Well, it seems to be less visually drastic than in the previous games. You will still see wolves, but you'll also encounter Ice wraiths more often, you will always see Draurg..gr..r (never get that one right) in the normal, weak shape, but then also the Overlords on any level... It just seems that some encounters are always there, no matter the level, but the "trash" mobs get stronger with your level and also the stronger versions appear more often.
But yes, also managed to meet Overlord at lvl 9, and let me tell you, it was rather extreme since he could one hit me with both shout and weapon.
Well, basically, you can find anything at any level, but the stronger versions often. Like at the start, Restless Dreurg is rare, but later on you meet scourges and wighs all the time. In thw wild, it seems to be less visible tho.
Well, I'm not sure what I said just now made any sense at all, but point is, there are even things that seem to be given, not leveld, expecially in some dungeons the bosses seem to be fixed and some enemies are always stronger than others, even if they have the same name. Like the Silver hand you mentioned, one can be killed with one shot from Longbow, other takes 15 fireballs to the face and still is at 50%

Well, to be honest, I have no idea what Valstein mod is, tho 99%(random number, but you get my point) of ini tweaking can be redone / undone / reapplied by letting the game generate new ones. If it was only about ini tweaking tho, I believe this would fix it, so any chance something else caused it? Like some performance patches, texture packs?

1. It's the shadows. Terrible quality overall. And yes, they move by a bit periodically, once each X ingame minutes, not sure if it's 10 or more.. And yes, it's normal. Along with jagged looks.
2. Most likely some decorative item (a plate, tankard...) "fell" trough an object while loading the area / game and now is stuck in a weird place such as between wardrobe and a wall. And as it can't move either way, it sort of vibrates...and makes the annoying sound. Also very common and normal. Stops when you tab, because tab stops the time and movement in the gameworld. Not sure about fix, apart from finding and picking up/dragging the object.
3. Delete all the inis, start the game, quit the game, set your graphics again, reapply tweaks.

Big boom > lot of bugs > price drop > patch > famous backward dragons > price drop > patch 2 > price drop > GOTY! > price rises...
Or it's just amazon. Looking around where I live, no price drop whatsoever.

They disappeared into the magic plane along with calipers.
...
But you have to admit, Faltmer are just so creepy and ugly that they are more than just substitute

Lag-double-post, sorry.
-
Yes please, to all points.
As of now, dragons are only nice looking, high-reward easy enemies. They aren't even really dangerous, when the "title music" starts playing, one should get nervous because there is an epic battle comming, not go "Yay, another soul!". I mean, Death Overlord in a dungeon is times harder than a Dragon, but that just isn't right. Dragons should be the most powerfull beings around, not flying treasure chests everyone hopes to meet.
Also, the irony, what about Dragon Priests, they are supposed to be former Dragon worshippers... and yet they are stronger than their "gods" ... Come on...

Well, troll comments aside...
I think it would be quite enough make female model a little less robust, especially in the shoulder and chest area. Now it's basically very hairy nord male with weigh slider all the way to the right. Oh. And a tail.
You don't have to stick 50cm penis and H cups on EVERYTHING, there are other ways. Which isn't the general opinion, looking at Nexus

Counterquestion, what do you get out of complaining? The same as me: Nothing(except for feeling better perhaps), so glass house and everything.
And now I know what I missed in my post, senseless insulting of the other part involved in a discussion, because his views differ from my own, without adressing any of his points, thanks for teaching me how to lead a proper and adult discussion, I will make sure ot work that in the next time.
And to reiterate my point, Steam is not perfect, Steam is not the answer to all our problems, but steam is depending on your priorities good or bad, it just starts to annoy me how anti-fanboys(The exact opposite of fanboy, the thing/firm/person/whatever could heal every disease on earth and they would still complain) rant about it whenever the topic comes anywhere close to it.
If you complain about "bad" things, they may eventually get changed, or, at the very least won't be forgotten (sorry for stating the awfully obvious, but you asked). Of course, that doesn't apply on you, since complaining about people complainig is sort of... good only for trying to make people angry, which is what I suspect you are trying to do. I'm sorry if that's not the case, but let's face it, right now, you look like one of those people who like to make a fire burn brighter.
Edit: For the new respose... Well, there is a opinion and then there is a nonsense. You actually haven't really stated anything, you are just going after what others said. Let's not go there tho. But I'll bite. Tell me some nice pros of Steam for person who has one computer for games and has only Skyrim, or just a few games. You can buy it without actually going in a shop. That's pro,I guess...
And yes, service termination without paying back at any time, terminating account at any time for any reason, also scanning your computer and sending out selected information...And so much more. It actually bacame more funny recently, since many people on Steam attack the "EA Steam" without really noticing Steam has the same EULA with a little bit different wording.

The person with car and security guard summed it up pretty well.
Nope he didn't .. he just summed up that he doesn't like steam, with a pretty bad analogy (Or does Steam block multiplayer?) blowing several things out of proportion, nothing more.
Does Steam drain resources? Yes ... at a magnitude that I don't care about
Does Steam constantly look over my shoulder? Nope ... I don't know what you have but to me it seems Steam is looking if you are logged in once and then only complains that it can't synchronize Steam Cloud, as long as I don't quit steam I can start any game I want(and tried till now) I can remember using Skyrim on the train without going into offline mode and constantly starting and stopping it as I was debugging some stuff ... no problem at all
Yes sometimes the servers are busy etc. but the time I saved with not going to some shop and hoping that it is there, as well as having the security that my DVDs aren't just going to get damaged so I can't continue playing is in my opinion well worth it.
If you like Steam and have no problem with it whatsoever... Good for you, but just because you don't like freedom and having control over your own computer, don't go flashing it around :tongue:If you hate Steam and have problems with it whatsoever... Good for you, but just because you like shuffling around with DVDs, and love praying that none of your DVDs is damaged, don't go flashing it around
Everything has its pros and cons and the only reason I am replying to this is because in every third thread(that is more then 2 sides long) where it is about anything remotely related to update, patch, moding, CK or anything technical you can read something to the extend of "Steam sucks", "Steam is going to steal and sell our mods", "Steam is ruining everything". None of us is going to change anything about it, but it seems it is good to rant about it every now and then, so I am not directly here to defend Steam (although I am obviously doing that too, because people ranting about it are starting to annoy me).
So in essence I am ranting about other people ranting constantly about things they can't change ... and yep I know that is ironic/borderline stupid, but I am human and no one is paying me to be logical.
So rant over, back to being normal.
I think you haven't even read the EULA (I know. "I agree" but sometimes, you might get amazed to what are you agreeing). ... Or been to a shop for that matter.
It drains system resources, not very drastic, but then again, leeches won't bleed you to death either and people tend to not carry them around forever. As I noted, some people like to have control over their computer
And things people can't change? Seriously? This isn't about hunger in third world countries, this is about Steam.
Yes, everything has pros and cons, but the only way you can find Steam to be good is either by being very naive / ignorant or rather dedicated big-time customer. I can see the positive side when you have 50+ games there and 3+ computers.
Otherwise it's just like any other malware. Quite precisely.
And the mods, we'll see about that, I sure hope that all the theories are just paranoia kicking in. Bethesda tends to rape people (even tho not intentionaly, perhaps), but that would be just a bit over the edge.

Not quite sure what are you asking for, deathblow as in the animation, occuring only once the battle is ending (last enemy)?
-
Thing is, they shouldn't have breasts even according to TES lore, so saying "It's not real life, you dumbass" isn't really valid. Just saying.
Also, it says "Argonians" up there, stop bashing Khajiits.

... You go into data and delete what you installed.
Other than that, you can try to get Steam validate your files, turn off Xfire and delete your inis and let the game generate new ones.
On the sidenote, not sure why installing more mods should ruin the game, if you install them correctly. What mods or what types of mods have you installed (SD / SKSE / ENB?) ?
-
That shouldn't have any problems with it, it'll look a lot better than it will on some ageing console and you'll be able to mod it, it's a no brainer.
Time to wheel this out again.
Have I said something about glorious PC gamers? Dirty console gamers?
The games on consoles are simplier. Less complex. Less precise. That's a fact.
Also, this was about TES. Don't you think mods and console are rather significant part of it? What kept and keeps Oblivion (and Morrowind, still) alive isn't that it plays nice with a controller...
Why people always have to catch a sentence and miss the point.
And hey, I have console. Two in fact.
@OP
I tend to not click on links, but after clicking, yes, you are safe and I do believe you will be able to even enjoy the graphics with that.
Well, apart from the usuall Beth-tech-difficulties. And Steam. In both cases, it doesn't really matter whether your computer is great or ancient relic.
-
I had no doubt whatsoever that you meant to be disrespectful to console players. That much is clear.
Oh yes, I tend to be disrespectful about things I have no respect for... Hey, wait a minute, I think we just found the end of a circle. Math breaktrough.
But back to the point, I really don't think there is much of a point in buying Skyrim for consoles, because on PS you can't play at all and on Xbox, you won't be able to do much more than finish it and get bored. But on the other hand, if you want to play trough the story and that's it... It might be actually better to get it on Xbox.
-
Xbox is for simpletons.
I agree that the PC is probably the best (especially because of mods) but some players own consoles for good reasons.
Calling them "simpletons" is simply misguided and disrespectful.
Yes, well, it was supposed to be disrespectful, I though that much was clear.
Misguided, hardly, judmental and unfair to some, perhaps.
Buying Bethesda "open-RPG" game on other platform than PC is pretty much buying a car without engine. Looks the same from the outside, but the difference is rather huge.
-
Well, according to what I experienced in the other categories... small requests often get done, complex and clever request often get attention too... But sadly, most of requests are usually limited to"I wanna like see more Z syzed boobz giv ok?" and luckily never get noticed
...Well, those and requests posted in a wrong time of a day, lost and forgotten forever, in the depths of the Nexus.
-
It's not the latter.
Just not sure if it will notify you about new versions of the already-installed mods and how the NMM uninstall will work, haven't tryed that. As in, you will be able to turn then on-off, but the rest will have to be done manually I guess.
-
There is no CS... That complicates things a bit.
I read the requests, but I can't really do a ... without the Cs, so I can only read. Very... usefull. And people who know how to do more complex ...projects... usually have projects of their own, so... Yeah.
But I'd say people look into request to find inspiration, raher than actually answering them
-
Since you are on modding site... PC. Xbox is for simpletons.
*cough*
Seriously tho, Skyrim with low settings, developer console and modding will always be better than anything Xbox can offer.
-
Well, I'm actually just taking a wild guesses here but... Try player.setrace <your original race>, if it returns your head, check the skills/etc, if that's cool, then use showracemenu and re-set your appearance, then save the game to a new slot and reload it, if it will be ok, it's cool and should saty that way.
If that doesn't work, then write down / screenshot your skills and bars, change race using the showracemenu and, remake your character starting from race and the set ALL the skills and bars to their righfull amout with player.setAV <stuff> <value>.
-
Back...
Well, showracemenu does NOT reset your stats...well... there are no stats, so skills and bars. It does so if and only if you actually change your race, not looks. Freaks like me use it all the time, and all that happens is slight changes like the warpain and skin tone.
Either way, that aside, did the race chance actually gave you your head back or no? If yes, then there could be relatively easy fix.
Also... when you wear helmet or hooded robes, does it return your head, doesn't show up at all or you just get helmet floating above the body?
And I don't really think werewolf can do that, since it doesn't morph parts of your body, but replaces all of it. Do your older saves have the head?
A lot of questions, yes
-
Can happen thanks to god and no-kill mode as well.
Either way, try showracemenu in the console (you don't have to change anything, and it won't change your settings, apart from eyeliners and warpaint), or perhaps rather typing sexchange twice. That usually fixes most of character-looks glitches. Apart from that, no ideas.

No more robes?
in Skyrim LE
Posted
Basically, there are four robes playable by default... Archmage, college/master, <skill level> Robes (3 types, all retextures) and NPC mage robes (black, necro, blue... also retexts)... with console you can add psijiic robes.
Also all gloves clip with all robes. That hurts me the most.
Will be looking forward to anything fixing that, or making new ones from scratch.
