My solution to this same problem wasn't a mod. I just saved a game right at the exit and started using that final gate to make any edits for the new character (race, class, birthsign) and just saved it as a new file before I exited the sewer. EDIT: BUT... to be more helpful, here's some stuff that's already a lot like what you're describing, while maintaining a minimal impact on the actual gameplay afterward. Alternative Start v1.3 "This mod starts your character out just outside of Leyawiin. He is a wanderer who has finally found a land he can start over in. This version starts the game off with a charGen box and with the mainQuest started off." Alternative Start Arrive by Ship "This mod makes it so that instead of starting in the Imperial Prison like a common criminal, and having to do the tutorial, you start in your cabin aboard a ship." Player Starts Elsewhere "After watching - or skipping! - the intro cinematic, you shouldn't end up in the default prison cell, but in a farmhouse in the middle of nowhere, where you'll pick your race and class as usual." Start Choices It's probably better you read this one thoroughly before considering it.
