, by all means, a tragedy.

 

On the other hand, it's a long time ago, and I find it to be a bit ironic that it's such a big fuss about 9/11 everywhere, yet noone really pays attention to the fact many more people die horrible deaths in certain parts of the word on daily basis or, for example, millions of people who died in WWII - noone really cares apart from "Wohoo, its a free day for some reason!" as it seems. Or, not too long ago, Japan, way, way more people died for no reason, and world already starts to forget as it seems.

 

Of course, this was an "attack" (or so it seems) but how does that make it more tragic than an earthquake or a car crash? Well, it doesn't.

 

I'm not trying to belittle the event, but no matter where are you from, and no matter whether you lost someone or not, you must see that this was made into a political agenda or even advertisement and that's what makes me a agitated everytime I hear about 9/11.

 

If you had a friend, relative or perhaps a nemesis in the towers or the planes on that day, remember them, maybe even light a candle for them, but I still believe you should just honor them by remembering they were in your life at one point, and just keep walking, rather than crying on one specific day. I lost quite a few people too, but that does not mean I will stop moving on and will mention it over and over to make people feel sorry for me.

[Recoloring]

Greetings.

I wonder if anyone could do me a favor and recolor the mentioned armor, namely the jacket, boots and gloves (the light-brown / brahmin colored parts to put it simple) to either dark brown or dark grey/black-ish and the pants to a bit "lighter" color, to look a bit cleaner. I found out I'm totally unable to learn how to create texture maps and the other... "stuff". If anyone could help me there, I would be really, really gratefull and full of fluff.

[Mysterious Woman on DA2 art]

They say SHOCKED. With caps even. How would be Morrigan, Flemeth or "your" kid shocking? I would be shocked... no, SHOCKED even, if it was Anora in her free time or someone from BG/NWN who found out how to travel into paralel universe. *cough*

 

But seriously, no idea, it could be just ANYONE. Check the "preview" and cover art for DAO, I don't recognise half of the companions there... and this will be the same case.

[DA2 hopes and expectations]

I just hope they won't do what they did with Mass Effect. Strip 95% of RPG aspects and replace with FPS/simple action aspects.

Mss Effect 2 is great, but it's because of story and dialogues, not much o a RPG in anyway. Where ME1 was.

[Shields "closer"?]

I haven't seen anything like it, but well, no harm in asking, right?

 

As everyone knows, the shields in DA look a bit weird while on the back (in "peace" mode), as they just... stick to the back of character, while touching the back with only end of the handle. I wondered, isn't there any mod, anything, that would make the shields get a bit "closer" to the character (by stickng the handle trough it's spine I guess, heh)?

[Item mods - not appearing]

Greetings.

Just last night, any time I try to get a new item in game (armors, to be specific), they won't appear no matter what.

I don't know why tho, worked just fine up till now. I haven't changed anything on computer, haven't added any new mods, haven't patched (have 1.2). No changes nowhere, so to say.

Just tryied to activate mod ( Dragon Blood Mage robes) I deactivated long time before to get the robe in my hands again, but even tho the mod appears to be active, the item won't appear in-game.Tryed to install, uninstall, get new download, still nothing. Also tryed to deactivate and reactivate all mods, just to see all mods adding items in-game aren't working. All other things that modify the game in any way still work just fine, simply only the ones adding new weapons/armors aren't working.

 

If anyone have any idea what can be amiss, I would REALLY love you, I'm such a fashion fetish, and I can't live without new clothes and armors.

PS: The new items aren't appearing in both saved games and not even on new, fresh characters. Made both with the DA updater and the modmanager, but no changes there either.
