Now I'm sure I will get a whole bunch of smarmy comments here, but I gotta vent... :wallbash: going on 2nd playthrough, thought I would go from Goodsprings to Crimson Caravan the back way around, instead of the "easy" way, but: - Have you ever spent an hour off of a quicksave, trying to get through a giant radscorpion, a radscorpion, about 6 or 7 cazadores all @ the same area - at level 8 - with your most powerful weapon (cowboy repeater) intermittently not working, VATS worthless, Iron sights not worth a sh1t......game controls choppy @ best, reloading takes a half hour..... good Gawd! * gimme a break* - patch please? (s'pose it didn't help that I burned down my good video card the other night, my backup card a Geforce 8400...... think I'm just all around frosted right now - but I kinda feel better now that I've punched some keys :blush: ) Probably just getting too old for this crap

Yeah.... :wallbash: Swallowed hard, went way back to a save game where I could get back in (pretty much right after I got my counterfeit passport :blink: ). My monorail was already blown up. - Like the Ogre's idea :thumbsup: - too late for me though.

So, quite into the game.... can see Ceasar after NOT blowing up equipment in bunker. (blew up bunker, saw Ceasar, went to strip & killed house - all worked good. decided I didn't like that option) Go to strip to deliver chip - gate says "need key, cannot pick". tried before going to see Ceasar again, tried after killing Benny in arena. All the same - can't get in. WTF????

Warrick is a rogue raider who will shoot @ you on sight. Grab his sunglasses! - not many in the wasteland. On the original topic: Wiki is an amazing source of information, but it still isn't "coughing up" any info on the mysterious named wastelanders that you can usually get a few words out of. (they really aren't very nice to you when you are running w/ good karma...)

I have run into a lot of "wasters" in my travels, and I notice a few of them out there are given actual names (???) - you don't really get anywhere talking to them, and most are quite "offish". -anybody have some insight into this?-

Most favorite: That's gotta be my boy, Fawkes.... king of the one liners. (I win AGAIN/ next time put up a fight/ etc.). He kind of reminds me of myself! :thumbsup: Least favorite: Madison Li, think it's all been said already - so I won't :whistling:

New plan that works!! :thumbsup: Instead of firing your follower, quick travel to train tunnel to the Pitt, get on the hand cart & go there. Game will load, and you will get a prompt saying " so and so has returned to ___________". Then you can go back to the Capital wasteland right away - with no follower "activated". Then pick whoever you want, or not. Both Charon & Fawkes will be good to go if you need them!

yeah, fired him from the infirmery this go-round (never outright fired him...he always went to museum after the Pitt or Point Lookout. He was hanging around the homing beacon after M. Zeta.... :confused:

Hey Fo3 junkies! I had "fired" Fawkes temporarily (in the citatel @ beginning of broken steel, after I wake up, and am done talking to Lyons sr.) because I had something to do that Charon was better suited for. I had assumed the "firings" could be undone, & Fawkes said I am disappointed but not surprised, I will be in the museum of history researching if you change your mind"" - :blink: he isn't there, where he always has been waiting on my other playthroughs!! I am crestfallen.... ideas anybody? (other than restarting roughly two hours of play time?)

yeah.... just. gonna. start. OVER.(carefully) UPDATE: Man, I sure don't know wtf was going on, but reinstalled FO3 & all the DLCs, then FOMM.... then carefully placed files. SHEEITOLA have I got mods rolling! Hair mods, face mods, weapons mods, beautiful looking Exnem's body replacer! (spending a lot of time in Moriarity's "club") Gonna rock-n-roll for a few days, & maybe try Dimon's type 3 again... SWEET!! :thumbsup:
