  1. This has probably been asked a thousand times, but are there any good mods that take out the tediousness of crafting (all three, but especially smithing)? I recently started playing again and I have to admit that crafting 1000 iron daggers just to level up smithing so that I can make armour my level is one of the most boring parts of the game for me. Now, I could just use the console to do some stuff, but I feel I should ask here and see if anyone has found something that helps with this. To note: I do know of mods such as SkyRe that significantly change the skill trees, but I'd like to see if there's anything else out there that is a bit more streamlined towards a better and more efficient crafting experience. Thanks in advance.
  2. Hello there! I'm looking for a mod that I once used, but can't seem to find again. In essence it listed all available enchantments, but had them grayed out in the enchantment table until you found an item with it to disenchant. So it wasn't like a cheat giving you everything, but more like an in-game reminder of what was possible to find. Anyone know what I mean and where to find it? On that note, is there something similar with Alchemy, like a way to see all the potions you can create, but leave them grayed out until you find the correct items? Thanks in advance!
  3. I have a major problem with the Diplomatic Immunity quest. When ever I get off the carriage that takes me to the Thalmor Embassy I immediately get attacked by the guards. I have checked and I am only wearing the Party Clothes and Party Boots, and I have the Invitation. My inventory is empty except for quest items. I cannot enter or leave, nor can I sneak or do anything, I just wait for my inevitable death. I have tried letting time pass or doing other things before going but to no avail. I have also tried googling this problem but I can't find anyone who has the same issue. So, does anyone here have this problem, or know a workaround?
  4. What do you mean by "dragon mask ruins"? You mean the Nordic ruins or something else?
  5. I haven't dabbled at all in the poisons. Going to have to try that out. I've heard of the create arrows mod but I'm going to have to look at the other crafting mods better.
  6. Thought so, but just wanted to be sure. I'd call for someone to make a mod for it, but I have a feeling that is redundant as this will be one of the first things to be fixed along with all the other UI problems once the creation kit is out :)
  7. Forgive me if I'm asking a silly question, but is there a way of seeing what enchantments you know without having to go to an enchanting table? For example: I'm looking at an inventory at a store and see this weapon with this nifty enchantment, but I can't remember if I have it or not. Can my enchantments be found in some menu? Or is there a mod out there that might help? I suppose the same can be true of known Alchemy recipes.
  8. From what I've read you get a pretty nifty bow at the end of the thieves guild quest line, however the bow you get is leveled, so if you get it early it might not be as good once you've leveled up a bit. On the other hand, by doing the quests you open up a lot of fences to sell stolen goods too which will help your income if you steal a lot.
  9. Does no one have any opinion on this?
  10. I love playing stealthy archer types. In my first playthrough (that I am about half way through) I have played as such. So far I have done all of the DB quests and some of the Theives guild quests. My understanding is that the TG set you get at the end is better than the DB armor set for stealth archers. This got me thinking, for those who have played more than I have. In future playthroughs as a stealth archer, what quests/faction lines would you do early on, and why? Also, what about crafting? I have heard it is pretty good but I've hardly bothered with any of it myself. Thanks
  11. Hi, I just realised that I had copied the mother folders over to the \data directory, not the \meshes subfolders, so I did that and got it to work. However, now my game crashes everytime I transition from an indoor setting (such as Rivit City) to an outdoor setting. Any ideas? BTW Captain, you can tell if the mod is working by removing your clothing, if you're but naked then it works, if you're in dirty undies then it's not working.
  12. Hi, I just installed F3 again after quite some time and on a new system to boot. I'm running the Steam GOTY version on a win7 64bit machine. I have the FOMM and I use that to keep track of my mods and so far I have up and running the unofficial patches and the difficulty mod, with no problems there. But when I try to install the Type3 mod then FOMM doesn't seem to acknowledge it. I copy the folders into the F3 \data folder but when I load up FOMM I can see all my mods *except* Type3 in the list in the main window (where you arrange the load order). I can see the mods in the FOMM Package Manager, and they have a ticked box next to them. I have ArchiveInvalidated installed and the Fallout3.ini setting for that is set to =1 yet I still have the old style body type. I'm stumped as to why this is and would be grateful for any insight.
  13. Thanks Madgamer, tho I love digital distribution I'll stick to the physical copy in this case.
  14. @Scree000, I'll hang around a bit more and perhaps one day I will come full circle and and vent my anger at forum noobs posting in the wrong place or sum such. Can't wait for that day tbh :) @Tony, re-reading your post with sarcasm in mind works wonders, but was lost in translation the first time. The lack of hearing the tone of voice or facial expression easily leads to misinterpretation - lord knows I've been to blame for that myself more than once on other forums. :P However, perhaps a good sarcastic emoticon like rolleyes  might reduce misinterpretations? That said, while not getting me that mod I was after I do see I managed to get my first Kudos so all was not wasted!
  15. @Psyclops, thanks for that tip, I had seen it in my previous searches, but alas this is not the mod I am looking for. I remember quite distinctly that in one of the pictures one of the raider's armour showed bare breasts (not just see through sivs). I took the mod as being an overhaul of all raider armour (or at least all the female armour), not just that particular set. "Sexy" and "raider" were amongst the many search strings I used on the mod site, these forums and even Google, however I came up with nothing, hence my questioning here. @Tony, having browsed that thread before posting I took it to be a "I have a screenshot of this mod" thread, as all the posts I looked at were of that format. As I did not have a screenshot to post I thought that it was not applicable, albeit I did only view a couple of pages of the thread. On further examination of the thread after your reply here I see that I was mistaken, and for that I apologise. I could post there but that would duplicate the request and would not erase any possible damage already done by my creation of a new thread of inquiry. I am, however, somewhat puzzled by the manner of your response. A single link would have been enough, but ten more times? I would perhaps understand this if I was a repeated offender of my mistake and continually blatantly disregarded any advice that was pointed in my direction, but as you might have noticed, I am new to these forums and this post of mine was in fact the very first I made. Now, I don't wish to start my life on these forums on the wrong footing and I acknowledge my mistake I wish to offer you my apologies for having seemingly offended you with my ignorance. However, I would like to suggest that in the future you might find that correcting the mistakes of new forum members can be done slightly more tactfully. That said, you have my blessing for going all out ballistic on repeat offenders and those who simply refuse to take advice.
