Thanks alot guys. i did place the texture files in the correct place the first time... i think. just to be sure ill check that out. and thanks for the info about the hair and the vanilla characters. but is there any way (besides the character not working) to see if they are not placed corectly. (ie. location of file to place textures/ meshes would be a great help) all in all thanks for the help so far and if you can answer these last few questions you have my appreciation. Thanks for helping out a new modder.

I downloaded rens beauty pack from http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4431 and i am having a problem. my character has pink skin and her face is only a floating jaw. also the hair doesnt work on the base races. i have no other mods installed besides the one that makes the dark elf prisoner across the way from your cell talk to you. I have been working on this all weekend. :wallbash: any ideas as to what the problem might be or solutions are EXTREMELY apreciated. :thanks:

I reinstalled it and im still having problems with rens beauty pack. please help. it still is only the purple skinand floating teeth. and i cant use the hair either.

hahah sorry. i have like over 100 mods. i think ill just re install and try again.

okay, iv been trying to get rens beauty pack to work for a while. but unfortunately it wont. iv put the meshes and textures in the correct folders and the esp in the correct place. but when i am making my character, i always get this thing thats missing a face, only has a jaw and ears and its body is purple. what am i doing wrong?

okay lately i have been trying to download a couple mods for new races and weps: lets start with the wepon problem. I try to download a cresent blade and some scythes. i have them and when i equipt them, in the menu it looks like im holding nothing. and when i exit the menu i looks like im holding a giant exclemation mark. I also see these exclemation marks on the shops in the arcane universety. wich brings me to problem #2 - i find the midas magic shop in the arcane universety but i cant buy the spells from the guy. and its so hard to navagate in there because almost all the objects are just giant exclemation points. and my third problem. i downloaded a couple new races. like the anwolf race and some others. but when i start a new game and try to pick them as my race, instead of showing me their face, it shows me the bars of the prison cell. and when i finish creating my character, my char only has a jaw for a face (nothing else) and their body is purple? any suggestions are appreciated. thank you for taking the time to read this and maybe help.

I am new to the modding community and lately iv been modding oblivion. i have a couple mods but not alot of the ones i really want. i try to download some race mods and every time i open up winace to extract them... the winace file is empty. it happens to alot the mods i download now. not just the ones with races. any idea what the problem might be? thanks
