  1. I would join, whee! He was also my guy's favorite character outside of Morrigan when he played. I love that Oghren is so IMPERFECT and doesn't apologize for it at all, in a way he is actually kind of sad if you really think about it. Not me saying he is sad in the way that makes you feel sorry for him, but that he has had such a hard time of it since Branka and struggled to find where he belongs after being cast out of his former status in Orzammar. And then you find out that he left *so n so and her so n so* (dunno how to do spoiler tags!) when you play Awakening, and you realize that he is just not made for anything but fighting and being a warrior until the day he dies. He is kind of a one track guy with a few pit stops of women and drinking along the way but otherwise he is a stout fighting machine and that's all. But you have to admit if you were having to fight a war and travel non stop you would love to have someone like him to lighten the mood!!! That or want to throttle him for not shutting up lmao! And I hope all that made sense since I'm sitting here with a horrible sinus infection and it's hard to get my brain to work lolol!
  2. ***this is not a thread asking for help - I just wanted a place to vent about some things and if you have EA issues to vent join in  *** No one probably remembers this, but a few weeks ago I posted how I was given a couple of achievements in DAO without earning them. Well that was just the beginning of all my account issues. I think it all started when a 'friend' of mine found out my EA password and I knew she got into my account so, to avoid any problems that could cause me, I changed my password. A week later is when all my trouble started after that, first with that little achievement bug (which may or not even be related to what came after) and then the game was suddenly not recognizing my DLC. It would take a few check - uncheck- restart- check box again, but eventually the game would read that I owned the content and let me go. Then I updated my computer to Windows 7 and had to reinstall everything three days ago and BAM it would not let me download any of my DLC once again. This time it would appear in the area to BUY yet when I clicked BUY it would say 'You already own this' yet not let me download anything. Not to mention it kept kicking me out of my Logged In state. So for the past 3 days I have literally spent over 5 hours on the phone with EA ... literally no lie I think when I added up phone time it was 5 hours and some odd minutes. Tonight it was 2 hours and 9 minutes after being kicked to a Teir 3 tech guy. They are finally concluding my account is messed up and creating an entire new one for me! GAH. Made me go make a new email and gave me a random username and password and it is STILL not fixed it was all taking so long that they are going to stick to emails with me now since I was on hold for 20 minutes earlier with them dealing with it all. And it is still not fixed as I said, I'm just waiting. And I'm worried about all my other EA games, how will this mess with those? If I'm buying new DAO stuff will I have to log into a 2nd EA account JUST for this game? Gah. My head is exploding I am so tired of the issues and dealing with it all while I'm sick as a dog with a horrible sinus infection. *flops off pouting and mumbling and kicking things* Thank you for letting me rant  *gives anyone who read all that cookies and coffee*
  3. Thank you so much, I didn't even think to look there - I tend to avoid that site, lol!
  4. It means Downloadable Content - and yeah you have to have an account to buy it for the game. There is a mod on the nexus that hides him for you if you don't plan on buying it and have no desire to look at that '!' in game all the time, lol! not sure of the link but just google or search the nexus for how to hide the guy.
  5. I know there is the 'Adopted' Mod but I really liked playing with All origins Playable mod instead but I can't seem to find it again! I recently had my computer upgraded and I need to redo my downloads but have looked for over an hour for this particular one with no luck. :( Anyone know? P.S. HAI! :woot: I have been out of town for ages and just wanted to officially say hi to everyone! :teehee:
  6. Oh wow thank you so much for this! I was getting all boggled over this mod so I am bookmarking this to come back and walk my way through these :) Thank you Stardusk!
  7. I realized while replying to a Darkspawn Chronicles comment that I was given the achievement for my Ogre never dying when he actually did die in my game ... twice. But I just said 'whatever' and went on. Well, last night when I was playing at Redcliffe, going through the manor, I came upon a trap and just eased around it without setting anything off and attacked the skeletons. And then ... I suddenly got the achievement for setting 25 traps ... which I have never done and was saving for my Dalish Rouge. I'm kind of annoyed about this since I really enjoy working towards achievements and hate that I lost out on that one. Has anyone else had any achievements given without purpose? Gah, I don't want them for things I haven't done!
  8. Oh I think I got that achievement actually, which was odd b/c my ogre died once lolol! But ohhh you know now that I think about it ... I think that achievement I am missing is for Awakening if I side against Architect since I didn't in my first playthrough. It's just at the bottom by the DC stuff so I think I got it confused lolol!!
  9. I think there was a thread like this a while ago, but psh I want to comment again! I am NOT a dwarf fan, but I think the dwarf origins are two of the best in the game. Mainly the commoner one since it is beyond epic and amazing to go from the slums to standing before the crème de la crème of society as the greatest warrior they have! Just so powerful when you whip off that helmet and the camera zooms in on your face - amazing. Then I have to say the best is the City Elf, just so amazing how you, as a nobody, can take revenge on a human for killing and harming those you love. You infiltrate a royal home and slaughter them all like the dogs they behave as - you can't get much better than that! Plus all the loot you pick up, that shield you get is amazing with it's high stats! My least favorite is the Dalish Elf, I can't stand the Dalish for some reason that I honestly cannot explain. The only thing I like about that quest is that 1)You get infected by Darkspawn and are dying, therefore you have to become a Warden to live 2)The merchant is very cool to have. You get a lot of loot in that origin and why in the world do other origins not have merchants? I would really love to have that in every origin story.
  10. See, now that is the entire reason I want to make her useful, because I love her and want her banter!! So thank you so so much for telling me how you use her, I am going to try her out as soon as I get her in this game I'm playing now. May I ask how you distribute her stats? Is it best to put it mostly into constitution? I always figured Dex was good for her since it helps with accuracy and I figured at least she would HIT things when she tries too with that! LOL!
  11. I feel bad I laughed when Alistair leveled up just as you killed that old man, lol! Ah gosh, I played my evil chick but it never crossed my mind to kill the old dude there. Poor guy!! OH! But reason it didn't was b/c I didn't save Redcliffe, I went and told the people I wouldn't help  Then left, so the monsters killed everyone. *cries* I felt soooooooooooo bad doing it omg I almost went back to save them but my best friend was like NOOO BE STRONG KEEP YOUR HEART COLD!!!! ~such good friends I have~ lmaooo!!! But yay for videos!! I love seeing them and hope other people post theirs too ... I should record things too but I always forget to do it!
  12. @Thandal, thank you for that definition! *gives cookies* @Ronin, that is so amazing and I will be sure to address you properly from now on! @Wolf & Rusty, I forgot about him saying those things! And yeah I agree that it's a little too late for him realizing his butt has been kicked by someone greater than him! *struts* @Star, you do! Majority rules! *pats your evil loving head* LOLOLOL!
  13. You get an achievement for getting max approval from all your darkspawn pals  But I don't get why people are hating on the little Add-On - I mean, come on people, what did you expect? It's an Add-On which means it will be short and over pretty fast, not to mention it is separate from the game so there would be nothing else to it. Why the disappointment? Why the 'this is crap'? Surely no one expected more than what we received from it? DC was everything I expected it to be, actually a bit more since it was so freaking difficult which I really liked! I always play on Nightmare so when I went into the game it was set as that and I kept dying so had to kick it down to Normal. I really loved the Sheik and Ogre, they were my favorites to control! I actually ignored my Vanguard from the moment I got those other two since they were way more fun with new abilities I had never played with before. I wonder if this little add-on will effect shapeshifting mods for the base game now? Since we have these new abilities and such for them. And yeah, Sten was so freaking hard to kill omg!!!! THREE of my people died before I got him down finally, It was like one hit from his sword kicked my health down to near death. Man, I want to know his stats since he was the hardest to kill I want to set him up like that in the base game, lolol! But I also loved seeing all the Origins people fighting, from Gorim to Ser Perth and people like the old Arl's son running around and Goldanna - very cool. I think the easiest person to kill was the battle with Wynne and the Templars, that just went by super fast - thankfully! Like two hits and she was down then it was easy pickings to get the Templars off your pack. And I liked the fact there were no mages to fight ... proves Alistair would have destroyed the Circle for his Templar buddies  All in all I enjoyed the little Add-On, I will play it at least once more to max out darkspawn approval to get that achievement and then try to figure out what the one other achievement I am missing is ... since it says a mystery  But after that I probably won't play it again, but I can't complain about the game, it was more than I expected it to be.
  14. It is totally free roaming, which is what makes it great. The game will lead and direct you if you desire it too, but most often you pick and choose where you want to go and when. Most people go directly to Redcliffe their first playthrough then Circle of Magi or Sacred Ashes since those are the two directions you are led after Redcliffe. I, personally, usually start out with Circle of Magi and then the Dwarfs next but that is for two reasons - 1) The Magi quest gives you a lot of attribute stats in The Fade, you just have to explore every room and I want to toss you lots of luck for the maze that is The Fade!! lol! And 2) Dwarfs next because it is the longest quest of the game and I want to get it out of the way, plus you pick up so freaking much loot that I usually need it for the gold earlier in the game. But that is just how I go about things ... and only after completing the game 3 times did I start that routine, lol! But gosh, does anyone else wish they could go back to their first playthrough without all the knowledge we have now? I sometimes do since I was so excited and nervous my first time! Good luck goth, and keep us updated on your progress, I want to know how things are going in your game and choices you make etc. So fun being your first time! *gives you cookies and wiggles off*
  15. @Wolf - you summed her up in absolute perfection. That entire post should be added to an official Morrigan page  Beautifully written and perfectly describes her depth and phycological thought patterns that make her so fascinating.
