  1. I've reinstalled FNV Ultimate and am going through a problem that I went through my first time playing the game a year or so ago. An NPC will move its mouth and then several seconds later the speech occurs. I fixed it the last time with a patch for Silent Hill from an ENB site, but I cannot for the life of me find it or the directions on how to apply it. I suppose I'm in hopes that a better solution will have been found in the meantime as the patch kept the game from recognizing my graphics card.
  2. Right. The initial problem was that an NPC's mouth would start moving and then the dialogue would kick in maybe five or ten seconds later. The solution I found was a patch for Silent Hill that was posted on the ENB site. I installed it and it solved the problem. Then I decided to upgrade to FNV Ultimate. After I installed it and the dozen or so mods I was using--including the Silent Hill patch--the game no longer recognized my ATI Radeon 4670 card but only an NVIDIA card, which I do not and have never had. Following some advice in another post about the problem perhaps being caused by a rogue ENB d3d9.dll file in my FNV directory, I renamed that file to d3d9_rogue.dll and the game recognized my card, however the desynchornized dialogue was back. Therefore my question has become whether there is another fix for the dialogue problem than the ENB file, which is confirmed to be the source of the non-recognized video card problem.
  3. ...the Silent Hill patch from ENB? My problem is that although it fixed the desynchronization problem, it keeps the game from recognizing my video card. Is there another patch out or some other way of fixing it out there?
  4. Well, that worked as to getting my video card recognized, but it desynchronized the dialogue from the characters' mouths, which I had originally fixed by installing the Silent Hill patch from ENB, hence the presence of the d3d9.dll file. There must be a way to make it all work, right? Suggestions?
  5. What happened was this: I had FNV installed, then I decided to install FNV Ultimate, and when I did, the game no longer recognized my video card but showed it in the launcher options as NVIDIA without the option to select my ATI Radeon 4670. As I said, everything worked fine in the first install, just not after installing Ultimate. I've reinstalled the ATI drivers but to no avail. Someone else suggested deleting the .ini file so the game would have to re-recognize my hardware. Any suggestions are welcome and greatly appreciated.
  6. The game isn't recognizing my video card so apparently I need to delete an .ini file but am not sure about which one or where to find it.
  7. Roger. Thanks. Now if you would direct me to the .ini file to delete I'll be off and running.
  8. Everything worked fine in FNV, but when I decided to upgrade and installed FNV Ultimate, it doesn't recognize my video card. The vanilla launcher (accessed through Steam) shows it as NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT, but my card is an ATI Radeon, the option for which does not appear in the dropdown menu. Please help.
  9. Forgive me if I'm a little thick when it comes to Steam, but I don't know how to do that. If you would explain or just point me in the right direction I'd be grateful. Thanks.
  10. I was about 200 hours in to FNV and had maybe 20 mods, all working well, when I decided to start over using FNV Ultimate Edition with the patch and DLCs. I uninstalled FNV using Revo Uninstaller, which has always worked for me, but not this time: I started the game and there was my old game. How do I completely get rid of FNV so I can start from scratch with a totally new install of FNV Ultimate?
  11. I seem to recall a mod called "STFU" or the like which eliminated merchants' constant comments while selling to them. A search did not turn anything up under that name but I know it's out there, and I would be most grateful to anyone who would identify it for me.
  12. That's the one, alright. Thank you thank you thank you!
  13. I'm trying to find a mod I used the last time I played Oblivion a couple of years ago but now can't locate it. I don't recall if it stood alone or was part of a larger mod. When selling multiples of one item to a merchant, it allowed the selection of one item at a time with a single click instead of the cumbersome vanilla method of multiple clicks. I had thought it was part of Living Economy, which I installed as part of OOO but subsequently disabled as too cumbersome. If someone knows the mod I'm talking about, please let me know. Thanks.
