  1. I have the Ultimate Edition downloaded from Steam... How do I determine the prefix for DM? Also, do I type in exactly what you wrote into the console? e.g. If my prefix is 01, do I only have to type "resetquest 0100E882" after opening the console?
  2. I was hoping somebody could assist me in doing this. I have transfered the .pro file to the ControlMK folder, however the program does not recognise it or lost it in the profiles window. Should I downgrade to an older version? I have activated the profile in J2K and everything actually works ok EXCEPT for the left thumbstick, and the game does not recognise the pad in the menus.
  3. I notice I haven't recieved a reply yet. I will assume that's because questions like these are a dime a dozen. So, in order to get your attention I will start speaking more technically and tell you about what I have achieved so far. Firstly, as stated above, I installed the "Malos" nudity mod and so far it's worked well: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=872 One very good aspect to this mod was how there were various textures available varying according to NPC skin colour, so a snow-white NPC would be snow-white all over when undressed. However this mod is lacking the punch I desire as I really want some way in which I can regularly find nude or semi-nude NPCs. As it stands the Malos mod is only good for dead NPCs who have had their clothes looted, and for the rare case where a living NPC does not have any clothes. So yeah, hardly a thrill a minute. I downloaded some other mods to see what resulted. One particiularly popular and good looking mod was the "Exnem" replacer: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8524 However it doesn't seem to do anything. I am using a male PC, so I was hoping that the replacer would have an effect on NPCs, but it doesn't. Am I to understand that the Exnem mod is only for the PC, not NPCs? If it was intended for NPCs, how do I activate it? It's a shame if it is only limited to PCs as the screenshots look fantastic. The Mod that seemed to finally be the answer to my problems was Growlf's Sexy FO3 Replacer: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3220 Initially it seemed fantastic. Moira's new Jumpsuit was breathtaking, the Rivert City Guards looked great, Raider suits were great, and dead NPCs were able to be stripped of all their clothes. BUT, The Red Racer Jumpsuit on Jenny Stahl had it's texture placement all wrong, as the whole texture map, shoe-soles and all, was miniaturised and made her look like a strange patchwork. Other NPCs looked completely ugly in that the skin tones were all out of whack, for example, a raider with a white face would have a brown body, joined awfully by an obvious line at her neck, whilst a Black Megaton resident strangely had her face/neck turn white... I do not know why. I tried each Mod seperately, as well as trying various combinations, but to no avail. The only mod that worked well was the Malos one, and as I said that one is a bit too tame for me. Please , if you've enjoyed the thrill of using nude mods and have found a solution that works well for you, please share it with me. I'll be very appreciative. I knew this would take some trial and error, so I hope some of you out there have enjoyed the thrill of using Nude mods and have found something that really spices up things for a male PC without a plethora of bugs. Please let me know!
  4. Hello folks, I have been enoying using mods lately, and having squeezed as much fun out of Fallout 3 as possible, I am hoping to make things more interesting by using some R rated mods. I have particularly enjoyed the Seduction mod where I can use my Lady Killer perk to seduce women as well as the "Wasteland Reproduction Guide" quest. However I was hoping to find something more... I presently have this nudity mod installed: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1037 however it seems to only show nudity when a defeated enemy is stripped, or when an NPC is in underwear. I was hoping for a more risque mod, maybe one where more NPCs are nude, or where I have the ability to ask them to disrobe. Are there any? Also, any suggestions for good armour/clothing mods with partial nudity will be much appreciated. Regards!
  5. Hello folks, I will try and remain as composed and polite as possible as I write this, but it is going to be very hard. Forgive me if I come across as rude, I probably will. It's 12:20am, my head is a blur and I am angry because about an hour ago I sat down full of high-spirits ready to play a mod which I read to be "better than any of the DLCs" by some commenters on the Nexus website, instead I found one of the most uninspired, frustrating and convolutedly designed puzzles that's ever been placed in a game. Put simply, I am stuck not far into the game on level II of the massive cube. The one you're dragged into at the start. I am stuck in an area that consists of two levels. The upper level is where I found my second set of Holotags next to a corpse with a note saying "The purple rooms are safe for now". I hope you folks are able to remember the part I am talking about. I have searched you-tube for a walkthrough but the only videos I can find is of a guy called CameronEgdeF playing through it. He seems more concerned about showing people the "cool" ways in which one can die, as if people who play the mod won't be experiencing death enough during their own play-through. What's more is that he seems to have completely skipped over the part I am stuck on, so he's really no help at all. Anyway, the problem is that in the room where the corpse, note and holotag is I have no option but to go down the hole in the centre of the room. Once down there I can get back to the level I came from easily, but once back up there I have very few options. One yellow room contains a red laser beam blocking access to the door behind it. I can find no means of turning off the laser beams. Also on this level is a red room with electricity that kills me instantly, as well as a strange blue room with a series of 3D yellow arrows surrounding a hole, a series of blue force fields also surround the hole and arrows, touching the blue force fields kills me instantly so I cannot jump down the hole (However if the maps I have made are correct, falling down the hole will only take me to the lower level I just came from). It appears that this upper-level has little in the way of options, I mapped it using a pen and paper and yes, it seems that unless I can a) resist electricity, b) turn off laser beams or c) walk through the blue force firelds to jump down the hole I have little option but to explore the lower level I just mentioned as a means of escape, but I can't help but suspect that's where I cam from in the first place. OK, so I explore the lower level. Jumping down the hole which takes me there places me in a grey room with two corpses. Following the available paths leads me to a lift to the upper level (the one I just discussed), as well as an electrified red room, a yellow room with a blast furnace on the floor, and a considerable distance from the lift is a purple room that leads to two strange rooms with blue force fields, one with them arranged in a square and one that has criss crossing blue beams, all the aforementioned features kill me in an instant. It seems I am isolated to these two floors with nowhere to go. Adding to my frustration is the annoying frame-rate drop I have had to endure because of the sheer size of the cell and the constantly opening and closing doors. If anyone has any idea how to get past this PLEASE let me know. Now that I have explained my predicament I feel the need to state: This mod must get gob-smackingly awesome in an unimaginable way AFTER this annoying puzzle/maze because EVERY single commenter on the nexus website is seriously RAVING about this mod. I simply can't fathom how anybody can resist abusing the modder and therefore must assume that the content later in the game is of a quality never seen because these opening maze sequences have been absolutely TERRIBLE. I can't imagine any gamer anywhere in the world rating this mod highly if the rest of the mod is a mere continuation of this awful gameplay. It is a total mess both technically and conceptually that has NO place in the Fallout universe, even a fake one, and totally wastes the potential that all the items, themes and game mechanics having a GECK can offer. Please assure me that there is some depth, some variety, some enjoyable gameplay after this maze... Please... I mean, how on Earth can ONE person rate this mod, let alone hundreds, if what I have seen so far is a sign of what is to come? If the modder was trying to create some sort of Portal style maze he needs to remember than in portal the solution may not always me clear to us but the TOOLS we have at our disposal are clear and that is the way it should be. Your help would be appreciated, trust me!
  6. Exactly what is Edit master? What does it do? I am yet to install it...
  7. Thanks... I have disabled GFWL and everything is working wonderfully at the moment. I will follow all your other advice as well. Pardon the n00b whining, I am a habitual console gamer, so working under hood is NOT my speciality, but I learn from my mistakes =)
  8. Thanks for your help, I got the textures working! However I am again angry and simmering at myself for even botheirng to try using mods. Do you know why I haven't used Mods for Fallout 3 before, and why I didn't even bother buying Oblivion "For the mods"? Because I knew stupid crap like this would happen! Last night I tried using them, got myself all excited when they SEEMED to work well, but now I feel crushed and annoyed because it seems you have to be some sort of C++ de-*censored* to be able to run these things properly. OK, this issue has affected me for ALL mods that I have played, whether or not I loaded them using FOMM. In each instance only ONE mod was installed, the one I was trying to play. My current issue is frequent Crashes to Desktop whenever I try to save my game in an area that contains user-created material. It is SO infuriating. For example: "A Little Mutant Problem" There is one quest where you have to fight a ridiculously huge Beserker outside the Super-Duper Mart. Trying to fast travel from this area (which initiates an auto-save) or save my game whilst there causes a CTD. I decided the Mod was a bit to silly for me anyway so I decided to uninstall it. PROBLEM SOLVED. "Megaton Contacts" I mentioned the Big Green Bear in my original post. Again, trying to Fast Travel from this area or save my game there manually caused a CTD. I simply walked to Canterbury commons and saved my game there, and went on to finish all the quests and then uninstalled the Mod. PROBLEM SOLVED. "A note easily missed" 'So, now I embark on a mod that seems grander than the two I just tried. I have trouble with the textures, but as I stated I fixed that thanks to this thread. However now I can't enter the Tiger manufacturing plant. Entering it causes a CTD every time. And, as I predicted, saving whilst outside the bulding causes a CTD. It seems there is something fundamentally wrong with my system. It cannot be because of mod clashes because each of these mods were installed totally independent of the other. I do not have a clue what it is. I have 32-bit vista and apart from the occasional random CTD whilst playing Fallout 3 and DLC, everything runs just fine! Please, school me here folks, suggest some sort of tweak or maintenence I can undertake that will allow me to enjoy mods as much as you guys. Should I reinstall Fallout? I'd rather not because knowing my luck GFWL will stuff up the update. I have all my achievements so maybe installing a mod that makes the game playable WITHOUT GFWL would help? What do you think? My PC said it doesn't need a de-frag. Graphics drrivers are up to date. What the hell could be the problem here? Do I need to install GECK? PLEASE help me here folks. I have so many ideas about what I would do if I were to make a mod but I can tell you now that if I can't even play one of the bloody things that is NEVER going to happen. All I wanna do is enjoy more Fallout 3 and become part of the mod-users community, but as far as I can see bad luck just won't let me do it. ANY suggestions that would assist me in fine-tuning my game for Mod use would be MUCH apreciated!
  9. Hello folks, I have started using mods that add new quests to the game but have unfortunately found that any the textures are not working properly. The first time I noticed this was when the "Great Green Yao Guai" from the "Megaton Contacts" mod wasn't green at all and instead took on the texture of whatever the beast was standing on. It was amusing because it reminded me of the Nick Nolte monster from the 2003 Hulk movie. I hoped that it was a problem specific only to that mod. Now I am playing the "A note easily missed" mod and have found the same problem. All the cool new posters that the modder has made appear as strange orange blobs, or take on another texture found elsewhere in the cell... or combines a flickering mixture of both. Also, all the map pictures that the mod allows you do D/L to your Pop Boy don't appear either, just a PipOS error message. My first concern is maybe my file structure is wrong. I have noticed that most mods add the folders "Textures", "Sounds" and "Meshes" to my FO3 Data folder. Is that where they're supposed to be? Or are they in an incorrect location? My second concern is that maybe my graphical preferences are not allowing the textures to be displayed. I am using low-res options so as to ensure my framerate is nice and smooth, could it be that these settings will not allow the modder-made textures to display? That seems vaguely plausible, but does not account for why the Pip Boy images aren't displayed. I really need your help. I have a feeling that if I get past this I'll be able to lose myself for hours in this mod. Lastly, I have downloaded the mod where you can me intimate with various wasteland ladies (for purely novel pruposes!), you should know the one I mean, it's the most popular quest mod! Anyway. I use FOMM to unpack that one and it places the files in a file structure similar to the one described above, but I get a CTD whenever I start the game... a fraction of the first slide shows but then, crash! I would appreciate your help!
